“Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.”
Isaiah 7:14
Warm Christmas greetings and I am so glad you have landed here at Everyday Living! It truly is the most wonderful time of the year, don’t you agree? Many of you were hit by a major snow storm over the weekend, and hopefully you stayed warm and safe. No snow for us here in the Appalachian Foothills, just four days of dark skies and rain! These are the kind of days that make me want to stay in by the fire, drink hot chocolate, and read or watch Hallmark movies. If only I could have, it would have been wonderful!
Today I am joining twenty creative bloggers to bring you a Christmas Tablescape blog hop hosted by Chloe of Celebrate & Decorate. You’re invited to pull up a chair at my Sweet Christmas table!
I still love the traditional reds and greens of Christmas, it reminds me of sweet Christmases gone by.
The line-up for the week of tablescape inspiration is at the bottom of this post.
As you can see, my table is a mix of colors, patterns, and textures. I decided to use the centerpiece from Lynch Creek Farm, as it is still fresh and beautiful. For the table I placed it in a dough bowl.
I always have questions about the festive stemware, unfortunately it has been discontinued by Pier 1. A colorful table requires a colorful drink…cranberry-pineapple punch is perfect for the holidays.
Buffalo check placemats top a toile style table cloth paired with tartan napkins.
The salad plates are new, I couldn’t resist since they were on sale at Pier 1. There are four different Christmas village scenes…Pet Store…
…Toys…
…and a Post Office which is why I wanted these sweet plates. My Daddy was a postal employee for forty years before he retired. He loved his job and always received so many gifts at Christmas!
One of my collection of Fitz and Floyd Santa’s!
My little princess loves candy and when she is with me, I spoil her with a few treats. Hershey’s chocolate mint candy canes are tucked in with the napkins, Skittles are in the ruby red sherbet bowls, and Ghirardelli peppermint bark snowmen are placed above the forks. She and I will be robbing the table this week.
A special thank you for your sweet visits and the comments that you leave. My winner of the Lynch Creek Farm “winter adventure” wreath is Carol R! Congratulations Carol and thank you for all who entered.
Be sure to visit these talented bloggers as they share their Christmas Tablescapes!

I love your sweet Christmas table Pam…so many pretty layers and patterns! I can see why you couldn’t resist those adorable village plates from Pier 1…they have such a sweet feeling of nostalgia and small town America. Their wintry scene with the snowflakes are appropriate for our weather this weekend…brrr! I love your pretty Fitz and Floyd Santa pitcher. I’m partial to the ones with animals or woodland creatures! Thanks for setting a place for me at your Christmas table. It’s always a joy to blog hop with you. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Mary. I hope you have dug out from the snow❤️
Rita C. says
Pam, I can totally relate to your desire for those plates, and I’m sure you’ll place the post office on your Dad’s place setting. They are adorable! I love how you’ve incorporated your centerpiece, it’s so pretty (congrats to Carol R, lucky lady with the wreath!), and that stemware is perfect for the holidays. I bet Ella Mae noticed how they match the skittles, giving herself away as she snatches a piece. 😉 I can just see the two of you and how much fun that must be (and then sending sugar-buzzed baby home, lol).
It’s a lovely Christmas table, and I can’t get over how perfect that wall color sets things off. It truly was a good choice! I love how rich the wood looks against it, and the frames of your art on the wall.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
The post office scene will definitely be at my Daddy’s spot at the table. Ella Mae wanted the sweets all day, I only gave her a few. Thank you so much Rita!
shirley@housepitalitydesigns says
What a most sweetest of sweets table Pam! Just love the new plates…I need to visit Pier 1 more often! I also adore how you mixed the toile and buffalo check and plaid together…looks great!…When my Sweetie was little she loved to help me decorate the table…(she was never a “candy person”) just loved dark chocolate….so enjoy your Little Princess especially during the Holidays..I miss the joy and twinkle in their eyes anticipating the arrival of Santa. OK…now how did I miss that new wall color in your dining room…love it!! Have a Merry day Pam!!!

Thank you dear Shirley, merry Wednesday!

Thank you so much Marty. Have a merry week!
Patti Fralix says
Pam, I love so many things about this! First, is that a toile Christmas tablecloth? You know how I love toile, so if it is you should give that to me! I do love the new color of your dining room walls; it makes the deeper colors pop. And the greenery around your chandelier; beautiful! I do also love the bright glasses and new dishes from Pier 1, and with the post office scene on the plates, how special with Coke Man’s postal service. I must go and do more to my main table! I spent our snowed in day yesterday finishing decorating our two trees and the rest of the house, although I am not completely through yet. I made myself stop at one point when I thought of what you said the other day about giving yourself permission to not use everything that you have! I also want to/plan to get rid of anything that I have not used recently. Love to you and all at this most wonderful season of the year!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sweet friend, the toile is a Christmas cloth. I have always wanted to see your beautiful home at Christmas, hopefully one day. Your photos of the snow were magical. Have a most wonderful week and thank you for your sweet comments❤️
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
A beautiful and festive table, Pam. I so love your new plates, I probably wouldn’t have passed them by either. They are so sweet. Your centerpiece is perfect with everything on your table. Pam, with every photo of your dining room, I am more and more in love with the new color. It is simply gorgeous. Have a ‘merry’ week, enjoy your sweet girl.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Sandra. She and I baked yesterday, so much fun!
Penny at Enjoying The Simple Things says

