“When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
Psalms 94:19
Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone’s week is off to a good start! We had the most gorgeous weather over the weekend…bright blue sunny skies with the highs in the mid seventies! Butch and I spent all day Saturday in the garden, weeding and planting! I thought I wouldn’t be able to move on Sunday, but I was barely sore. After all of the hard work, I thought it would be nice to sit and relax, so I set a small table for us to enjoy dessert in the garden!
The Apricot Drift Roses are blooming and they make a lovely background for our small table!
Renaissance Man’s favorite pie…coconut cream!
The hand-made pottery vase was a gift from The Swag. We loved our stay last year in this mountain hideaway! You can read about it here and here.
The tablecloth was once a topper for a round table in my kitchen. The table was replaced with a French chest and the topper was put away and forgotten! While weeding on Saturday, I remembered it and thought it would look pretty in the garden. My kitchen window treatments are made from the same Schumacher fabric!
With all the gardening, I didn’t have time to bake a coconut pie. But this one baked fresh at a local grocery store was delicious!
A glass of refreshing iced tea with chocolate mint and a twist of lemon was perfect!

Just what we needed after a hard day of work!
Thank you for you visits and comments. They make my day!

This is beautiful, Pam. I’d love to have pie and iced tea in your garden.
Thank you Stacey, it would be my pleasure to have you.
Your garden just begs for a party! Love the cute tablecloth, and the table for two is beautiful with the roses in the background! Glorious May weather!
Jenna
Thanks Jenna! Loving the weather!
I love coconut pie too, Pam, and that setting looks to be the perfect answer to a hard day’s work in the garden!
Thanks Rita, the pie was so good after so much work!
Oh, what a treat to enjoy that gorgeous dessert in such a beautiful setting! And I’ll bet it’s fragrant, too!
The roses have a wonderful fragrance, not overly sweet!
Love the table cloth and aqua chairs together. The background just brings it all together. Bob and I are working trying to fill in spots in the garden, put down mulch..you name it and love every moment of it. I have blue birds nesting and I am just about beside myself…my favorite birds.
How fun to watch the blue birds. Thank you Dianne!
Oh Pam, those gorgeous roses, they are heavenly! What a perfect spot for a marvelous treat. Coconut is tops in my family, my husband loves anything with coconut. Also, I love the fabric for your tablecloth. Pretty fabric is on my list of my many weaknesses.
I know as we roll along into summer your garden is a magnificent sight each and every day. I enjoy it with you !
Thank you dear Sandra! We have so much in common!
Sweet tea…Wine of the South!! My favorite beverage in the entire world! Love, love the tablecloth and those blue butterfly chairs.
On our Viking River Cruise last year, we went to the market with our chef. I asked him what he used chocolate mint for…he infuses it in milk to make creme brûlée! The ship had a very large herb garden on the top deck they use for cooking.
Roxanne, thanks for sharing the mint tip. Refresh my memory which river did you cruise?
Pam, the cruise started and ended in Bordeaux, France, and we cruised the Gargonne and Dordogne rivers through the red wine region. Our family, the Sassards, came to South Carolina from Bordeaux in the 1700s. It was The Best trip I’ve ever been on!!
I thought about infusing the milk with chocolate mint for coffee or hot chocolate!
I have a friend on a Viking cruise now. She is on the Danube and then will go to the Loire Valley and Paris. We are thinking on a river cruise.
Perfect setting with the perfect accessories of pie & sweet iced tea! Perfect place for a lovely time together!
Thank you my dear friend!
What a cheerful and romantic table!Your roses are just stunning! How amazing and inspiring,Pam!Hugs!
Thank you sweet friend!
Pam, what a beautiful table set in such a gorgeous setting! Your tablecloth goes perfectly in its pretty outdoor spot. Coconut Cream Pie is one of my favorites! Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!
Thank you sweet friend!
Beautiful and delicious! Wish I could sit at your table and enjoy tea with you and Butch. Dessert looks so good but dairy is out of the question for me. Just visiting with you would be dessert enough for me. Happy Spring and I’m looking forward to all of your table settings?
Alice, we would love to have you!
Dining alfresco is one of the great pleasures of the warmer months and I am so looking forward to it!
I so agree Debbie!
The first thing that caught my attention is the tablecloth. It is a good idea to have rescued it from oblivion because it is original and very suitable for the garden.
You have shown a very nice and appetizing table, I love …
Dolores
Querida Dolores, gracias por visitarme en el jardín. Ojalá no fuera solo virtual. ¡Espero que hayas descansado de tu viaje! ¡Feliz miércoles!
No time for baking in order to get great gardening results like this? I’m on board!!! I miss gardening. It was starting to “grow on me.”? If ever in life my back decides it wants to show me mercy again, I will be right out there playing in the soil again!!! Do a little for me in the meantime, huh??????
Alycia, I am so hoping your back shows you mercy sweet lady! I will think of you as I am weeding!?????
Love the table and the tablecloth is so much fun!….I love everything that you do in the garden….I think just sitting in that garden is dessert enough for me!!!
Thanks sweet friend!
Awe, what a pretty table setting against the backdrop of those beautiful roses. Pie looks yummy. What a refreshing time. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you my friend!?
You put so much love into your tablescapes and posts!
To have coconut pie in your garden would be the quintessential treat for me!
Aw, thanks Nancy!
Lovely table, lovely setting, and really yummy looking coconut cream pie! Thanks for sharing it with us on Share Your Style.
It is my pleasure to share!
A garden party! Everything looks yummy and so pretty with the spring colors. I’ll have a slice of that coconut pie!
Thank you! I regret to say the pie is all gone?
Oh, how I would love to enjoy sitting here enjoying a piece of that pie – looks so relaxing! Happy Spring!
What a gorgeous Spring time tablescape. I absolutely love your fresh and vintage tablecloth. So beautiful among the beautiful flowers and the butterfly chairs. You can not ask for a more stunning outdoor tablescape for dessert and great company.
