“And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.”
Colossians 3:14
Happy Tuesday sweet friends! I am glad that you are here today! Everywhere you look, you can see pink, red, and all things Valentines! Have you made your plans for the holiday of love? Our tradition is to eat at home to avoid the crowds…it makes for a nice little romantic evening, just the two of us!
Typically on Valentine’s Day our table is set for two, but today you are invited to join our softer side of Valentine’s table set for six! And you are in for a real treat…I am joining twenty three bloggers to bring you a Valentine’s Day Tablescape Blog Hop! The lovely Chloe of Celebrate & Decorate is our hostess and you will find loads of inspiration for your Valentine’s table! You can find the links at the bottom of this post.
If you have been following Everyday Living for a while, you will notice this tablescape is quite different for me. I always use lots of red for Valentine’s Day, but I used softer colors with pops of red for a little drama.
The centerpiece is also different than what I normally would do. I filled a dough bowl with moss and added blush and white hydrangeas and the petite red velvet heart made by Hot Skwash. I love its tiny golden crown!
Vintage dessert plates top the plate stack with American Atelier chargers and salad plates, and blush dinner plates! The cream colored table cloth is linen.
This was the easiest centerpiece, I cut the stems of the hydrangeas short and then tucked them into the moss. Can it be any more simple?
You might have noticed that I have used a couple of sweet treats from my Monday Morning Blooms – What’s Not To Love?! coffee table.
Red stemware, gold flatware, and crystal candle stands holding pink candles round out the table!
Mini cupcakes from the grocery store were the perfect little sweet bite!
I changed the centerpiece!!! This pretty little arrangement of lisianthus, alstroemeria, and seeded eucalyptus was also used for Monday Morning Blooms. I just had to move it to the dining room for a few photos.
Do you see another change? I added more red by removing the cream colored salad plates and adding these cranberry plates.
Heart napkin rings hold linen napkins with a carnation tucked into the folds!
One table with two different centerpieces! Which one do you like the best?
Below are the links for lots of tablescape inspiration. Be sure to visit each one so as not to miss anything!

When I was a child, my mother gave me a choice between two sweets and asked me which one I like best. … without hesitation my answer was both! … LOL
That’s my answer to your question …: I really like the two versions. In the center with the hydrangeas is very beautiful, it is elegant and gives a feeling of serenity. The second center is also very pleasant and the touch of the red of the dish accompanies it very well. I think the napkin is great.
A beautiful arrangement for the day of lovers …
Dolores

