“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:38
Hello sweet friends, I hope your week is off to a good start. We were glad to see rain yesterday with more rain expected today! I’m not always so happy for a week of forecasted rain, but since it’s promising cooler temps, I can pull out the umbrella and rainboots and get excited! Most of you know how much I love this time of year…the warm colors and the tastes of fall are two of my favorite things. Join me in the garden today as we experience the early days of autumn!

The texture of the ornamental grasses provide a backdrop for my autumn table set in the faded garden!
For a tablecloth, I used a plaid throw with my favorite fall colors…gold, orange, and brown!
I never like to waste, so I used apples from last week’s Floral Friday for each place setting!
Gold napkins and orange placemats pull out the vibrant autumnal colors of the throw!
The garden has certainly changed! With little rain in September, limelight hydrangeas have already turned brown and their leaves are falling off.
For the centerpiece I pulled out one of my birch bark vases. Recycled alstroemeria from Floral Friday and cut hydrangeas, nandina, gold zinnias, rosemary, and purple fountain grass plumes made this a simple centerpiece, using what I had!
Vintage Fostoria “Jamestown” stemware is new to me and is perfect for autumn!
Spode “woodland” dinner plates hold different colors of leaf plates!
One of our ginkgo trees is already losing leaves apparently from the stress of heat and no rain…I scattered a few on the table!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver.”
Proverbs 25:11

Wonderful table, that plaid tablecloth just looks like fall. I used to have a wool skirt with a similar plaid that I wore with boots. It always said fall was here to me, love the cooler days!

Thank you Carole. Have a wonderful week!

I love the plaid throw with the scattered ginkgo leaves. I’m sitting on my porch now, looking at all the millions of tired green leaves that will start falling soon…and have to be raked up! We are getting rain here too after a very hot, dry spell. Enjoy your day, sweet Pam!

Thank you Roxanne. Have a wonderful week my friend!

Such a pleasant fall tablescape. You recycle well and you are wise to do that. I love your birch bark vases and scattered ginko leaves. I have the same amber Fostoria stemware but yours may be a slightly darker color or it may be the light.Your pumpkin in the urn is attractive, too.
Love that we have gotten rain. We sorely needed it as our grass had lots of brown spots.
Have a pleasant week. ?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. The Fostoria is brown rather than the amber, but light does make them appear even purple. Ha e a wonderful week!

Welcome, Fall! I do love your colors of Fall. New (old) glasses, hehe. It all looks so very pretty, Pam. We’ve had over 2″ of rain again this week already (in just two days), and it looks as though more is coming. Our water table this year has just been incredibly increased in my region. Prayers for those will be impacted further south by the (still) aftermath of Florence and rising rivers!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am still praying for our Southern friends. I even hate to say how bad we needed rain when they have suffered from Florence.
Penny at Enjoying The Simple Things says
How pretty! I love the dinnerware you used and the plaid throw says fall has arrived!

Thank you Penny!

Dear Pam, your autumn table is beautiful. There is something about Spode and Fostoria – all their patterns are lovely. I especially enjoyed seeing the ginkgo leaves, I have leaves from our tree in Va. framed. The ginkgo is such a special tree. Also, enjoyed your birch bark vase, so pretty as part of your autumn table.
Have a lovely week and I hope you will be seeing cooler temperatures.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Sandra. We are having a rainy week and the promise of cooler temps.

Sweet friend, such a gorgeous autumn table with rich traditional fall color! I’m a traditional girl who loves the true colors of fall. I adore fall, and I am so excited for the new season. The throw makes a perfect underpinning, and I have always admired the Spode Woodland pattern. Everything looks beautiful in your outdoor setting! Happy Fall!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet Shannon. Hopefully it will be cooler here very soon!

Fantastic !! … My dear friend, only the first image has enchanted me. Scottish fabrics fascinate me, I’m looking for photo stores to make cushions for my living room. I’ve also seen them do it, but I do not like them … they seem to cook … hahahaha
A total success in this table that you show us, I love … everything: the floral center of the birch bark is great, the plaid is a success and, in general, the set is very successful … Autumn already is here, let’s enjoy

¡Hola querida Dolores! Amor y abrazos, Pam

Love your Fall tablescape Pam. I have the same leaf plates from William Sonoma and the Spode Woodland pattern dishes and they all scream “Fall” to me even here in Florida. The throw is a perfect tablecloth and the birch vase is wonderful as it ties it all together. Great job as usual and I adore your garden setting.
Blessings Always

Oh, my! I had a comment all ready, and it just disappeared!!! Everything looks so beautiful, sweet friend, and your words about the rain made me think of the Talleys’ new song. In case you haven’t heard it, here is a link to it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHSjtG0lbiA. God bless you, sweet friend. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear friend. It is so interesting that you sent the Talleys’ link. In the early 90’s, my husband, cousin, and I had a singing group. We sang in a lot of churches in the Southeast. We recorded four albums and the last two were produced by Roger Talley. We kept in touch with them for several years and would always go see them sing when they were close. Too many years have passed and we lost contact with them. I have always loved their music.

Oh my goodness! I LOVE the centerpiece. The tablecloth is beautiful! You give me so many wonderful ideas. I am biting at the bites to do a little table for two out by my pond but oh my friend it’s still too hot. And late afternoons we still have those pesky little black mosquito’s which I do believe those and yellow flies are Satan’s spawns. The apples are darn cute. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much sweet Cindy! I hope your weather cooperates for a tablescape out by your pond soon!

Beautiful table setting indeed! Even the pampas grass in the background looks lovely which I admire as we are always trying to kill it as we don’t seem to know how to grow it as beautiful as you have it. 🙂
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Thank you sweet Elizabeth. The grasses are adagio maiden grass and is not invasive like pampas.

So beautiful Pam. The plaid throw set the table up perfectly. Love the floral arrangement- that birch bark vase is fabulous. We had a moderate to severe draught up here and I’m wondering how it is going to affect the trees this year. Fall might be swift this year!
