“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery”
Galatians 5:1
Hello sweet friends! It’s time to fire up the grill and get ready for some homemade ice cream! July 4th will be here in just a week! For the first time in ten years, I am not hosting this year. We will be making the drive over to Birmingham…my nephew and his wife will be having us at their beautiful home. But you know me, I can’t let any holiday slip by without a tablescape…join us for a Star Spangled Evening in the garden!
A table for four in the garden was quick and easy! Sunday was supposed to be sunny, but instead there were lots of dark clouds surrounding our patriotic table, but at least no rain!
Fun straw placemats with our everyday white plates. Notice no dish stack…I was serious about quick and easy for a very good reason!
I layered a vintage nautical table cloth, from my sweet friend Patti, over a round blue and white cloth.
My Renaissance Man wanted to make sure I let you all know he cut the hydrangeas and carefully arranged them, which he often does. All kidding aside, my sweet hubby can do anything from arranging flowers to hunting wildlife in the Rockies!
Our sweet granddaughter was very serious about waving the flag! Now you know why I needed a quick and easy tablescape.
I love using my very favorite stemware that I ordered from Horchow many years ago…unfortunately, it is no longer available.
Star napkin rings hold Kate Spade napkins!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
I’d love to hear from you…how will you be celebrating the 4th?

Beautiful red white & blue setting! Your garden simply looks gorgeous! ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much, my friend! Happy Tuesday!
Beautiful from me also! Butch’s flower arrangement is a winner. Do I see a bottle in the middle? Your garden couldn’t be more lovely.
Thanks so much Alice. Yes that is a red bottle in the middle! I so appreciate your comments, Alice and your faithful following of the blog! Happy Tuesday!
Beautiful table in your beautiful garden! Happy summer days!
Happy summer days to you, Sandra!
Look at that sweet girl waving the flag . How stinking cute ? Sweet tablescape but I’m a sucker for anything red, white and blue . Hugs and blessings , Cindy
Thanks Cindy, have a joy-filled Tuesday!
I always enjoy seeing your vintage nautical table cloth. It looks wonderful over the blue and white round cloth! My table cloths are similar, and that post will be published tomorrow. I promise, I didn’t copy you. 😉 I set the table last week when we had company coming, and I miss it since I cleared everything away after they went home. Yikes, I need to set another table for visitors this week! It’s summer, so company visits come in back-to-back waves. I love your Kate Spade napkins, and the white star rings are so striking against the navy. I love seeing Ella Mae. She is so serious! Happy Tuesday!
It is so funny how we often think alike! I am enjoying our cooler temps and lower humidity! Have a beauty-filled Tuesday!
Your table looks beautiful with all those vibrant colors! And that granddaughter of yours – what a cutie! Have a great week!

Tell Butch he did a fine job with the centerpiece, and Ella Mae takes her job most seriously, you can tell! Nice table. I will be hosting the 4th, but am feeling less than inspired to pull out all the stops. We’ll see….
I understand, sometimes we are just tired and it is hard to pull out all the stops! Take it easy and just enjoy!
Oh Pam, it’s so festive that I can practically hear a soundtrack! I love everything about it but especially the blue hydrangeas and your sweet flag bearer. Someone will be just delighted to enjoy festivities at your table!

Pam, Ella Mae is just precious! Your red, white, and blue table is just gorgeous! I’m sorry I’m late commenting. I’ve been a little under the weather this week, but I’m on the mend. I hope you and your family have a very Happy Fourth of July!

A perfect Star-Spangled table Pam! I love seeing the limelight hydrangeas and maiden grass waving in the background along with your sweet granddaughter waving the flag 🙂
Thanks Mary, we are enjoying lower humidity and temps right now. I know it won’t last long!
Simple and fun….that’s my kind of table! We have a busy few days surrounding the 4th so I’m not likely to do anything red, white and blue. I’ll have to enjoy others’ creativity. Your little sweetie just gets cuter.
Happy 4th and thanks Linda!
Your garden setting always takes my breath away Pam, it is gorgeous! Such a lovely red white and blue table, I’m crazy about those beaded mats and the star napkin ring with the navy KS napkin! Ella Mae is a living doll!