Queridos Dolores, hiciste una buena elección cuando eras niño. Gracias mi amigo. ¡Espero que tengan un día maravilloso disfrutando de los buenos regalos de Dios! Muchas bendiciones y abrazos, Pam.
Mary says
Beautiful Pam!! I love your dough bowl as a centerpiece with the bed of moss for the hydrangeas. The red velvet heart provides the perfect accent and pop of red, along with your glasses on the table! So many wonderful details on your table from your heart and carnation napkin rings to your pretty plate stack. As always it’s a pleasure to have a virtual seat at your table and blog hop with you. ♥
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Mary?
Ann Krucek says
They are both gorgeous!!! Your softer pallet is just lovely and delicate. I love the textural details on your beautiful chargers and salad plates. Your napkin rings are perfect for the occasion! It is always wonderful to see your fabulous tables on our hops.❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Ann! ?
Rita C. says
Oh my goodness, Pam! I think I’m in love with the more formal (second) look. That arrangement takes center stage and the spotlight on the center of that table! All the while, I kept wondering, “how in the world did she find blush pink hydrangeas?!” Both tables are very pretty, but I have to admit I love the red punches – the more, the better. I bet EM had a blast with all the sweet goodies (not to mention Grandma!).
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, EM ask for the treats as soon as she gets here. My go-florist gets some really pretty blooms. They tend to be a little pricey, but the grocery stores have very little this time of the year. I don’t have a TJ’s or Whole Foods without driving 60 miles to Birmingham!?
Liz @ Home and Gardening With Liz says
This is beautiful Pam. I especially love the femininity of it. Your white dough bowl with the soft hydrangea colors is so sweet and I enjoyed the overall softer look you created. Love the heart napkin rings especially with the carnations tucked in. ❤️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Liz?
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
Two for one, I couldn’t possibly choose!! Both are beautiful, the pastels of the hydrangea bowl with the blush plates is delicate and sweet. The second arrangement with bolder colors is equally beautiful. Great job!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Carole?
Roxanne says
Both tables are equally as gorgeous! I love all the blush pink on the first table, perfect for a ladies luncheon with your dearest girlfriends. And transitioning over from Monday to the dining table created a completely different vibe. A+, dear Pam!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you dear Roxanne!?
Sandra at Maison De Jardin says
Pam, I couldn’t begin to choose. Both are gorgeous, but I find I lean a little toward the first table. To me, the softer look is so romantic. You are amazing !
Happy day to you, my friend! ❤
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Sandra?
the Painted Apron says
Well, you certainly were having fun Pam, switching elements and trying different looks! Which ever centerpiece you choose you have a winner, they are both gorgeous! I love the delicate feeling you have created with the soft pinks and white cloth, pretty china and the little pops of red. Your new Hot Skwash heart is so adorable and I love the heart napkin rings and red stemware too, just enough to say it’s a Valentine occasion!
Jenna
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Jenna! I did have fun mixing it up a little!
marmeladegypsy says
I love your low dish for the centerpiece — a dough bowl? Beautiful and it works so well. And of course the sweet cupcakes and the pinks. Aren’t you glad they make seasonal M&Ms. They make for wonderful decor!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Jeanie, and it is a dough bowl?
Bonnie Morgan says
What a treat to view your gorgeous table. I love the soft pinks and pops of red. Your plate stack, flowers, and candlesticks are luscious. I love the dough bowl as your centerpiece as well as the other arrangement in a teapot. Your napkin and embellishments add the perfect touch. Very creative. It is hard to create different looks time after time but you do it wonderfully.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, it is hard to come up with different looks without spending a fortune. I had everything except the flowers, so that was a win!?
Chloe Crabtree says
Oh my, I don’t know which one of your tables I like better! Each of them have the prettiest little touches! That little heart with the crown is beautiful, but the heart napkin rings…oh, how elegant! It is fun to style a table and then maybe mix it up a little bit, isn’t it? Thank you so much for joining another hop and sharing your table styling talents!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Chloe and for hosting us, you do a great job?
S C Williams says
Beautiful tablescapes Pam! What a treat to have the pleasure of two tablescapes today. I love the first one because of all the soft colors; it is so calming & inviting. The dough bowl with the crowned heart and hydrangeas upon the moss is so soft and romantic. The napkin rings with pink carnations are perfect for the occasion. My favorite dish pattern looks vintage & is the dessert/salad plate that is mint green with the delicate floral pattern & diamond patterned center. The second table is beautiful as well but you captured my heart with the first one. Thank you for a double treat! You have a wonderful gift. Enjoy your day. Clara
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, the little plates are probably considered antiques now. They are Nippon, I only have 5 of them but I do love them. Thank you sweet Clara?
Marsha says
Pam, I am “in love” with your floral centerpiece and beautiful cut crystal candlestick holders. Definitely, a soft and feminine influenced table. I love your use of various textures too with the velvet heart, dough bowl with moss and vintage linen. The elegance of your charger and plates really make it a beautiful table. I can almost hear the romantic music in the background.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Marsha. I love a romantic table!
Kari says
OK! I proclaim that both centerpieces are perfect for your table. I can’t help it…I love both of them. As for the plate stacks…I favor the vintage as it makes me think of Valentine’s Days of yore. I won’t ask to be at your beautiful table, because that is reserved for the quiet romantic evening with your honey. Where did you find those pretty pink hydrangeas? Hugs and Blessings.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Kari. My go-to florist who gets some really pretty flowers had two of them, som8 grabbed them❤️ Hugs
Cecilia says
Your table is so lovely and elegant, Pam. Happy to be joining you on this hop! Blessings, Cecilia @My Thrift Store Addiction

Thanks Cecilia!
Christine says
Dear Pam , You never cease to
amaze me ! Do not ask me to choose … both tables are ultra lovely ! I think the shallow arrangement in the dough bowl is so unique and I may replicate ! You are quite the talented artist in tablescapes ! I’m waiting for a book and I’d have it signed by you … a collection of all your beautiful tables throughout the seasons !
May I ask where you purchased the gold flatware ?
I’ll be searching for velvet hearts …
The candy adds a festive touch . This entire post is a “treat” for me today .
May you have a sweet Valentine’s Day !
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Christine, thanks for your sweet and encouraging comments. The gold flatware came from Wal Mart, can you believe it? It was a couple of years ago, I am not sure if they still have it. Wishing you a beautiful Valentine’s Day?
Belle Bleu Interiors says
Pam, I love them both! Everything looks absolutely gorgeous, and perfect for a special Valentine’s Day dinner. I love the soft colors with red accents…so pretty. I adore those sweet little antique plates. It is always fun blog hopping with you, sweet friend!

