“For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him”
Psalm 103:11
I know, I know…it’s not even Thanksgiving yet and here is a Christmas post!
I haven’t actually started any
decorating yet, but it’s never too early to start looking, right?
In addition to the trees and vignettes found in the common areas in our home, I love to add a little Christmas to our bedrooms!
When Seth was a little boy, the magic of Christmas started when we would put that first decoration in his bedroom…
a small handcrafted Nativity!
Next came his tabletop tree, teddy bear
flannel sheets, and red & white quilts on his bed!
We rounded it all out with a stocking hanging on his door!
But you don’t have to do all of that! It can be simple by adding a few wrapped presents, Christmas pillows, a much-loved stuffed
teddy bear dressed in Christmas pj’s, a candle, greenery…
the festive and inexpensive ideas are endless!
But, we don’t want to wait until the night before Christmas…it’s time to make a plan and let the decorating begin on Friday after Thanksgiving!
You can find most of these rooms on my Pinterest board Joyeaux Noel.
Click the photo for its original source. A bedroom dressed in dark saturated colors is punctuated with fresh wreaths in the windows and a swag of magnolia leaves, pine cones, and clove studded lemons draped above a painting!
A perfect room for children with an old-school tree!
A snowflake quilt and pillows is all that is needed to welcome the Christmas season!
I imagine this cute bedroom for grandchildren…with filled stockings hanging from the beds!
Dressing a bedroom for Christmas is as simple as adding a cardinal duvet and a rustic wreath hanging over the bed!
Dear Santa quilted bedding makes for a sweet retreat for children during the Christmas season!
How simple…a wreath and ticking pillows wrapped in bows with sprigs of greenery!
Festive bedding and touches of the season bring smiles to the cute faces of little boys!
Once again, quilts can bring Christmas to a bedroom!
A fireplace and cozy bedding!
An example of just adding fresh greenery!
Simple touches…red letters spelling Noel, a wreath on the bed, red and white quilt, snowflake pillow!
Love this bedding of tartan plaids!
Pottery Barn always has cute Christmas bedding for children!
A guest room is made ready for welcoming visitors during the “most wonderful time of the year”!
Children’s bedrooms are the most fun to decorate at Christmas!
What about you? Do you add Christmas to your bedrooms?
I would love to know how you decorate for the season!

Love Christmas bedding! You picked beautiful ones! You even selected my bedding I just added to my bedroom! I never tire of perusing Christmas decorating pictures!
Karen, I save all Christmas issues of magazines! I love to check out all the details! Thanks, I bet your bedding looks lovely!
I’m so inspired! Thanks, Pam, for sharing these wonderful bedrooms. I’ve never decorated bedrooms for Christmas, but you’ve put me in the mood. 🙂
Kim, I don’t do a lot in my bedrooms, but just little touches of Christmas here and there!
Such fun Pam! I can’t wait to add some Christmas cheer to the master bedroom!
Jenna
Jenna, I can’t wait either! I may do a little this coming weekend!
They are all so beautiful!! My favorite is the pic with the wrapped ticking pillows…LUV!!!
Martina, I pinned that a few weeks ago and apparently it struck a chord…it has been repinned a bunch! Blessings, Pam
OMGoodness, I love it all! I decorate my guest room too and have been getting some neat new things for this year! Can’t wait to get started. I am pinning away now!!! Thanks for all this inspiration! Hoping to find that cardinal comforter!:):)
Great ideas all, but I have to confess to being a real loser when it comes to doing much in the way of adding Christmas touches in the bedroom. No one is in any but ours these days.
I can’t blame you! My husband has been saying over the past weeks that we need to downsize the decorating! As we get older, it does get harder!
Keeping things simple is what appeals to me these days.
Love all of these. Great ideas.
Thanks so much Vicky! Hopefully it gave you some ideas! Wishing you a lovely week!
Love your inspiration photos! I have been planning too. One cannot wait till after desert on Thanksgiving to come up with a master plan! Ha!

Thanks, Tianna! Holiday bedding sets a beautiful room!
These pictures are magazine perfect, for sure. Lots of inspiration. My mom used to decorate every room in the house. I don’t, but think it’s lovely.
Doyle, my Mon used to decorate every room, also! Thanks and wishing you a lovely Thanksgiving!
I would love to ‘do’ the bedroom for Christmas and winter – I’d choose a very English Manor House tartan vibe. Maybe after the Girl Child finishes college! You chose wonderful images. I love everyone. Cheers.
Susan, I love the English tartan look! Thanks and have a lovely Thanksgiving!
I can’t wait to decorate, Friday after Thanksgiving. Love the pictures you posted. Small trees go in the girls’ rooms and a touch of holly in ours. The gallery hall gets special lights. In China my entire main floor was decorated with Christmas colors year round. My favorite! Have a good day! Linda
Linda, love the small touches of Christmas in the bedroom! Have a lovely weekend!

So much wonderful inspiration! I love dressing up the bedrooms a little for Christmas as well. 7 or so years ago I made a redwork quilt for our King bed. Can’t wait to pull it out! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
