Happy Tuesday sweet friends! I am so happy you are here for a new tablescape in the garden. It is definitely too hot to dine alfresco with temps in the nineties and high humidities. Not to be defeated, I waited until around 7 p.m. and set up this tablescape to share with you. After all, I love setting a table in the garden especially while the lovely limelight hydrangeas are in bloom.

The large limelight blooms are the star of this tabletop and the garden!
There are three limelight bushes at the back of my garden set between sunshine ligustrums for an explosion of greens and creamy white.
A colorful tablecloth that I found several years ago at TJ Maxx provides the underpinning of another simple tablesetting.
Lime green dinner plates were the obvious choice to mix with limelight blooms.
I chose a blue and white striped pitcher to accent the blues of the tablecloth.
Salad plates almost mimic the pattern on the tablecloth…shh, they are melamine from TJ Maxx a couple of years ago.
The lime green/blue swirl glasses were also an obvious choice. I bought eight of these several years ago at Tuesday Morning, I only have six left.
Notice the tall sunflowers to the right in the photo, they will be in bloom in a few days. They have such happy faces and make me smile. The deer munched on a couple of the plants when they first came up, those pesky plant loving animals. Please don’t tell Butch I said they were pesky.
Blue napkins make a nice accent!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
As the sun was setting, there was a slight breeze that rustled through the trees…it made me linger a little longer.
I hope you will join me and my three talented blogging friends this Friday for flower therapy. I will be sharing something I haven’t ever done before!
Thank you precious friends for your visits and the lovely comments that are left behind, they always brighten my day. I leave you with this simple bouquet of limelight hydrangeas and wishes for a joy-filled day!