Such lovely tablescape. I just love the centerpiece – it’s so soft, pretty, and rustic. I’ll keep it in mind for a white tray I have as I’ll be planning a baby shower for a friend in June.

Debbee says
Pam, both versions of your Valentines table and centerpiece are lovely. If I had to choose, I’d say the understated pink is so sweet. Love your vintage top plate and the entire stack. Are the vintage plates something passed down to you or a fabulous find? Do you know the pattern name?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hi Debbee, thank you. I found the Nippon plates years ago, I only have 5 of them.
Linda says
Pam, both of your table centerpieces are beautiful. I love seeing the different looks. Those red heart napkin rings are gorgeous. The plate stack is so lovely mixed with vintage. Your guests are going to feel so pampered. I think you have inspired many by changing up a few things. A pleasure to join you on this Valentine blog hop.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Linda!
Sarah says
Linda, your table is exquisite. Both centerpieces are wonderful! I added one of the new Hot Skwash hearts this year too. Just too pretty to pass up! I love the silver container for the second centerpiece, so I would have to say it is my favorite. It also looks stunning with the candles! Where did you find the heart napkin rings? They are gorgeous! Thanks for sharing and inspiring!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sarah, thank you so much. The heart napkin rings came from a department store at least 15 years ago, and now they are closed!
Runningonempty says
Well I like both! Looking very pretty.
Cath
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Cath❤️
Carol says
Pam, I love how you used different types of flowers ~ hydrangeas are always a favorite. The red glassware couldn’t be more perfect for celebrating Valentine’s Day. Using M & Ms always adds to the festive feel of Valentine’s Day.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Carol!
Rebecca says
Pam, you really outdid yourself with two different centerpieces! I have to say that I’m partial to the hydrangeas and moss in the white dough bowl. The pink and floral plates give it the shabby chic look that I love. But both tables look lovely! It’s a pleasure joining you on this hop. Happy Valentines Day!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Rebecca!
Sandra @ Dinner at Eight says
Hmmm, hard to choose! I’m voting for the second arrangement. I like the depth of color it has and the change in elevation. Flowers in general add a romantic touch and both of these do that.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Sandra!
Cindy Richter says
Popped over from Bluesky at Home. Love your table. It has the perfect amount of pink and red mixed together and oh my I was drooling over the dishes! But my fave part is this post is the verse at the beginning. Big hugs.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Cindy! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Nancy says
Both versions are stunning!
I am sitting at your table and enjoying the red napkin rings! The centerpiece is delightful! What a pleasure I had sitting in your dining room!❤️?

Pam, I prefer… both! Your tablescape is so romantic, a promise of love and… spring! Love the pink floral palette with the pop of red and gold: a perfect choice for Valentine’s day!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Donna!
Janet says
Well first of all, this table is GORGEOUS no matter which centerpiece is used – I don’t think it’s possible to pick a favorite, but I will say that the silver vessel is traditionally elegant while the dough bowl full of hydrangeas definitely gives it more of an ‘elegant country’ feel – so I suppose which one you use depends on what mood you’re wanting to create. They are both stunning! I love so much about this table… the napkin rings especially caught my eye. 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks for your sweet visit, Janet! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Kim Young -KnockitOffKim says
I love both centerpieces – they are both gorgeous – but given that hydrangeas are my favorite flower, I’d have to go with that arrangement! I love the additional red of the cranberry plates, but loved the simplicity without them. Really, like so many others have said, I think it all depends on your mood! In either case, the napkin rings are one of my favorite elements! Beautiful job on both tables and a Happy Valentine’s Day to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Kim!
amberlyonferguson2017 says
Pam the table setting is lovely with both centerpieces. It’s amazing how just changing out a piece or two can create a whole new look.
