“…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8
Happy Tuesday sweet friends! Can you believe that Valentine’s Day is a couple of weeks away? I feel like we just celebrated the new year! I have always loved Valentines Day…I love the romance and love that the 14th day of February brings out in all of us. And it’s not just a holiday set aside for you and your significant other, but it can be a lovely day for you and your girlfriends, spending time with a widow, or anyone who could be lonely this time of year!
On Saturday, Butch ran a few errands and brought home a dozen roses, just because! He got these particular roses because of their unique color…an orange-red . When I saw them, I knew they would make their way to a tablescape and the idea popped into my mind…”a Paris theme”! Because after all, it is one of my favorite cities, and it’s the time of year for those X’s and O’s! Pull up a chair and join us!
Butch and I have been to Paris twice…once in 2003 and again in 2006. I took this picture of the Eiffel Tower while on a dinner cruise on the Seine. The meal was fabulous and the scenery was the absolute best! Strolling violinists stopped by our table to serenade us, isn’t that romantic?!
A cast iron Eiffel Tower takes center stage with a vase of roses on either side (yes, the hubby did the arranging). You may remember I recently used the quilted table runner, but since I purchased it in France, it was the perfect choice for my table.
Early morning sunlight dances across the table! You all know how much I love books…so I pulled out several that are about “The City Of Light” and stacked them for a little extra interest.
The Eiffel Tower is one of three that I have. I like that it has a place for a votive candle.
*
The dinner plates were purchased at Home Goods several years ago. They were made in England and designed by Carly Dodsley. The color of the roses perfectly matches the red in the plates!
The large painting on the wall that you see in so many of my tablescape pictures is of a sidewalk cafe in Paris!
*
The French have a way of taking something ordinary and making it très chic I didn’t have pretty place cards on hand, so I used what I had available. Eiffel Tower place card holders add a little elegance!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
The Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Élysées
As always thank you for your visits and sweet comments…they make my day!
I am excited to be joining more than twenty bloggers for a Romantic Tablescape Blog Hop next week! I hope you will join me on Monday when I will be sharing my tablescape. With all of these ladies participating, you will be sure to find much inspiration for your Valentines table!

I love your morning light in the dining room, Pam. A fitting ensemble for the coming holiday with your runner, books, painting, flowers and towers! I have that same cast iron Eiffel, and used it for a Galentine’s table. I love the tiny little Eiffels for the place cards! Looking forward to participating in next week’s lineup. It’ll be fun. Have a great day.

Paris is ours this morning! I especially love the light streaming in your beautiful dining room. The Eiffel Tower theme was carried through with perfection. Love the books. Your dining room with its red walls, beautiful drapes and chandelier is so beautiful and adds to every tablescape. Your hubby is getting a head start!! I have a feeling he brings you flowers quite often. Blessings

Love the French themed table with the Eiffel Tower votive holder. I have the same one but without the votive. How romantic would that be lit. Roses from Butch AND he arranged them. What a wonderful, thoughtful kind man.

That is an amazing photo of the Eiffel Tower!!! Wow! And, yes…very romantic to gaze at that with strolling violinists and a scrumptious dinner with your sweetie! I can’t think of anyone who would be able to resist the romantic spell it had to have put you under! I really like the picture of the Arc de Triomphe, too. Your camera caught some amazing images! Beautiful tablescape created with love and great memories. Oh…..that quilted runner is gorgeous, too! I wish I knew how to sew or quilt or knit or crochet or any of that sort of thing. I’m just such an impetuous chick…can’t sit still more than 10 minutes without getting antsy! Happy Valentine’s Day (early) to you and Butch!
