“With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!”
Psalm 119:10
Where can you use high style and drama, over the top decorating, and make a personal statement in a small space? In a powder room, of course! With wallpaper making a huge comeback, (personally, I’m not sure it really ever left) a powder room is the perfect spot for a colorful design without breaking the budget! When styling a powder room, I would always tell my clients, “this is the one room that your guests close the door and pay attention to their surroundings”! Often I would have the walls hand-painted which made them totally unique to that homeowner! I even had several ceilings gold gilded! Talk about a making a statement!
A powder room can be the jewel box of a home…especially if it’s topped off with a small chandelier. Because of its size, a powder room can be one of the least expensive spaces to makes changes. Be creative and maybe get out of your comfort zone and have a little fun! Hopefully you will be inspired by these rooms that I am sharing!

Beautiful, Pam! I prefer the vanities that are closed in and do not have the pipes showing, but all are lovely.

Pam, I also decked out the powder room near the foyer as a perfect little jewel box. Ceiling and walls papered in a pink swag wallpaper, formal gold framed mirror, green glass knobs and a large oil painting with a gold frame to relate to the mirror. An antique light fixture that I’ve carried to every house I’ve lived in. It has been in two different foyers but is most beautiful in the perfect little jewel box power room.

Okay, what is going on here?! The first time I looked at this post there was a fabulous powder room with zebra wallpaper; the next time I looked, it was gone. Have I completely lost it? At any rate, as bold and wild as it was, I really did love those zebras. Visiting from Foodie Friday.

It’s still there.
