“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony”
Colossians 3:14
The shelves are stocked with conversation hearts and chocolates while shades of pinks and red are lining the storefronts. And that can only mean one thing…Valentine’s Day is just around the corner! Traditionally, the 14th of February is spent with a spouse or significant other, but sometimes isn’t it fun to have an afternoon of girl talk?!
You all know by now that I love coffee and treats, and today I wanted to share an easy and inexpensive way to have a small group of friends over to enjoy the afternoon! Using your coffee table allows for a smaller and more intimate setting…and eliminates the planning of a large “dinner party”! You can offer a few pick-up sweet items from your local bakery and savory mini sandwiches! My little spread was less than $20 including flowers…and don’t we all love flowers?! The setting is simple and small…and it all comes together to make for such a sweet afternoon!
The coffee table has been set with an assortment of finger foods!
Coffee mugs and plates are a sweet Churchill toile pattern that I found at Tuesday Morning several years ago!
The two-tiered stand holds an array of sweets! Petit fours on top with cannoli, cranberry-orange scones, and lemon poppy seed muffins on the bottom!
Pink mini-carnations fill three small vases and are sitting on a mirrored box!
My silver coffee service was a special gift many years ago with a story that I must share someday!
I placed a couple of books on the table with the title “Things Pondered” on top! Have you ever wondered what the things were that Mary pondered in her heart?
“But Mary treasured up all these things, pondering them in her heart”
Luke 2:19
Pork tenderloin sliders with honey BBQ sauce sit under a cloche!
