“Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer”
Romans 12:12
Last week it was 95 degrees here in the Appalachian foothills, and I will admit…it’s pretty hard to decorate for autumn when the heat index still screams summer! But, regardless of what the thermometer says, the calendar tells me that my favorite time of year is here!
I am usually not one to be late to the party, but after seeing some beautiful autumn home tours all over blog land, I realized that I should probably pull out my seasonal decor and join you all! I put together a small vignette in the kitchen last week, and today would you join me in the foyer as I make my fashionably late entrance to the fall home decor party?!
I have a large collection of scarves and they often end up in vignettes rather than around my neck. I shopped my house and collected things that remind me of autumn. Feathers found their way into an hand-painted Italian pitcher…velvet pumpkins and fresh apples fill a tiered tray…antique leather books support a small squirrel box…rust pillar candles top a pair of tall candle stands.
The leopard print pumpkin is my favorite!
I am sure these apples will be baked into a pie with a dollop or two of ice cream.

The gold and silver tiered tray is a new find at Home Goods a few weeks ago…I like its rather elegant appearance.

Just beautiful!!
Thank you, Michelle! Wishing you a beautiful Monday!
Gorgeous Pam! I love your new tiered tray addition~ I admired it at HomeGoods too! It was in the 90s here last week and upper 80s this week and I am weary and wilted! So ready for fall and all she has to offer, including crisp cool weather 🙂
I agree, Mary about being wilted and weary. But we can certainly anticipate those crisp autumn days and enjoy when they finally arrive! Thank you for the visits and sweet comments!
It’s always nice to find a piece to inspire, and the height of your new branch stand does it, Pam. Very nice arrangement. I really like using things like scarves, too. Now you’ll be ready when it finally does cool down, and can at least talk yourself into the season while indoors with A/C on (here too!). Happy Fall!
Thanks so much, Rita! Hopefully autumn will come with lower temps! Have a beautiful week!
Absolutely beautiful Pam! Love the leopard pumpkin as well!
Thanks so much, now if we could just get cooler temps! Have a wonderful Monday!
It’s a wonderfully cool fall-ish morning here! Is it there, too? What a wonderful surprise after our recent heat – ten degrees higher than our southern seasonal norms. Ugh! Dare I hope fall is really here? We get teased way too often this time of year. I’ve been like you, Pam. I finally did ONE fall decoration over the weekend. One. I promise by Thursday, I’ll be in the mood and might possibly have more evidence of it around here. I love the sounds of fall while on my porch…ducks honking as they fly over in formation, the crisp air, and golden fields surrounding us. Those are just a few. I could list a thousand! Happy Monday, friend!
Kim, I only wish we had cooler temps for today! It is so odd that we don’t live that far apart and how different our weather can be. Our high today is supposed to be 90, which is better than 95! Have a wonderful day!
Beautiful Pam! I love Fall because in Wisconsin we can wear Jeans and Hoodies 🙂 Campfires are a big deal in Wisconsin (though they often happen during the summer here) we will be having them during the fall when we move to Alabama. 🙂 I love the smell of pumpkin and the fall colors.
Thanks, Debbie! Jeans and hoodies work well for Alabama and we are all about the pumpkins! Have a wonderful week!
Just gorgeous Pam! It’s perfectly Fallish! We are still so hot as well. I really want to get out and enjoy some cool temperatures, it feels like it is past time.
Thanks so much, Jan! Looking forward to those cooler temperatures!
Oh how so very beautiful Pam!!!…Love the gorgeous rich colors…and yes the leopard pumpkin is my fav too!….I look forward to the gorgeous leaves of Fall and the cooler temps! Hard to put pumpkins, etc on the porch when it is 90 degrees!
Thanks Shirley, yes it is supposed to be 90 degrees here today, I have been really slow getting into autumn decorating!
Pam, this is absolutely gorgeous! I love all of the color, layers, and textures. Absolutely stunning! I hope that you have a wonderful day!!!
Thanks Shannon…I am slowly trying to get into fall decorating…hard to do when it is supposed to be 90 degrees today!
Your tiered tray is stunning, but the little squirrel makes me smile!
Thanks Leslie Anne, wishing you a wonderful week!
Beautiful Pay. love the pretty pumpkins. i have some leopard ones too. The scarves along with the branch stand are lovely. Blessings
Thanks so much, Linda! Have a wonderful Tuesday!
Pam, this vignette is absolutely gorgeous! I love your new tray! The temps here are back in the triple digits. Just killed all of my fall mojo…lol!!
Thanks so much, Shenita! I agree, it is hard to think autumn when it is so hot!
So beautiful and picturesque !! And VERY excited your autumn vignettes have arrived.. I’ve been anxiously waiting! Love the tray and the beautiful rich colors in the scarf.. and the squirrel is adorable!!
Thank you sweet Jill, I still haven’t gotten very much finished! Wishing you a joy-filled week, my friend!
It’s in the 90’s here also so I am like you, slowly making the change. The entryway looks lovely.
Thanks so much, Debra, still in the 90’s here on the first day of autumn!
Your fall arrangement in your foyer is lovely. I really like the idea of using a scarf…I’ve got a couple that would be perfect for a fall arrangement.
Thanks so much, Karen for visiting!
Love your combo of colors and elements against that gorgeous gold mirror! I like using golds and soft greens this time of year too Pam, and the leopard pumpkin is fabulous!! I returned to Bham Monday, yikes it’s hot and dry here! Won’t you be traveling to Nantucket soon, I can’t wait to see fall from your travels 🙂
Jenna
Jenna, yes we are traveling to Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket…I will certainly share! So sorry I can’t make the blogger’s lunch, I know you all will have fun!

The tiered tray is gorgeous and perfect for this vignette! I love velvet pumpkins. I have three, but the leopard is so darn fun!! Love your cute squirrel. I made apple crisp last week with some apples given to me by a friend. It was so yummy! Thanks for sharing with SYC.

Jann
Oh how beautiful everything is. The scarf, velvet pumpkins, and especially the adorable squirrel
Thanks so much, Valerie! Happy Fall????
It was so hot here in NJ for the longest time but it finally cooled down. We slept with our windows open last night. The temps are quite chilly this morning – but I love it! Your foyer is beautiful with all the lovely fall colors and that mirror is gorgeous! Enjoy your week, Pam!
Shelley
Pam, I love that tiered stand! It’s so unique and you know I love your squirrel. 🙂
Thanks Kim, I also like squirrels!
