“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever!”
1 Chronicles 16:34
As infants in the world of blogging, we are overwhelmed and very grateful for the response. When we started on August 3, we had NO idea what to expect! So many have encouraged us and helped us along the way–fellow bloggers and readers alike. It’s something we had considered doing for a couple of years and finally made the blog part of our everyday living. We pray that our efforts honor God, encourage others, and bring out some smiles.
I have read many blogs prior to starting ours, but just wasn’t sure how to get connected to other bloggers. But that all changed just last month when we discovered link parties. Link Parties offer the opportunity to post your individual blog posts onto other’s blogs in hopes of discovering others’ and being discovered. Usually once a week, the blogger hosting the link party will “feature” a few of the links that joined the link party and it is sort of a “spotlight” kind of thing. Basically, the posts that are being featured have grabbed the readers attention.
Our blog has been featured several times now and I wanted to introduce you all to the bloggers who have been so kind and welcoming during these first three months!
Tablescape Tuesday: The Wedding Edition
It was sheer joy to design Seth’s and Allie’s wedding! Each table was unique. I set up each individual one at home and diagrammed the setting before packing each tablescape separately into large containers for my assistants to manage on the “big day”!
This post was featured by:
Karin over at The Style Sisters. The link party that she hosts each week is “Centerpiece Wednesday”.
Sherry at The Charm of Home also recognized this post. She opens up a link party named “Home Sweet Home”
Nita at Mod Vintage Life on “Mod Mix Monday”
Tablescape Tuesday: Reservations for Two Under the Arbor
Butch and I love our acreage in the foothills of the Appalachians–we have lived here for almost thirty-six years! We enjoy eating alfresco as often as possible. Funny story: on this particular night, we were attempting to finish before a storm set in!
This one was featured by:
Nita at Mod Vintage Life on “Mod Mix Monday”
Kathy at Delightsome Life on “Home and Garden Thursday”
Tablescape Tuesday: Dining Out
This little picnic was so much fun!! It was a perfect autumn Sunday afternoon to be outside! You should have seen Butch carting everything we needed down to our “little space” in a wheelbarrow–quite a sight! Everyone seems to love the bicycle!

Everyday Living at Patti’s
I have been helping my friend, Patti with her house from the time it was built. She has great style and I am so thrilled that so many of you have enjoyed our little tour. Stay tuned–we will finish touring her home in the near future!

Roadtrippin’ and Tablescapin’
It is easy to set a beautiful table at Patti’s. You will be invited back to her dining room and morning room for more tablescapes!

I was so happy to feature your blog. Without talented bloggers like you it would be a party over at Home Sweet Home! Thanks for joining me.

It’s so fun to hear how people started blogging. I started in it so totally opposite than most. Started after my youngest daughter suggested I do it. She said, “Mom, you should start a blog. I think you’d have fun sharing your gardening and decorating”. I blogged for two years for just family and a few friends. Hence, the name: Have a Daily Cup of Mrs. Olson. Thought it would be a place for them to check in and see what mom is up to. While waiting for a hair trim at my salon I picked up a magazine and saw a blog featured. I had no idea that people visited blogs of someone they didn’t know. lol! I visited that blog and from there I saw a list on her sidebar that took me to others. Boy did my world change! I remember when I found my first link party and tried to figure out how to link up. Hee-hee, it was quite humorous. I still have a lot I don’t know, but baby I’ve come a long way! I really enjoyed featuring you and so appreciate the shout out! Thanks again for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
