“With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments!”
Psalms 119:10
Happy Tuesday dear friends…and I am sure some of you are scratching your head, wondering what on earth a fruit rapture is! It’s not what it sounds like, but we will get to that in a minute. We had a beautiful weekend after single digit temperatures and a negative wind chill last week. You know you live in Alabama when you can go from 9 degrees to 70 in the span of 4 days! With sunshine and warmer temps, I was ready to set the table with my everyday china for Saturday brunch…which brings me to the explanation of the title…it’s the name of the china you will be seeing today! Pull out a chair and join me for Fruit Rapture!
*
Pulling out everyday dishes and placemats make for an easy tablesetting!
The “fruit rapture” pattern by Mikasa has graced our tables for the last fifteen years. It has served up more meals than I could possibly count!
The Noritake stemware is used often.
Do you like French-pressed coffee? It is so easy and I love the rich and robust flavor!
A centerpiece of fruit is simple, but always perfect!
Butch gave me this sweet honey pot for Christmas…I love it!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
Thank you for your sweet visits and comments. Be sure to come back tomorrow for the final chapter of our story we have been sharing.

Pam, even everyday service can be elevated when a pretty table is set such as you’ve done. What a great honey pot Butch gifted you! I have the same placemats, purchased from an estate sale. The blue & yellow hen motif is what attracted me, with a somewhat preppy farmhouse vibe (is there such a thing, lol?). I’ve never had French pressed coffee, need to try in a restaurant sometime to see if I like it.
Rita, order French-press in a restaurant. I think you will like it!
A honey pot for his honey? French Press coffee is the only coffee that I love. It is so fresh and delicious especially when you grind your own beans. Now what are you serving to go with it? Would love to be sitting at your table to participate.
Alice, grinding your own beans is definitely the key! Have a wonderful day!
“Fruit Rapture” is so pretty !
I enjoy a cup of French pressed coffee – gifted my daughter a press several years ago .
How is kept hot at the table ?
Do you keep it on some type of hot plate ?
You may have me shopping once again … fruit
china and a French press !
You inspire endlessly . And I love it !
Christine, you are so sweet! I don’t use a hot plate! I always make sure my pot is very hot before I begin. That keeps the coffee hot longer.
I love everyday china set on a beautiful table and this one is so warm and personal and inviting! Fresh fruit is always makes for such a lovely centerpiece — colorful, sometimes even fragrant. Lovely as always!
Thank you dear Jeanie!
I crave color at this time of year so this really captures my mind. I love the placemats- the color of blue and white is so cheerful. Beautiful dishes and stemware- and the bowl of fruit is the perfect companion!
Thank you Liz. I always love color, especially this time of year,
Inviting table today. I like your fruit rapture pattern and remember you using it in an alfresco bloghop with fruit but totally different. You have a great talent for changing things up.I think of you when I’m needing something different but using what I have!
Love the little honey pot! It is so sweet and was a thoughtful gift for you.
Hoping no more single digits.
Bonnie, what a wonderful memory! I used the fruit rapture on my very first bloghop! I rode with Butch on a business trip to South Carolina and the weather was gorgeous today!
Your Noritake Fruit Rapture dishes are very elegant, love them so much!Sweet gift too!Hugs, dear Pam!
Hugs for you, Maristella!
This is such a fresh look this morning. Love French press coffee. Love the yellow bowl …just pulls it all together. Beautiful and glad you have warm temps.
Thank you Dianne. Butch has a business trip in SC and I came with him. The weather was beautiful on our drive up today!
Pam, your table is beautiful all set for a delicious brunch! The Mikasa dishes are so pretty, and that honey pot is just adorable. As always, your table just shines in that gorgeous dining room! Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!!!
Thank you my dear friend!
Pam, your table is lovely. Your Mikasa is so pretty. I just parted with our Mikasa of I don’t know how many years. And, I always enjoyed setting a pretty table with it.
Your honey pot is a dear piece and I know a treasure to you.
I do enjoy French pressed coffee – but don’t own a French press maker. Perhaps, I need to remedy that.
Happy day to you Pam !
Thank you Sandra. You would enjoy a French-press, mine was very inexpensive and it presses a great cup of coffee!
Pam, even your everyday china is pretty! Know what you mean about the crazy temperature changes–even here on the DE/PA line we went from freezing to low 50’s. Hope you have a lovely day, and looking forward to “the rest of the story”, as Paul Harvey used to say on his radio broadcast.
Thank you Bobbi. I rode to SC with Butch today and the weather was beautiful all the way to Columbia! “The rest of the story” tomorrow!
Pam, you’re table looks so fresh and pretty. Love your fruit theme. I hope that you have a wonderful week!!

Alycia, how good to hear from you. I hope every day is better for you and that your pain is improving. Hang in there and take care of yourself❤️
Pam, that is so beautiful! I have just a couple of pieces of a similar Mikasa pattern and always seem to use them for brunch or breakfast.
Thank you Jean, it is a versatile pattern!
Beautiful tablescape!! My style is similar….love it! My favorite are the cobalt blue glasses!
Thanks so much for visiting!
Everyday china looks good when you set the table, Pam. I am in love with your Noritake stems, too.
Thank you so much Barbara!
Easy and simple….it doesn’t get better than that!
Simple is the best!

Hi Pam, North Carolina has had the same crazy weather and temperature swings. It’s hard to know how to dress in the morning, I’m peeling off my layers by noon 🙂 I love your Mikasa Fruit Rapture. What a pretty and versatile pattern for any occasion, season or weekend brunch! I love your *bee*utiful sweet honey pot too. ♥
Thanks Mary. We had a cold, but sunny start today!
I just found your blog this morning and have really enjoyed looking back at some of your previous posts. Your table setting today reminded me that I should take more care with our everyday meals – they can look pretty too! I live in northern California now, but am a Southern girl at heart. Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful dining room. I love your elegant mahogany table and chairs!
Kathy, I am excited you found me in the big blog world. We have visited Northern CA and love it. I hope you will be back and thank you for your sweet comments.
Pam, I love Mikasa. It is a lovely set of dishes. Love the yellow napkins and the blue water glasses. Thanks for sharing. Sylvia D.
Thanks for visiting!
Pam, It’s our first time on your blog and can we just say how warm and welcoming it is? We love your tablescape and your God-centered life. We are looking forward to growing in friendship through our blogs. We are so happy you joined the launch of our linky party. We hope you will join us every week 🙂 Blessings, Julie & Jodie
Thank you for the warm welcome, sweet ladies!?
Beautiful! I love all the lush colors and the way you pulled this together – the whole thing speaks abundance and warm hospitality. Thanks for sharing with Party in Your PJs!
Hi! I am a first time visitor, coming from Designthusiasm. What drew me to click on your link was all of the beautiful color you use in your home. I decorate in the French Country style and use reds, blues, yellows and greens. Come visit if you have time. We just moved into a new home and are settling in.
Many years ago I was gifted a French Press and I didn’t have a clue what to do with it. It sat it my cabinet for a few years and I gave it away. Fast forward to now and I’m kicking myself for doing that. Your everyday china is so pretty as are the goblets. Also, there’s nothing like an edible centerpiece especially when it’s healthy. Thanks for joining us again at Celebrate Your Story, have a great weekend.
Sandra, if you are a serious coffee-drinker, you would love a French press!
Love, love the table!…If someone gave me a choice of flowers or a fruit design on a plate, I would go for the fruit…
Thank you, Shirley!
