“Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name;
make known his deeds among the peoples!”
Psalms 105:1
Hello sweet friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a couple weeks away? Our menu has been planned and I will begin some grocery shopping this weekend. We will be hosting 11 adults and 5 children, so it should be lively and fun. I love the traditional colors of Thanksgiving, but why not pull out the blue and white dishes and add a touch of pumpkin… it works beautifully!
The morning sun casts pretty light and shadows on the dining room table!
I love the pale color of this pumpkin nestled in a cotton boll wreath.
Pumpkin-colored chargers hold Spode “Blue Room Collection” dinner plates.
A burlap table runner provides much needed texture!

Horchow stemware is a favorite!
Flanking the pumpkin are copper mules filled with sprigs of nandina and loropetalum cut from the garden. I scattered ginkgo leaves and pine cones on the runner.

“A word fitly spoken
is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
As always, thank you for your sweet visits and comments! Are you making preparations for Thanksgiving?

Just beautiful Pam! I love your blue and white Thanksgiving. Your fairytail pumpkin and cotton boll wreath makes a perfect centerpiece flanked by your copper mules with your garden foliage. It sounds like your Thanksgiving table(s) will be overflowing with food, family and fun.♥
Thank you Mary…it is fun making memories with and for my family!
I love feeling not guilty about pulling things from the garden for tablescaping, and fall is the perfect time. This is gorgeous, Pam. We don’t grow cotton this far north, but I love celebrating its harvest too. That Horchow stemware of yours is favorite of mine too. Our Thanksgiving is going to be quite different this year (long story), we have learned. It’s not a holiday I’ve hosted but once, and plans right now are still up in the air. Yours sounds perfect.
Thank you Rita. Hosting is a lot of work but I enjoy making memories for my family! Sounds like Thanksgiving could be interesting for you!
Pam, this table is simply gorgeous! The Spode and Horchow is really over the top. Everything….the centerpiece with the cotton boll wreath is perfectly beautiful. We have a friend from Mississippi who has a cotton boll wreath on their door. She is 90 and she and Bob love to talk about picking cotton. The blue and white just soothes my soul and this is one of the most elegant settings I have ever seen. Started my day out perfect.
Dianne, again thank you for your precious and encouraging words! I enjoy the challenge of using what I have! Blessings~
Your dining room is beautiful Pam. Don’t know if I would know what I was eating at that table. Blessed you are especially because of the love that will be around that Table on Thanksgiving day. I’m excited to be in North Carolina this Thanksgiving with family I don’t get to love on very often. God is so good to allow us to travel safely to our destinations. May your family travel safely to your table.
I am so glad you all are spending Thanksgiving in NC with family! Travel blessings, Alice!
Lovely tablesetting. Thanks for sharing.
It is always a pleasure to share, thanks for commenting!
Pam: Your table is simply beautiful. I always use our Spode at Thanksgiving, our pattern is Tower Blue. I can’t tell you why, but it just seems to suit a Thanksgiving table. Your stemware is stunning with your Spode.
Love the ginkgo leaves and of course the cotton. Both hold dear memories for me.
It is so wonderful that you will have so many loved ones at your table. Blessings to all.
Sandra, thank you! It is a lot of work to prepare the meal, but so special to make memories for our family!
I’m all for twists on tradition, and this totally works! The cotton boll wreath is a nice touch, too!
Thanks so much, Alycia! I love using what is on hand!
Pam, I love your pumpkin nestled in the cotton boll wreath on a burlap runner for your centerpiece. Those pumpkin chargers are lovely holding your Blue Room Spode Collection plates. I have a few plates in this collection and I should see how many I have. They are in a cabinet. I’ve always loved your Horchow glasses. They give pazazz to every table.
Yes, I’m making Thanksgiving plans eagerly awaiting my family for a week. Now, that the kids are bigger I have to go shopping for a blow up mattress. I will have ten to sleep.
Blessings to you.
Bonnie, thank you! Sleeping 10 should be exciting and I know you will enjoy every minute!
