“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever”
Isaiah 40:8
Welcome to our Gardens Galore link party! I have so enjoyed all the beauty that you all are sharing! It is extremely hard to choose features when every link is feature worthy! Be sure to read all the way to the bottom to see how to enter the Giveaway!
Last week I shared My Happy Place • The Summer Garden
Now on to “picks” from our last party!
Janet from Rosemary & Thyme creates some of the most gorgeous tablescapes in blog land, and this one is no exception…look how stunning!
I have been to France several times and have yet to visit Monet’s Giverny…how has that happened??? But thanks to Jeanie at The Marmelade Gypsy‘s fabulous photos, we can enjoy the beauty without leaving our chair!
Speaking of chairs…
…Musings of a Vintage Junkie shared a photo diary of her July Garden…and you talk about creativity! AnnMarie’s use of chairs is fun and whimsical!
I was totally smitten by Sandra’s shot of her 20 + year old spider lily. Be sure to check what’s blooming at Dinner at Eight!
And now I get to share with you such a fun little treat! Last Friday, I had one of the sweetest surprises I’ve ever had here in the blog world. The extremely talented Jenna @ The Painted Apron featured a painting of one of my gardening pictures on her Fearless Friday, Pam’s Hydrangeas post.
And it’s available for sale in her store! (Trust me you want to check out everything she sells!) The painting she did of my limelight hydrangeas is available on 11 items to purchase…iPhone cases, stationery, throw pillows, prints, clocks, and more! I will be purchasing several of these items for myself, but it was a hard decision to pick what to offer for the giveaway, but I decided on this adorable tote bag!
So, how do I enter the giveaway? I’m so glad you asked. I will be posting a different question at the end of each of my posts this week and when you comment and answer, you are entered to win! So you have 3 opportunities to snag this oh-so-cute tote bag! We will do a random drawing of all of the entries and the winner will be announced on Tuesday August 1. So let’s get to it!
In the spirit of all things gardening, today’s question is…
What is your favorite flower?

I love this party. I’ve been so excited to get my blog up and running and join it! Thank for hosting, Pam. My favorite flower… now that’s a tough one because I have so many favorites. But if I have to pick just one, I’ll say oriental lilies.
Rita C. (Panoply) says
Good mornimg, Pam. Another great installment with your garden party. It’s been such a good growing season (not all are), so I’m happy to be able to join my friends here at your party. Thank you for hosting us.
My favorite flower? Hmmm, must choose the heirloom purple iris (this year’s choice anyway).
🙂

Well, I guess it is no surprise hydrangeas are my favorite flower. I love all the varieties and colors.
Thanks for the Garden Party, Pam. It is so much fun. Can’t wait to read all the links.
Love your giveaway! Jenna, outdid herself. That is exciting!

Pam, Jenna’s painting of your hydrangeas is swoon-worthy! My favorite flower seem to change with the season but I’ve never met a hydrangea I didn’t love. Summer’s favorite flower for me is a limelight hydrangea. My favorite flower for spring is the peony! I purchased one of Jenna’s totes from her Society6 shop and it’s a fun way to enjoy the blooms 🙂
Liz@Home and Gardening With Liz says
Wow what a nice giveaway! What is my favorite flower- that’s a tough one since I like so many but I really love hydrangeas so I’m going to go with that! Thank you again for hosting this link party!
Kim says
How fun, Pam! I can’t even name a favorite. I love so many flowers, especially the favorites of my mother and grandmothers – the daisy, the iris, and yellow roses. They are very special to me because of treasured memories! I do love hydrangeas, so if I have to pick one, I guess that one is closest to tops on my list. How sweet of Jenna to paint your hydrangeas. Love the fence in the picture, too. How fun to have a reminder of two favorite bloggers in one! Also, thank you for hosting this fun garden link party. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you, Kim! I love all the inspiration that has been shared!

Thank you for all the kind words and the links — I know your party is quickly becoming everyone’s favorite! As for my favorite flower, that is a tough one, I LOVE flowers, but roses are my favorites, with hydrangeas a very close second…your features this week are fabulous, just love that tablescape and the chair! Have a wonderful week, and good luck to all the entrants!

Pam, my favorite flower is the gardenia.
Sandra @ Maison De Jardin says
Good Morning, Pam: Thanks for hosting this lovely party and I finally figured out about linking up. So much to learn as a new blogger.
My favorite flower would have to be peonies. I am completely in love with this fabulous plant and have been since I was a young girl. I know they don’t last long in bloom, but my goodness they are worth the wait. I am like a kid at Christmas every year when they arrive. Honestly, even after growing them for almost 40 years, I remain in awe of their magnificent beauty. Also, they are a hardy and tough plant, with a life expectancy of 80 plus years.
Have a beautiful week and many thanks for all you do. You add much to many days !
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sandra, I am so glad you were able to link-up your lovely post. Peonies are worth the wait!

I’ve so enjoyed this garden series. Thank you for hosting us! This week’s features are fabulous. The spider lily is amazing, the table setting has me inspired to set another alfresco table soon, and the give away is sheer delight. I admire Jenna’s talent, and love hydrangeas. I wish we could grow them here, but the heat is just too much for most varieties. My favorite flower? That’s a really difficult question, Pam. I love so many depending on the season. Tulips, hydrangeas, and of course hyacinths are at the top. Yellow roses were always a favorite between my mom and me after we lost my dad. It was our secret message of sending sunshine to each other to brighten the day when one of us felt sad.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sarah, thanks for sharing that sweet memory of yellow roses. I am loving the garden series!
Gentle Joy Homemaker says
I love your wonderful garden party.. and look forward to it each time…. thank you for hosting this and showing your lovely garden pictures as well. HOW does one choose a favorite flower? Hmmm…. very very difficult choice… there are roses, of course, and lilies… hydrangeas, phlox, morning glories, and oh, so many. I think I would have to say that my favorite, though, is probably the Blue Lobelia. Surprising, isn’t it? The little flower doesn’t have the impact of other flowers… but I just love that wonderful blue color and how it complements the other colors in my garden and it is one of the first I plant each year. 🙂
Pat says
Pam, thanks for all your inspiration. My favorite flower is the red spider lily that come up in the fall. Pat
Brenda Gunnells says

Sandra @ Dinner at Eight says
Pam, thanks so much for featuring my garden this week! It’s an honor to be included with such a fantastic group of gardeners. I look forward to each of your parties to see how differently we approach our gardens. While overall design is important, I admit it’s the flowers that draw me in! So how do I choose my favorite one? I’m always partial to the one that happens to be blooming today! Though an iris will always make me linger longer.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Sandra, it was a pleasure to feature your garden!
