“Let all that you do be done in love.”
1 Corinthians 16:14
Hello lovely friends and Happy Thursday! Each year as I pack up all of my Christmas decor, everything seems a little dull…we go from twinkling lights and loads of color to bare trees and gloomy days! This year I decided not to stay in those gloomy days for too long…I am already looking ahead to Valentine’s Day! You may have already seen hearts and candies start to surface in your local stores! I thought that since February 14th is a little over a month away, that we would just dive right in today! Let’s take a dip back into the archives today to look at a little Red, White and Sweet Candlelight!
Black Tie And Red Roses is a setting for Valentine’s or anytime.
Valentine’s Day is the perfect opportunity to extend an invitation to friends. Candlelight and roses make your guests feel special!

Who doesn’t like red velvet cake? Red velvet French toast with vanilla bean creamy cheesecake filling would be perfect to serve a groups of ladies!
Since Butch and I are very sentimental, My Hearts Of Love table, for just the two of us, was very special!
I have kept lots of the cards that we have given each other through the years. I brought out quite a few to decorate the table. After dinner we read them together…a sweet time!
Valentine’s Day can be a time of reaching out to someone that is single or a couple that might be going through difficulties…a time to show how to Love One Another!
What better way to spend Valentine’s Day with your sweetheart than a little History, Mystery, & A Romantic Resort!
This romantic resort was only an hour and a half drive from our home! They offered excellent cuisine, a relaxing spa, natural surroundings and the added attractions of history and mystery.
Romance & Roses…a fireside table for two laden with roses and sweets!
Thank you for visiting my friends. I hope you are inspired to celebrate your sweetheart, your family, and friends on February 14! Have you made your plans? I would love to know how you celebrate!

What a visual feast for the eye on this dreary morning! The napkins tied with black ribbon would be perfect for an Oscars party. This past year, just on the spur of the moment, I sat down and wrote my husband of 45 years a Christmas letter. I thanked him for all he had done for me over the past year (especially this year with my bad accident, it was definitely a “for better or for worse”). He told me it was the best Christmas gift he’d ever received and it made my 6’3 love cry. Sometimes the simplest gestures from the heart are the most romantic.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, thank you for sharing your sweet story! I know he was such a help over the past year with your accident. How are you doing now?

I loved seeing all of the Valentine treats this morning…such gorgeous tables and delicious sweets! The red velvet French toast looks scrumptious! The perfect thing to brighten a gloomy winter morning. We finally got to the 50s yesterday, but we are supposed to drop below freezing by noon with some possible sleet. I am so ready for spring! I hope you enjoy your day, sweet friend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Shannon! Wishing you a wonderful week!

I found your blog only last fall but have enjoyed reading it. I keep wondering where you find space to store all the wonderful variety of things you use on your tables. You must have a very big dish pantry!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Janie, thank you so much. I have a nice size kitchen with lots of cabinets. But, I do store seasonal dishware in Rubbermaid boxes and stow under guest room beds?

With its red walls your dining room is the perfect setting for a Valentine’s celebration. That’s probably a very good thing considering that restaurants are wild and crazy on that night.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Linda!

Thanks Pam…great inspirations. I, too keep all the cards we send to each other and I call it my box of Heart Aches because my heart aches with love and memories each time I open it and see the cards from many years past. Wonderful idea to read them again on Valentine’s day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Kari, I am glad to know someone else keeps all the cards!

What a beautiful collection of Valentine’s table settings. Each one is wonderful. I have been keeping cards too but I wish I had started back when we were first married. Cheers to sentimental Valentine’s Days!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, we are sentimental. It is fun to go back and read cards from so many years ago!
