“Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly.”
Matthew 1:18-19
“It came upon the midnight clear, that glorious song of old,
From angels bending near the earth, to touch their harps of gold:
“Peace on the earth, goodwill to men, from heaven’s all-gracious King.”
The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing”
Edmund Sears
“But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.””
Matthew 1:20-21

My dear husband sings barbershop music with 2 different acapella groups. Crimson Pride from Tuscaloosa who did a Christmas show last weekend and this past weekend, the Birmingham chorus, Voices of the South performed at the Lyric Theater. Truly a gorgeous gold and white makeover that is stunning. Both shows were affordable and very family friendly!
Edith, those shows sound wonderful…I must get to the Lyric Theater!
