“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
Romans 8:37
Last Saturday evening, we had our long-time friends over for dinner…and if you know me, you know that I wanted to treat them alfresco style! But unfortunately, as soon as I set the table, the clouds started rolling in. So we took it to the dining room to enjoy an evening of good food and many laughs! Although I was a little disapppointed not to be on the patio, there is one good thing about it: we didn’t have to fight the pesky mosquitoes or the summer heat in the dining room!
But before we take a look at today’s tablescape, I wanted to remind you all about our Gardens Galore Link up!
Next Monday, June 12, come back around 8am (central time) to party with us in the garden! You can link your personal garden, a garden you’ve visited, pretty flowers you’ve photographed, potted flowers around your home, your vegetable garden…anything that has to do with gardening! It can be a recent post or a post from years ago…there really are no rules! The only rule is that you have fun! I will be sharing some of them on Facebook, Instagram, and on my blog! Can’t wait to see all of the beautiful posts you share!
Now, on to the patio…and our box o’ hydrangeas!
*
I discovered a tablecloth I hadn’t used in a long time…a pale blue and white paisley!
Hydrangeas are blooming at my house, so naturally they became the centerpiece!
I used a wooden box for the hydrangeas, chaste tree blooms, and sprigs of gold mound spirea.
Rattan chargers add texture to white dinner plates and spring salad plates that were first seen here. Hand-crafted wooden napkin rings hold yellow and pink napkins that were paired.
*
Hobnail-style tumblers and aqua stemware held iced tea and water. Iced tea is a definite for summer in the south!
*
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
I so appreciate your visits and the comments that you share!

Pretty arrangement of hydrangeas in the neat wooden box and with your lovely garden in the background it is like a magazine picture. I love your plates with butterflies, birds, flowers and rabbits and they go so well with the hob nob and pale blue glasses.
Sorry, you had to move your table inside but it sounds like you had a lovely evening with old friends.
I hope to link up Tuesday. I will be at St.George Island so hopefully no internet issues will arise.
