“Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him”
Proverbs 30:5
Yesterday was cold and rainy…a true winter’s day! It would have been the perfect day to curl up with a cup of hot cocoa and a good book, but Tuesday was coming and a tablescape was on my agenda for the day! Tablescaping is fun and easy, but the photography proves to be difficult when there ain’t no sunshine! I hope you enjoy our casual wintry tablescape for six!
I have always liked fruit for a centerpiece…
…an ironstone tureen sitting on a wood slice holds red delicious apples!
Textural water hyacinth placemats ground the Spode dinner plate and bird
salad plate!
A pair of antler candle stands provide interest!
Repurposing a Christmas gift from Butch’s clients, I used the copper Moscow mule mugs to hold rosemary from the garden!

These cute place card holders were found new still in their original
Nate Berkus box at Goodwill!

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold
in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11

I think we’re in for another dreary day today, as well. I don’t mind those kind of days when I have nothing to do but curl up with a good book and pile of pillows. But, who has nothing to do? And, for taking pictures, it’s awful. I think you did very well with capturing your table in perfect lighting. Your bird plates are wonderful, Pam. It’s truly shocking what you run across at thrift stores sometimes. You scored big with those place card holders. Love those!
Kim, we have sunshine for the moment and it looks glorious! It rained so hard yesterday and until 9:00 last night, I thought monsoon weather had crossed the ocean into Alabama. If you have dreary this morning, I am sure it will be here by afternoon! Thanks so much sweet friend! I am behind on reading your posts, but will catch up today’
Simplicity of beauty. Loved it.????
Didn’t mean to have the question marks!! LOL!!
Aw, how sweet Jo Ann!
We didn’t get the rain until around 7 last night. Beautiful sunshine today. Pam, your pictures turned out well despite low light.
I love the straw mats and wooden slice with apples along with the lovely bird plates.
A timely post to use bird plates. Our little persistent house wren is already trying to build a nest in our garage again.
I appreciated your visit and sweet comments. Hope you have a wonderful week.
Bonnie, thanks so much! I love the bird plates and wanted to use them before spring! We have already had a wren build its nest on the column on our front porch. They are definitely persistent! Happy Wednesday!
We are enjoying almost spring like weather for a few days. Love the table setting, shows a lot of imagination. Lovely!
Thanks so much, Lea! Our weather is supposed to warm up over the next few days and be dry! Happy Wednesday!
I love how the blue glassware pulls the blue out from the plate stack Pam, and the bird plates are so unique! They look great with the natural wood slice, the chunky woven mats and the pretty red apples~ Enjoy the sunny weather this week!
Jenna
Jenna, thanks so much! Finally, today is sunny and beautiful!
You gave me an idea here. I never use fruit for centerpieces. I have a ton of cuties right now so I think tomorrow I might do a table setting with cuties.
Thanks for Sharing Your Cup!
Carol, hope you enjoy the “cuties” on your table! I have used them for a centerpiece several times!
Pam, I loved the antler candle holders. Great find on the place card holders. Aren’t thrift shops the best. You set a great table. Sylvia D.
Sylvia, thanks so much! Thrift shops hold many treasures! Happy Thursday!
Beautiful table. I love to have my table set and pretty, but we use it for homeschooling and so many other things that it isn’t practical for me to leave it that way.
Rashel, I remember homeschooling my now 30 year old son for a year of kindergarten. Such sweet memories at the kitchen table!
Stunning!! Not only your tablescape but the room ! Those walls are drop dead gorgeous!! I love deep rich colors!!
Hugs,
Deb
Beautiful tablescape!
I have the same goblets.
I can’t believe that you found those place card holders are Goodwill. The tablescape is just lovely.
It is such a joy to have you join the gathering at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. You really help to elevate it to something very special.
Laura, thanks so much and so enjoy the party! Happy Sunday!
So lovely!
Thanks so much, Libby! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
