“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
Hello sweet friends…and welcome to our blogiversary week! It is so much fun to look on the last 4 years to see where the blogging world has taken me! Today I want to invite you to reminisce with me as we look back over my Tablescape Tuesdays! We are marking this special week with a chance to win two giveaways that you will want to be sure and enter at the end of this post! Hopefully you will notice a major improvement in my photography skills, since we are starting at the very beginning of my blogging days!

Long before I started this blog I was setting tablescapes for family and friends. My Mother was my example of how to welcome people into my home and to my table. This was the Debut of Tablescape Tuesday!
Always remember, the most important part of your setting is the faces and laughter of those seated around your table…
As an interior decorator, I have often been asked to do a variety of jobs, with event planning being a favorite. Over the past twenty years, the events have ranged from charity auctions to birthday parties to silver and golden anniversaries to small intimate weddings, to large wedding receptions held in beautiful venues– many being in the homes of my clients. This was the most important event I ever planned…the wedding of our son and daughter-in-love!
Tablescape Tuesday has taken to the road on a few occasions. My long-time and very dear friend Patti lives in North Carolina and she has the most gorgeous collection of china, crystal, and silver. I spent a weekend with her in early 2015 with the purpose of showcasing her collections on tabletops…I was smitten by the Wedgwood Patrician “Morning Glory” pattern with its multicolor floral center and blue trim with an embossed outer rim. The silk tablecloth from India is exquisite!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
You may have noticed I always use this scripture somewhere within my tablescape post. This Apples Of Gold tablescape explains the reason.
Endless Summer Tablescape was my first time to participate in a blog hop. I enjoyed it so much that I regularly join with a host of talented bloggers to share our love of tablescaping!
Sweet time Around My Coffee Table was my first guest post. My dear friend Shirley from Housepitality Designs invited me to write a post for her blog. This year she invited me to join Floral Friday! If you are not following her blog, you need to.
This Christmas tablescape Plaid Tidings was very popular with you all. It is one of my favorites! What is not to love about Christmas?!!
My Mary Poppins tablescape was so much fun to put together with a little bit of magic thrown in!
What a sweet time with my Tea Party Dreams garden table!
A simply styled table with ranunculus and the use of some pretty plates taken from the wall became a romantic favorite!
January can be a hard month to create a table setting. Birds Of A Feather came together nicely with the winter sunlight streaming through the dining room windows.
A table set for one under the rose arbor included a favorite breakfast…Espresso & Biscotti!
Bottles filled with wildflowers…simple but pretty!
Now for the giveaways. Two wonderful Hoffman Media books will be given away in celebration of our blogiversary!
First place winner:While the custom of afternoon tea originated in Europe, the beverage itself has ties around the world. Tea Parties Around the World is a 136-page hardback book by the editors of award-winning TeaTime magazine. With 97 recipes, Tea Parties Around the World presents a collection of scones, savories, and sweets, perfect for treating teatime guests to an international culinary tour without the need for a passport.
Second place winner: No matter the season, there’s always room for sweets on the table. From holidays to birthday parties to a typical weekday afternoon, there’s no wrong time to indulge in a confection. So tie on an apron, grab the sugar, and dive into The Tiny Book of Sweets & Confections in the kitchen.
So how do you enter? I am so glad you asked! All you have to do is leave a comment below for one entry. For another chance to win come back on Thursday for Part 2 of our blogiversary celebration and comment on that post also. The winners will be chosen by a random drawing and announced on Tablescape Tuesday, August 14.
Truly, I have the best followers. You all have shown me such love and kindness for these four years. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and I look forward to sharing more tablescapes with you!
