“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.””
Psalms 91:1-2
“For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.”
Psalms 91:3-4
Seeing beauty everywhere requires simply paying attention…a country gate and a rock wall!
Our pastures were cut this week and baled…
…I see beauty in a round bale of hay…
…and the smell of freshly mown hay is a simple country pleasure!
Beautiful sisters, Sarah Grace and Ann Charlotte now have a forever family. It is a story of God’s amazing grace in the life of a couple in our faith family. Please watch the video at the end that our son made of this couple and their two precious girls sharing their story with our pastor!
I would love to know the families that might have lived here and their stories of life in another time!
Hanger steak with panzanella for a delicious meal in our favorite Italian restaurant!
Hay bales in our front pasture with the Appalachian Foothills in view. I grew up in the city, but 44 years of country living has made me a country girl!
St. Joseph’s On the Mountain, a wooden church in Mentone, AL that surrounds this old log home that was built in 1870!
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
Psalm 122:1

Oh Pam, what a wonderful way to start my Sunday morning! Dryin the tears that God counts now. Now let me say the old abandoned house is a beauty with the large windows that almost come down to the floor and a balcony. It’s in need of some pretty and it would be a knock out.

Alice, there was a private property sign. It could be restored with money and patience!

Beautiful post. My heart is warmed viewing the video of how God gave this couple two beautiful daughters. I relate as one of my granddaughters was adopted from the Ukraine. She has been in our family for nine years now and is a joy to us.
I love to see a field of baled hay. What a lovely view and a picture of the harvest God provided.
Yummy looking hanger steak.
Maybe someone knows something about the abandoned house.
Have a great week, Pam.

What an awesome story! What a blessing this family is to your church, I’m sure. God is so faithful, and they are testimony to His grace. Looks like you had a wonderful hay crop. I love the look of hay bales scattered over a field. Pam, once again, your post is filled with God’s blessings and His awesome word! I hope you have a great week!

Thank you my friend. The adoption story warms my heart over and over again!

I’m so glad this family was able to bring these two girls into their home! Definitely a gift from God! <3 Beauty is everywhere and we just need to be quiet enough to sense and see it. Last summer I was happily shooting photos of farms, silos and hay bales throughout our midwest travels. I even have a photo of an 18 wheeler with 16 or 18 rolled bales on it! The driver was standing outside of his rig and the perspective was awesome! Rolled bales are beautiful. 🙂
Have a lovely week,
Barb 🙂

Estoy en Granada, tierra plena de historia de cristianos y moros, donde quedaron los mas bellos monumentos como es La Alhambra, palacio construido durante la dominaci’on mora.

I am so sad that I can’t get the speakers to work on my computer. Why does that happen at the worst of times? Anyway, I did enjoy your pictures, and I wrote down hangar steak with panzanella on my menu list. Have a blessed week Pam.
