“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us”
2 Corinthians 4:7
Each season brings about it’s own beauty…even the bleak winter that we find ourselves in! Have you ever noticed the calm that the winter brings? It’s almost as if we are given an invitation to rest…those days when the temps are below freezing, beckoning us to stay inside. Last week we had a week of true winter weather, with even a hint of snow! After a couple of very cold and wintry days, this girl needed some color and a little excitement, so I brought out a plethora of patterns! Come on in where it’s warm, there is room for you!

The table runner is a piece of fabric from a client’s job many years ago. I love the black background with the vases of flowers
The peacock bowl holds moss balls that provide texture.
The teal stemware is from Tuesday Morning several years ago…I love mixing it with the Artesian Road dinnerware by Tracy Porter.
The small vases, that are also by Tracy Porter, hold spray roses.

What a great way to brighten your home on these winter days. Sure do like this table scape! Thinking I need to go through my fabric tub for some bright colors for runners. Have a good day.
Linda, thanks so much. Isn’t it amazing what we can find stashed away? Happy Tuesday!
It’s wonderful Pam, I LOVE the black fabric runner fabric, it really makes all the colors pop! Your fearless mix of patterns is fabulous, the Tracy Porter pieces, swoon…the roses, the bright colors, the stemware, the china LOVE it all! What time is the party?
Jenna
Jenna, thanks so much.. I do love to mix patterns. I have always followed Charles Faudree’s mantra…it is not about the match, but it is about the mix!
I love all the different patterns in your plate stack. Your entire table bursts with happy color
Thanks so much, Kim. Hope you have a great Tuesday!
This is beautiful! And inspirational! Your peacock bowl in the center gave me a great idea for my upcoming Cork Poppers dinner — I have a wonderful soup tureen I could see as a quite dramatic centerpiece when filled with flowers. Definitely a possibility!
Jeanie, thanks so much! Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!
I love the plethora of colors and pattern..so beautiful on a wintery day! I am a fan of Tracy Porter anything!!
Thanks so much, Shirley…warming up into the 50’s today!
Explosión de colores que hace contrapunto con la ausencia de color que nos proporciona el paisaje cuando ha nevado.
Muy bello todo, cada detalle, cada pieza…
Buen trabajo, Pam.

Explosion of colors that makes counterpoint with the absence of color that gives us the landscape when it has snowed.
Very beautiful everything, every detail, every piece …

You know there is no such thing as too much color and texture for me so, of course, I like this table with all its interesting pieces very much.
Linda, I think we agree on color and texture!
A lovely array of patterns and colors
Thanks so much, Carol!
I’m all for color and this is fantastic! Love the Tracy Porter dishes and your inspiration fabric runner. Since I am surrounded with white everywhere up here I love to see color- it definitely perks me up!

Pam, this is such a beautiful tablescape! You have done such a wonderful job mixing colors, patterns, and texture to create an elegant and inviting table. Absolutely stunning! I hope that you have a happy Monday!!!
Shannon, I love mixing it up…have a wonderful week!
I do love white/neutral homes, but I really LOVE when someone lets colors just rip. And in a dining room—what a great way to welcome guests, put bows on your home and experiment. The turquoise against the red is exciting and with all the bohemian tones here, you just know the dinner party will be a success. Thanks for the great post! Sandi
Thanks Sandi…I did throw caution to the wind and let the color explode!!!
What a wonderful burst of color! A perfect tablescape for winter blahs. Thank you so much for sharing at Celebrate Your Story!
