“Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”
Psalms 27:14
Happy Tuesday sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a great start. Be sure to check out the winners of the giveaway at the bottom of this post. Thank you for your sweet and generous comments on our four year blogiversary.
As I was planning for today, I realized that I had only set a table once on the patio this summer. Pull up a chair and join me for a simply summer tablescape!
If there was inspiration, it was that I wanted to use the blush tablecloth I found at TJ Maxx a couple of months ago. As you can see, it is a very simple Tablescape.
Portmeirion “Botanic Garden” dinner plates were placed on American Atelier “Baroque” chargers.
Godinger ” Dublin” stemware from Horchow added a touch of elegance.
I have six dinner plates with different flowers on each…I love the hydrangea.
This one has sunflowers (you all know I love sunflowers) with a real live insect…do you see it?
It wasn’t too windy, so I could light the candles.
The centerpiece was so easy…three limelights…Voila!
On each side of the patio, I planted oleanders in my large stained concrete pots. Normally there are lots of blooms but they were blown off by last Thursday’s storm that also knocked down a tree in our pasture. The thyme planted at the base has really grown.
The reflection of the pergola on the gold fork is interesting!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11
I am so thankful for all of you sweet readers. You take time out of your busy day to visit with me and to even leave comments. You always make my day.

Simply stunning Pam! I love any table your set with a garden view and Portmeiron Botanic Garden is a favorite pattern. I love the pretty scalloped edges of your Baroque chargers framing the plates. I have concrete planter envy…they’re so handsome planted with your oleander and thyme. We’ve had some crazy summer storms lately too!
Thank you so much Mary. Wishing you a beautiful Tuesday❤️
Pam, your tablescape is so elegant and beautiful with your garden in full view. I love your Portmeiron plates and they look great with those chargers and gold silverware. I’ve always hoped to run across those plates at TJ Maxx. Each plate is beautiful! I have a small bowl I enjoy using in that pattern.
Your thyme looks exceptionally healthy. What a shame the storm knocked your blooms off your oleander.
Congratulations again on your blogiversary and for the giveaway winners.
Thank you Bonnie. I know you are enjoying your sweet family❤️
Pam, an absolutely gorgeous table. I so love the tablecloth and your Portmeiron plates. The photo I especially love is the one of the close up of the hydrangea plate and with the candles burning. It is just lovely! I can’t fail to mention the limelights – such an amazing plant. Ours are now in full bloom, they are my August loves.
Congratulations to the giveaway winners! Have a beautiful week and enjoy these last few weeks of summer!
Thank you Sandra. Enjoy your limelights, mine have been beautiful but they are waning!
Gorgeous. i love how this setting took on a fabulous soft elegance. Such a pretty and inviting table and the gardens are amazing.
Thank you Marty! Have a wonderful Tuesday.
Simple and elegant. The Portmeiron plates are perfect with your new tablecloth. Just all so fresh looking and beautiful.
Thank you Dianne, blessings~
I love the Portmerion patterns. This is a particularly beautiful one. Very elegant. Funny, you could do that same table setting with a different cloth and lose the crystal (but same centerpiece) and it would have an ENTIRELY different look — more casual or more “gardeny”. That’s what makes decorating the table so much fun. A simple change of a couple of accessories and a table cloth and you have a whole new look!
Jeanie, just a couple of changes gives a new look. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
Oh what a stunning tablescape! And My favorite pattern from Portmeiron dinnerware makes me happy. The elegance of your garden along with your stunning tablescape is amazingly breathtaking!

Ooooh, I meant Portmeirion plates, actually, lol… sorry ! I got confused because of the similarity, but I must say I like these so much better.
Fabby
Pam, that tablescape is pure elegant simplicity. I love it. I have that same stemware. It is my favorite…simply elegant. Betty
Thank you Betty, Happy Sunday!
This is so pretty and classic.the Botanic garden plates are appropriate out in Mother Nature.
Oleander here grows very large, it’s all poisonous so watch your little girl with it.
Thank you Cath! Oleander is perennial along our Gulf Coast. It is only an annual here.
Wow, it’s so different. Do you know what kills it off each year?
Our weather is too cold
Do you get snow?
Not often, but we will usually get several nights in the teens and some single digits (Fahrenheit)
Ah, in Sydney we would only go as low as -1 Celsius. That was not near the harbour, it’s warmer there.
We get about the same where we live here. It’s temperate climate so it doesn’t snow this far down.
Beautiful and peaceful.
Thank of so much Kim!
