“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Psalms 27:14
Hello sweet friends, I hope you’re all having a wonderful day! It’s Tuesday and you know what that means here at Everyday Living…a tablescape! Today, you’ll be seeing something that’s not new to my house, but they’ve never made their appearance on a Tablescape Tuesday…until now! I think we grow accustomed to the things in our home…pictures, books and “knick-knacks” that have their little spot. We don’t really pay much attention to them because they’re just in their normal spot! Do you ever have a moment when you look at something and think “wow, how have I missed this?” Last week I was contemplating what I would bring to the table today (no pun intended!), and how I could make it look a little different. As I was walking through my family room as I do numerous times a day, I happened to notice plates that have been on the wall forever…and it hit me…I had never used them in a tablesetting! I was so excited, you would’ve thought I had discovered something new. So, off the wall they came, and onto the table they went…after a good sudsy wash of course! It never occurred to me until now to use these beautiful plates, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!
*
I think of this setting as a little casual…a little elegant!
Floral placemats add pattern to a table set for four.
Rattan chargers add texture and a casual feel to the table.
Ranunculus and Chinese snowball lime-green buds fill three ice cream sundae glasses and serve as the centerpiece.
I added a pair of crystal candle stands to complete the centerpiece.
The pretty pink and green salad plates were the inspiration.
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
The multiple layers of the delicate and crepe paper thin petals of the ranunculus are so beautiful.
In case you haven’t noticed, I seem to be loving pink and green for spring-time!
What about you…are there things in your home that you see on a day to day basis, that you never think to use in a different way?

This is my favorite of all your table settings. From the table with only the candle sticks and flower arrangements, love, to the pink and green salad plates. Where did you find the salad plates? They are lovely.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, thanks so very much, I found these at a local shop at least fifteen years ago. The shop is now closed…I have never seen these anywhere else!

Beautiful, Pam. Interesting that I used Tara’s Waterford Iced Tea glasses this past weekend as vases to hold roses for her dining room table decorated for Mary Grace’s party. I used silver cups for roses on her kitchen island which served as her buffet table. Both settings were beautiful.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I saw the beautiful arrangements for Mary Grace!

Lovely! You always have beautiful tables.
I like to use different things as well for my table. A garden/outside statue for spring, a birdcage for a butterfly/aviary theme, a wooden toy boat for a nautical/beach theme. I’ve got some decorative fishing net I’m going to drape down the center of the table, along with a fishing creel, and my trout napkin rings, to create a fishing table for Dh!
Imagination is the limit, I say!

Glad you “found” your camellia plates. Each one looks like it has a different camellia. The gilding is stunning. I am crazy for ranunculus and the chinese snowball buds look great with them in the ice cream sundae glasses.

It’s so very elegant. I don’t see how you do it, week after week! The colors are wonderful — I love the pink with the green. Call me a preppie but it’s a favorite combo especially for spring. Just splendid!

The pink flower is my favorite, because I LOVE pink, but the pop of vivid green caught my eye as well. I just bought a bouquet of small green mums from Publix, and they are so fresh looking and spring-y. I love this table and wish I had every single dish, flower and candle! So happy looking!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Leslie Anne, how sweet!

Pretty plates from your walls to your table Pam! I’m wild about the pretty pink Ranunculus and the Chinese snowball buds paired together. I’m afraid our snowball bush was zapped by our late cold snap just as I was prepared for a bumper crop of blooms this year.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, I am unsure whether my snowball bushes will bloom like they did last year or not. We have had two nights this week in the twenties and one in the teens. The frost definitely got my Lady Banks Roses. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Pam,
Your tablescape is beautiful. The crystal glasses holding wee floral arrangements is elegant charm and the pretty green and pink patterned dishes are striking against the deep wood tones. Everything is gorgeous! I do the same thing as you by overlooking things that could be used in a variety of ways. It’s probably because we are so used to seeing the inside of our own walls and in a way become blind to our own decor. I love having a second set of eyes or my mom around to catch things I’ve overlooked. We both do the same thing to each other. Ha ha.