Gorgeous Pam! I love seeing the limelights in bloom as a centerpiece and I know you’re looking forward to your sunflowers! I can’t believe how eerily close your plates match your pretty tablecloth. I love your tables in the garden and I appreciate your efforts as it’s been sooooo hot and humid here…I’m ready for a break from the heat! We were supposed to get some much needed rain yesterday but it missed us. Looking forward to seeing you Friday. ♥
Thank you Mary, we are supposed to have drier air moving in tomorrow. Happy Tuesday!
We also dine outside on Summer evenings alot. Very cool and fresh colour scheme, those hydrangeas are new to me. I have the blue ones.
Look out for my Cartier posts, you might like.
Cath, these hydrangeas love full sun!
The Limelight’s are beautiful. Hydrangeas are some of my favorite flowers and for some reason I haven’t been able to find a good spot to grow them in my garden. Thanks for sharing your lovely table.
Thank you Carolyn. Wishing you a wonderful day!
Just beautiful! You find the best tablecloths and you had all the right dishes to go with your cloth to make it special. I love the striped pitcher with it. Looking forward to Floral Friday!
Have you had good luck drying limelights.?Highland’s Bar and Grill had the prettiest arrangement with dark and light dried blooms in their window. Not sure exactly what they were but it has made me wonder. I thought some of my limelights were drying nicely only to get home after three days away to find them not so pretty.
We were happy to drive our almost five hour drive home without getting in the rain. We went the long way around through Guntersville to avoid the construction north of Birmingham.
Highlands has a designer and if you go to their Instagram , you will find out about the arrangements. I have had a little success at drying them, but not as much as I do with mop heads. Guntersville is a pretty drive!
The blues make everything look and feel cool! Your tablescape is lovely. I just keep telling myself all this humidity keeps our skin hydrated!!!
Thank you Roxanne. You are thinking on the positive side about this humidity!
Such a beautiful and cheerful table, Pam!
Thank you sweet friend. Wishing you and Virginia a wonderful day!
Such a lovely, lovely table and the blue is always a favorite for me to see. It would be a treat for anyone to sit at your pretty table in your fabulous garden. And your limelight’s are gorgeous! Ours are just setting on their blooms. They are the star in our August garden.
Have a great week, Pam. Enjoy these summer days!
Thank you sweet friend!
Stunning, Pam, just so inviting a space and gorgeous flowers!
Thank you Carole!
I love the shape of the limellight hydrageas. THey look really beautiful in that pitcher and the pitcher is terrific on that wonderful tablecloth. All set off by your white chairs! Four star!
Thank you Jeanie, if only it was cooler outside!
What a beautiful table setting! I love the blue and white pitcher!
Thank you Penny, have a wonderful day!
Pam, this is so pretty! The gorgeous tablecloth with your limelight hydrangeas in the background make such a stunning accompaniment. Your plates and glassware look like they were made to go with the tablecloth perfectly! Enjoy your day, sweet friend!!!
Thank you sweet Shannon!
Oh Pam… I love your color scheme!! The tablecloth and place settings practically scream Summer! Our limelights have not bloomed yet. Have a wonderful Summer.
Katie, thanks for stopping in. I hope your summer is going well!
Ooh this is so pretty! Love how summery that tablecloth is. That striped pitcher with the limelights is perfect and that glassware is my favorite that you share. We finally cooled off and are having a few days of 70’s. The humidity also let up so I’m going to get some things done outside. I’m glad you still took the time to set up your pretty table!
Liz, enjoy those 70’s and low humidity! Happy Wednesday!
Stunning! Colors so calming and so perfect together. You are a star in the blog world. Your words inspire as much as the beauty you create. Much love.
Dianne, you are so sweet my friend!
Had to smile regarding the pesky deer comment. My brother in laws’ mother in law would see a herd of deer going throught her yard and pick one off with her rifle. This was many years ago. She was quite the marks woman. The wild turkeys were also fair game. She was able to feed her large family very well back in those days when her money was tight. Today we would be in jail and would be eating mush. Our daughters’ hydrangeas were eaten down to the ground this year.Yours are beautiful.
Alice, I love that story and Butch will get a kick out of it. The deer ate my endless summer hydrangeas to the ground last year. They were planted in the front landscape. They also rubbed a new willow tree that Butch planted in our lower front landscape and it died. They are a force to deal with for sure.
Gosh, I love the way those limelights so fully complement your tablecloth, salad plates and glassware!!! They are PERFECT! They’re so full and fluffy, too…a whole bush of them probably looks more like a cloud than a bush! It’s so great when you can just go out in the yard and cut something wonderful to grace your table. My body will no longer allow me to even try to maintain a cutting garden of any kind, but I sure have fun admiring those who can! Melamine? Hey…I’m all for it! What’s that old song say…Summertime and the living is easy? Yeah, baby!!! 🙂
Hi Alycia! I do love cutting from the garden, but there is so much work put into a garden. Thank you for your sweet visit. Love that old song?
I love everything about this tablescape. Everything looks fresh and inviting. You’d never guess it was hot and humid. I enjoy your tablescapes, and your garden is lovely.
Thank you so much Sharon, have a wonderful day!
Gorgeous and inspiring,Pam!So cool!Hugs!
Thank you Maristella!
I totally agree about the deer! They are pesky! They ate everything up in my yard and garden last year. So disappointing! This year we have had to put fences around everything. Still they come in the yard every evening! They are beautiful, but I wish they would stay far away from my house. Your limelights are absolutely beautiful and the table set up in the garden is so lovely and inviting!
Thank you so much, Julia. The deer seem to be a problem everywhere.
So pretty Pam! Your salad plates match your tablecloth, so cute! Love the glasses too…
Jenna
Thank you Jenna?
Oh, how beautiful! It is amazing how you can just take so many hues and pieces and bring them all together and make them look like they were purchased for this exact setting! God has gifted you in so many ways, sweet friend. I am so thankful to have found your blog. I always feel so refreshed in spirit after visiting here. You are a shining light in a dark world! Sending many thanks to you today!
Thank you my friend for your encouragement. I am so thankful for you and your teaching. It is such a blessing.
LOVE your outdoor table. I wish we could dine al fresco more often but this time of year here in N FL it is like a sauna outside after our afternoon rains. I’m looking forward to some Fall temps.

Thank you Carolyn for visiting!
Pam, that is such a pretty table! My favorite thing is the blue stripped pitcher and the Limelights. I have a small Limelight tree, but won’t be blooming for a while. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Always a pleasure to share with SYC!
What a beautiful table Pam. Not only is your table beautiful, your gardens are just stunning. Your centerpiece is gorgeous with the limelights in the blue striped pitcher. The blue napkins pop on the table and the glasses are perfect with your table.
Judy you are so sweet. Thank you for your lovely comments. Happy Monday!
how I wish you were here with me. I am rearranging things outside and can’t make up my mind! Glad I am taking fifteen minutes to visit a few blogs and take a break. Seeing your gorgeous table and yard is calming my nerves and helping me to not over think things. I am loving the pop of green combined with blue and white. It’s so crisp and refreshing.
You are so sweet Christine. I am still learning on how to garden. It is a lot of trial and error for me.
Beautiful lime green and blue are one of my favourite combinations. Beautifully done, Pam.
Thank you Barbara. Wishing you a lovely day!
Love the blues/greens/whites! Just lovely! Pinning!
Thank you Julie!
Your table almost (almost!!!!) convinced me to try for alfresco tonight. Luckily it rained hard and I settled happily inside. I have to admit I really only do alfresco dining in the spring and fall, unless we get lower temps — and lower humidity — than usual. Pretty coordinated patterns, but then you can’t go wrong with blue and green combos!
Thank you so much Sandra. Have a wonderful weekend!
Perfect table! I love it!
Thank you Beth!
Beautiful. Love the peek of your garden in the background.
Thanks so much for your visit!
