“All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men…
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
John 1:3-5
This steel band is all that remains of an old wagon wheel. It’s probably seen a lot of snow days!
A neat view from underneath a weighted pine!
Our garden doesn’t have this look very often, and never this early in December!
What is this white stuff getting on my boots?
The oak leaf hydrangeas were still hanging on and added a bit of color to a white landscape !
A wet snow really sticks and can cause damage but makes for nice pics…and good snow cream!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The coral bark maple was interesting with its contrasting color and architecture!
Kip probably did not anticipate such a neat and unusual look when he lit up this Christmas tree…not in Georgia!
Katy captured a lovely display of Christmas colors and the snow sets it off!
O’ the first snowfall of the winter…except it’s still officially autumn!
Simple + Southern Sunday was started to share with you the beauty in our everyday living…whether it be a sunset, delicious food, or an old church on the side of the road. If we only stop and pay attention, we can see how God has uniquely designed His creation to glorify Himself and to point us to Him. His word and truth is the foundation of our lives, and it’s also the foundation of our blog. We want to share with you the above graphic. You will see the beauty of the snow that fell here In Northeast Alabama on Friday and one of His many promises: forgiveness of our sins. Feel free to save this as wallpaper for your computer, tablet, or phone. You can even share it on social media. For a printable version click here. We hope you enjoy!

It’s always a pleasure to view snow…..somewhere else! Your photos are fun and full of the wonderment that comes with the first snow. Ella Mae is captivated, it seems. 🙂

Rita, when snow is predicted here, it rarely even happens! I loved the day playing Christmas carol and baking!

Gorgeous photos, Pam! I am a snow girl, so I love each and every one. I rather imagine your Camellias were not thrilled with the snow. I had red Camellias when we lived in VA, they are so beautiful.
As always, I loved Miss Ella – she really is the star of every show. Enjoying this post, as I look out my window to a slight dusting of snow.