I love the idea to use together your beautiful cotton wreath and the pumpkin. Blu and copper are very chic and all the arrangement is outstanding. Brava!!! (in Italian we say brava not bravo ?)
Thanks so much…Cotton is abundant in our south!
I loved how you used the cotton around the pumpkin. I tried to get more of those this season at Southern Exposure — the only handy place around here that has them — and they were out! Maybe this Saturday! Your table is gorgeous.
Jeanie, thank you and hopefully you can find cotton!
Pam, this table is so pretty with the blue and white theme. The pumpkin nesteled in the cotton wreath with the elements from nature scattered about make such a beautiful centerpiece. I love your Horchow stemware. It looks perfect with the pretty blue and white plates. I hope you enjoy your day!
Thanks so much Shannon…Happy Tuesday!
Pam,
Your tablescape is lovely! Thank you for sharing. God bless you and yours, and may you all have a wonderful gathering at Thanksgiving.
Marcie
Marcie, thank you so much! God bless you and yours!
So beautiful and so elegant.
Thank you so much, Marty!
Just beautiful & inspiring.
Thanksgiving at my son’s house this year, so I have a break from the hustle & bustle!
But I am enjoying your beautiful settings!
???
Esther, good for you! Enjoy the rest from the hustle and bustle!
You had me at pumpkin and cotton bolls Pam, and paired with your gorgeous blue and white things it is all so stunning. The Cinderella pumpkin in the wreath of cotton under your chandy almost looks like the cotton bolls become the beads in your chandelier…like a reflection…okay, remember I’m a kooky artist and tend to see things differently, but to me the effect is really cool!! I guess we are finally getting cool weather tomorrow! It is rainy leaves in my yard today ?
Jenna
Jenna, your artistic eye notices things that my ordinary eyes wouldn’t see. But, now I see what you are talking about! It has rained leaves here for the past couple of days.
I like the idea of blue for Thanksgiving. It looks so lovely. Thank You for sharing.
Marion
Thank you Marion!
What a gorgeous table setting. Those Spode dinner plates are beautiful. Everything is so elegant.
Marilyn
Thanks so much Marilyn!
This blue willow pattern for an autumnal setting is so very unexpected. You have inspired me to pull out my blue and white china. Thank you so much for the fresh ideas.
YES, YES, YES! I love the blue and white Thanksgiving Pam! I am a fan of blue and white dishes and have to refrain myself from buying more. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy and hugs and blessings to you!
Your table is beautiful, and the blue and white dinnerware works really well!
Thank you Cherryl!
I love that you always know the scientific/official names of the plants. I always refer to it as, ‘those red things” or “that fluffy thing.” Smart, Informative, Decorative. you rock.
Leslie Anne, you are the one that rocks!
How wonderful!Gorgeous tablescape!Love your exquisite plates!Happy Thanksgiving Day for you all!
Thank you Maristella. I always love your visits!
Oh Pam, I love this table, it’s gorgeous!
The blue and white china, the centerpiece… all of it. I’d love to acquire the little pumpkin napkin rings, adorable.
I already had an early Thanksgiving because our daughters were both home with their families and the rest. It’s not like I have them both together ever!
Happy Thanksgiving.
Fabby
Thank you dear Fabby! The little pumpkin napkin rings were a gift! I️ visited your lovely post about your early Thanksgiving!
Lovely tablescape. I particularly like your blue goblets.
Thanks so much for visiting!
Gorgeous table, Pam!! I love how you used the pumpkin colored chargers to set off your beautiful blue & white dinnerware. Your goblets are stunning. You win for the best pumpkin of the season!! It deserves a crown of cotton around it! Enjoy your houseful of guests!! How wonderful.
This is beautiful Pam! I especially love the pumpkin inside of the cotton ball wreath. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Thank you so much Jann!
Love your table and how you talk about hosting. It’s coming across like a small job that brings huge memories. (in the comments too) I love that.
Thank you Christine, the memories make the work easier!
What a pretty table to gather round. Blue for fall seems to be very popular this year and I am in love with the stemware. I hope your Thanksgiving is peaceful and filled with joy. Thanks for linking up with us this week at Celebrate Your Story.
Wishing you a beautiful Thanksgiving, Sandra!
