“Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!”
Psalms 150:6
Dear friends, welcome to Floral Friday! I am so glad you are here for our third edition of floral inspiration! Today Shirley, Lidy, Mary, and I are sharing flowers in canning jars. Be sure to scroll to the bottom where you will find my talented friends!
It seems that the iconic jars have shown up everywhere over the past several years, especially at weddings. The weather was beautiful last weekend, so I took the opportunity to take it outside. You are invited to join me under the rose arbor!
Lady Banks Roses are in full bloom, but they only last a short time! With their pretty yellow color, they became a part of Floral Friday!
Using a trio of jars, two of them were filled with snowball blooms and Oriental lilies!
The middle jar overflows with larkspur, lilac spider mums, and snowballs!
I recently found the Nicole Miller floral tablecloth at TJ Maxx…with its soft pastels, it seemed to work perfectly!
The fragrance of the lilies filled the air.
In the foreground is the head of one of the rusty iron statuaries that stands in front of the rose arbor.
From this side of the arbor is a view of my Renaissance Man’s workshop!
With freeze warnings in the forecast, the delicate roses won’t survive. But I am looking forward to the daylilies, coral roses, and hydrangeas blooming so I can share Floral Fridays in my garden. You will definitely be inspired by clicking the links of my very talented friends!
Thank you so much for your visits and taking time to comment. Have a wonderful weekend!

Shirley, my snowballs and Lady Bank Roses may get zapped this weekend along with my large azaleas! Always a pleasure and honor to share Floral Friday with you my friend!
Mary says
Gorgeous Pam! I love the cascade of pretty yellow roses from your arbor! I can only imagine what a treat it would be to enjoy a morning cup coffee or evening cocktail by your arbor of blooms. My MIL had a beautiful LB that was a vigorous grower… don’t you wish the blooms would last longer? We finally planted one last year by a fence and I’m looking forward to a few blooms this spring if it doesn’t get zapped from a late freeze. I love your pretty jars filled your snowballs and lilies and blooming tablecloth! I’m looking forward to seeing it on one of your signature garden tables. Thank you for the beautiful start to my morning. It’s always a pleasure to join you for Floral Friday.♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, thank you dear friend for your sweet comments. It is my pleasure and honor to share Floral Friday with you!
Bonnie Morgan says
I was pleasantly greeted with your post this morning since I had forgotten it was Floral Friday. Your tablet top vignette under your rose arbor is so pretty. I can smell the luscious scent of the asiatic lilies and am reminded of the beautiful pictures of my favorite city, Paris, seeing your book, Paris in Bloom.
I love Lady Banks rose and it is a shame it doesn’t last longer. Your selection of flowers and tablecloth remind me of your creativity. Very lovely. Thank you for this beauty.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie, we are supposed to have 20’s on Sunday. I am afraid it will hurt all that is blooming.
Roxanne says
I adore the blue Ball jars! I have a few that work well with my blue and white Chinese porcelain inside the house but look equally great on the screen porch full of zinnias! Your entire vignette looks ethereal under the bower of Lady Banks. Your yard is so incredible.
My poor yard has been severely neglected since my accident last August. It got mowed and weed-eated, and that’s about it. I worked outside all day Wednesday, pruning the jungle. It was a glorious, warm day with the azaleas just beginning to burst forth, birds singing, sun shining. I felt terrific, completely healed, and blessed. Amazing! Awoke to 28 degrees on Thursday. It’s all good.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, I am thrilled that you have recovered from the accident and are able to work outside, We are expecting 20’s on Sunday morning! Thank you sweet friend for your kind comments!
Katie Clooney says
Good morning, Pam. What a way to wake up! Your flowers are breathtaking. It is supposed to snow AGAIN this afternoon but I am not going to think about it. I much rather make my rounds to your friends doing floral Friday!! Have a wonderful weekend!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Katie. Our spring weather has been crazy everywhere! We are expecting 20’s on Sunday morning!
Rita C. says
Beautiful, Pam! I’m just a little green with envy of all the southern garden beauty you’re already enjoying. The Lady Banks roses are a perfect backdrop to the arrangements you’ve made on the table. Snowball viburnums have yet to bloom here, we’re still hanging on to daffodils, hyacinths and tulips in the landscape, but sure to have ours frozen this weekend too. I so enjoy these Friday Florals – such eye candy! Have a great weekend.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, my azaleas are in full bloom along with candytuft, dogwoods, snowballs, Lady Banks, and we are expecting 20’s here on Sunday morning!

You know I like jars and bottles of all kinds so all of the arrangements you gals have done suit me to a T! Your rose arbor is a thing of beauty which I hope survived the cold. We are finally past dramatic weather changes and spring is flourishing.

What a fairy tale setting Pam, those yellow blooms cascading down, such a special spot, like the secret garden!! I can’t believe the temps are going to dip again, Mother Nature is being downright nasty this Spring! Did you grow the lilies too? A girl can never have too many jars or blooms as far as I’m concerned!! I am buying flowers today! You girls are such an inspiration, all the posts are fabulous!
Jenna
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jenna, I didn’t grow the lilies. However, I will have some blooming a little later. I am sure when it is 95 degrees and 80 percent humidity, I will be wishing for these cooler spring temps. Summer in the South can be brutal!
Nancy says
I am loving this post of yours today! Your rose arbor is absolutely breath taking!!! Your gardens and table area is a breath of fresh air!!
By the way if you see a woman from Arizona sitting under your rose arbor sipping sweet tea… it’s just me! Don’t worry I am harmless!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
You would be most welcome, Nancy!

Pam, absolutely gorgeous. The Lady Banks roses are incredibly beautiful and this entire post is most enjoyable for me, as we have snow on the way for tonight and tomorrow. Your arrangements are also so lovely and I am a huge fan of blue mason jars. To me, they are so cheerful and are especially nice for an outdoor setting ! Again, a beautiful post !
Happy weekend to you !

Thank you dearest Sandra. Snow in April doesn’t sound very appealing. We are predicted to have a freeze in the morning. My Lady Banks and snowballs will get zapped! Happy weekend!

Pam, these photographs are simply stunning! They belong in a magazine! Your floral arrangements in the jars are beautiful with the pretty color combinations. We are expecting a freeze along with snow and ice tonight. Our poor azaleas are about to bloom. We are going to try to cover them and keep our fingers crossed it works. Enjoy your weekend, sweet friend!!!

Pam, I’m late to your garden party. I thought I had commented, then I realized that was in an email. Silly me! Your arbor is so beautiful, my back fence neighbor has a gorgeous Banks rose that fortunately likes to wander over the fence! So pretty, I too wish they bloomed longer. And I’m joining Shirley in her snowball envy, like hers, ours here in California are hanging on by a thread, all sticks and a few teensy leaves.
You have such talent for creating beauty, friend. God has blessed us so with all this earthly beauty, and you have such a knack of transforming your home into a restful, lovely place for all who enter. (Even virtually) I am so thrilled to share Floral Friday’s with you, and wish you and Mr. Everyday Living a lovely weekend. xoxo Lidy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Lidy! We are predicted to have a freeze in the morning, so the Lady Banks and the snowballs will be zapped.

Pam, your jars are beautiful! I love Snowballs. Can’t wait till mine are in bloom. I have always loved the Lady Banks rose. I brought one home from St. George, UT once, but our winters were too cold for it and it didn’t survive. Yours looks absolutely gorgeous on your arbor! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