What a beautiful table. I especially noticed the napkin rings your mother made; we discussed them last year as I have a set also. It’s funny you called Ella Mae a princess…yesterday my comment wouldn’t post (must have been the weather!). I said Princess Ella Mae needs a tiara, and yes I have one!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, you have a wonderful memory. Have a merry week!
S C Williams says
Pam, Your table is beautiful. The plates are perfect and those glasses are some of my favorites that you possess! Everything is so festive. Your Daddy will enjoy dining at this table & may even share a story or two about his days @ the post office. Ella Mae will enjoy partaking of a sweet treat all this week. It will be a memory she will enjoy looking back upon when she is older. Grandma’s are the best! Clara ?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Clara, thank you so much. Ella Mae has already found the sweets. Have a wonderful and merry week!
Belle Bleu Interiors says
Pam, what a beautiful traditional Christmas table. The colors, mix of patterns, and layers create such a pretty setting. Now for those plates…they are precious. I can see why you had to have them. I keep saying I won’t buy anymore dishes, but these are tempting me. I may have to make a trip to Pier 1. I also agree with Sandra…I am loving that new dining room color. It is gorgeous! Enjoy your day, sweet friend!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you sweet friend. Wishing you a most wonderful week!

What a gorgeous table, with such a wonderful ambiance all about it! I love the mix of patterns and plaids. I don’t know how I missed those cute salad plates at Pier 1 – and what a perfect memory of your dad to give them more meaning. Your chandelier looks beautiful, a fabulous extension to your pretty centerpiece. Who wouldn’t have a merry time sitting at your table?!? Thanks for hopping with us!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Ann, have a most wonderful Tuesday!
Kari says
Pam you know how to put your table elements together to show us a charming tablescape. The plates are adorable and sweet….and I especially love the post office one and the sentiment behind it. I love Fitz and Floyd and your Santa pitcher is so nostalgic. I am sure little Ella Mae is enjoying her Christmas this year, as grandma shows her “Christmas” through the eyes of a child. It can’t get any more precious than that. Merry Christmas dear friend. Give Ella Mae a hug for me.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Aw, thanks so much Kari. Being a grandmother is definitely a reward for getting older!
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
Beautiful table, Pam, I love those dishes!! Did you get them this year? Charming and sweet, and I like your goblets too. Too bad the really pretty things that go well with a lot of themes get discontinued.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Carole, I did get them this year. Thanks so much!

Dolores Velasco says
Pam the table looks great. Everything is impressive because of the color and the work done. I want to highlight the collection of dishes that, in addition to their beauty, have really creative motives … they are very beautiful!
And I do not want to forget to comment how well the color of the wall of the masterpiece looks, it gives a feeling of serenity in contrast to the color of the ornamentation of the table.
A hug
Dolores
Pam @ Everyday Living says

I love the mixture of patterns and colors. It makes it so exciting to look at just like a Christmas tree. Your Fitz and Floyd Santa is gorgeous and really is worth the price of collecting them. The Pier 1 salad plates are darling. They are so sweet and are just as beautiful as looking at Christmas villages.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Marsha. I just noticed the Pier 1 plates have disappeared off their website. I am glad I snagged them when I did. Merry Christmas!
Bonnie Morgan says
Your new Christmas plates are darling. Each has such sweet scenes. I like how you blended all the textures, patterns, and colors. You are quite good at that. Your Fitz and Floyd santas are special and fun.
I’m sure Ella Mae will be scampering about looking for all the sweet treats at the table. It is a joy to have a little one to spoil.
That was very smart of you to use your Lynch Creek Farm centerpiece since it was still fresh and plan your table around it.
Congrats to Carol R. winning the great giveaway.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Bonnie. Wishing you great success as you present your program and tablescapes at the garden club tomorrow! I know it will be excellent!
Michelle says
Hi Pam! I love your Christmas tablescape with all the traditional colors and textures. Your cardinal centerpiece is gorgeous – I wish we had cardinals out here in the west! And your Christmas plates are so adorable! So happy to be hopping with you! Happy Holidays!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Michelle! Have a blessed week!
Cheryl King says
Oh, I love that Post Office plate for the same reason you do! My daddy retired in the 80’s after 30 years of delivering 6 days a week. Christmastime was so much fun as a child, I came home each day eager to see what delights his patrons had left in the mailbox for him! One sweet lady sent a box of Swiss Colony petit fours every year for my entire childhood– I still order them for my family each year because THAT was the apex of Christmas treats in my young mind. Isn’t it funny how our traditions are born? I have a tree ornament our community produced featuring the “OLD POST OFFICE” before they build the “NEW” one in the 1970’s. Sweet memories of happy times. Beautiful table as always.
