“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, O Lord, my rock and my redeemer.”
Psalms 19:14
Hello lovely friends! I hope your week is off to a good start. We had a very busy weekend, but we accomplished some things on our “to do list.” I started a project on Saturday that I am extremely excited about! It will take some time to complete, but I will be sharing with you in the future.
Warm weather will always find me tablescaping in the garden or on the patio! Grab a glass of sweet tea and join me at a sweet smelling table!
The fragrance of magnolia and sprigs of lavender are filling the air!
A vintage tablecloth covers the wrought iron table. I think most of you agree that the white table and chairs really add a lift to the garden.
Stemware was found at Tuesday Morning several years ago.
Placemats were added for color and texture.
The plates are a new find from TJ Maxx. Yes, they are melamine, but I really like their tropical feel!
The centerpiece is a single magnolia bloom. Our magnolia tree was planted 39 years ago, a couple of months after we finished building our home…we were very young!?
In my opinion, a little bling is always good!
I love the glow of the sun on the hay bales in our pasture.
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
Sprigs of lavender were tucked under sterling napkin rings!
Thank you for your visits and taking time to comment. It means so much to connect with you, our readers!
My blogging friends and I will be sharing on Friday our Floral Friday series. Be sure to visit for some flower therapy!

Where are the glasses bought?

Thank you Nancy. They are from Tuesday Morning several years ago.

Think it should say. Where were the glasses bought? ?

I love the colours.
Did cousin Itt like the tablescape? :p
What did he say? I never could understand him, but since you invited him I presume you do!
Did you know, in the 1960 s show, there were people smoking on set so they stopped using real hair on cousin Itt, and switched to synthetic. They must have gone organic and now they’re using grass!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Cath, you are too funny. I actually haven’t thought of Cousin It in years???
Donna Bianca says
Beautiful, love this tropical atmosphere!

Thank you Donna!

Pam, you never cease to amaze me with your creativity in tablescaping. You have a great gift for using things you have and adding a few new things here and there. The magnolia bloom was the star as was your new colorful floral plates but your garden plan on every side provides a lush backdrop. I need some photography lessons from you.
Is it raining everyday at your house? It certainly is here.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie so very much. It rains all over our area, but we have not received a drop. We are having to water our garden. Maybe today we will get much needed rain.

Did I see you again in the current Southern Lady? I think I did! I get very excited and happy when that happens. This could be a contender in the future, don’t you think? So colorful and happy!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Good morning Jeanie, yes you did see me. I couldn’t believe it. Thank you sweet friend!

Pam, this post is fabulous! I absolutely adore every single thing and you are such a talented soul! So love the magnolia blossom ~ one blossom truly is the star of the show. Also, love the lavender sprig tucked under the napkin ring, such a lovely touch.
Hope you will see rain soon, watering a large garden can be hard work. Congratulations on another appearance in Southern Lady. That is so exciting and well deserved !
Have a beautiful day and week !

Hopefully rain today! Thank you sweet friend and have a beauty-filled day!

Pam, those gorgeous, colorful, floral plates immediately caught my eye! There are so many pretty melamine plates on the market today. I love using them when we eat outdoors. Just beautiful Pam! I always love having a seat at a table in your garden! Our magnolia is blooming too but the blooms are beyond the reach of my snips and lens of my camera! I hope you’re getting some much needed rain this week. We had a wonderfully cool and overcast day yesterday so I was able to do some gardening chores without burning up. You’ve peaked my curiosity about your ‘project’ that will take some time to complete and I’m wondering if Butch is building your potting shed?! Looking forward to seeing your beautiful floral arrangement on Friday ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Mary, but no potting shed yet! ?

What a beautiful al fresco setting and fragrant magnolia scent from the magnolia southern lady ! I mean, I can smell it all the way to here, lol.. There are many magnolia trees around here and I always loved the flower and it’s scent, that’s why I bought a lovely china from Spain.
I love those lovely plates and your garden is enchanting dear friend. As a tablescaper and a lover of plates, I always enjoy visiting you, never disappoint.

Pam, what a beautiful table you’ve ‘scaped! That magnolia might be too overpowering for an indoor dining table, but perhaps just right for this al fresco setting. So beautiful!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jean!
Anne says
My first visit! Lovely. I’ll be back. What is the name of the beautiful, big grassy plants?….
Cousin It’s relatives? We are renovating a cute cottage, and all the yard area and landscaping. Would love to add Cousin It, Jr somewhere . Will be adding a magnolia tree, also. Have to have one in the south! Virginia.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Welcome Anne! I so hope you will visit often! The grasses are called Adagio Maiden Grass that are obviously ornamental. They flower with long plumes and are quite lovely and add a different texture to the garden. Happy Tuesday!
