Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon, and stars in their courses above;
Join with all nature in manifold witness,
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy, and love
—Thomas Chisholm
Hello lovely friends! I am thrilled that you are here to help me welcome spring!
The window is open and a warm, delicious little breeze comes wandering in. It smells of magnolias and dogwood and it whispers in our ears enticing little stories of gurgling brooks and cool woods. Yes, we have got spring fever and got it bad. ~Country Life, June 1922
Springtime and azaleas are synonymous! They are considered the quintessential Southern plant. I love them in all colors from hot pink to…
..and purple! According to Southern Living Magazine an obscure federal law passed in 1803 states that all homeowners where azaleas will grow must plant azaleas. Since I try to abide by the law, we have azaleas!
I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.

Farmers are busy planting crops during spring!
Strawberries are in season during spring. A local farm allows you to pick your own or they will pick for you for an additional charge. They are so sweet and juicy straight from the vine!
Wildflowers are plentiful during spring!
A spring hike in the 250 acre wood is always a good idea…
…especially when the wild azaleas are in bloom!
Daffodils, one of the earliest bloomers, are placed in mason jars for a touch of spring on the kitchen island!
Is there a better time to have a tea party than spring?
Our beautiful Noccalula Falls and Park is a treat in any season, but especially spring!
A springtime drive through our historic district is a feast for the eyes!
This is my Father’s world:
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light, the lily white,
Declare their Maker’s praise.
This is my Father’s world:
He shines in all that’s fair;
In the rustling grass I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me everywhere.

A plate of spring: Garganelli Primavera with asparagus, peas, prosciutto, and parmigiana!
Just remember in the winter, far beneath the bitter snows
Lies the seed, that with the sun’s love in the spring becomes the rose
-Gordon Mills

Thank you for the beautiful pictures. Anyone who does not believe in our Lord when spring arrives is not a happy person. How can you not be happy seeing all the beautiful colors of the season.
Thank you Diane and I so agree. His Hand is over all of His creation. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
Happy Spring dear friend! Your captures are stunning! Love love love!
Seeing you in the strawberry field was a treat!
Loved the eggs in the nest…….. ?
Beautiful captures from a beautiful friend! Happy Spring!
PS I’m excited for grand baby #2 for you!! A spring gift for you!
We are definitely on baby watch and we are all excited! Thank you sweet friend ?
A most beautiful tribute to Spring!…I so remember as a child going to the strawberry fields to pick our own strawberries and remember my mom yelling at my brother to not eat the strawberries until she cleaned them…he of course pretended not to hear her!…Love the tidbit about the Azaleas…a good thing I never broke that law! Happy Spring Pam!
Thank you Shirley! Have a beauty-filled day!
You opened with some of the words to one of my favorite hymns, Great Is Thy Faithfulness. There is no better way to start my day than be reminded of this.
I love your pictures today. Because of asthma and allergies I cannot work in my yard. But I can enjoy your garden. Thank you.
Thanks so much Nancy. I understand asthma and allergies, I wrestle with both. I am still able to be outside. I hope the spring season isn’t too bad on you this year! Blessings!
Beautiful spring photos! Happy spring to you!
Thank you Penny, enjoy your day!
Your spring actually looks like spring. We’re just hoping for sun and temps over 30! I might have to go buy some flowers today!
Thank you Jeanie. Treat yourself with flowers!
Lovely, lovely post, Pam. Spring is glorious and brings with it great hope for the beauty of ordinary days. Love all the quotes and every photo. Wishing you an enchanted spring, full of everything and everyone you love, especially the new ‘little one.”
Thank you Sandra. We can’t wait to meet Emma Kennedy?
How wonderful that you are warm enough for your azaleas to be blooming! Ours won’t come out for another month. I am afraid that the buds will have some frost damage again this year. Welcome spring in its beautiful colorful glory!
We had a heavy frost this morning, ugh! Have a beautiful day Carole!
I love waking up to a bright sunny first day of Spring and your beautiful photos have made it even brighter! I am shocked every time I get in my car to see the things in full bloom everywhere! Thanks for the eye candy Pam and Happy Spring!
Jenna
Thank you Jenna. We had a heavy frost this morning, did you?
No, it was in the 30s yesterday but no frost. Heading south on Sat, mid 70s and sunny down there!
Sad to say but it’s going to be awhile before I see pretty blooms around here! I’ll just have to hop over to your blog for my flower eye candy. Have a wonderful week, Pam.
Thank you Katie, enjoy this first day of spring!
Everything is beautiful at your house. Azaleas are the quintessential southern flower. I did not know about that law. Mine were already blooming when I went out of town for nine days and sadly they are gone. I missed their prime but got to spend quality time with my grandschildren, son, and DIL so that is more important.
I love all the songs and poems today welcoming spring. It is a glorious time of the year. Several of my friends already have eggs in their blue bird boxes.
My mind is whirling with all things spring. I have a long list of things I’d like to plant.
Love you in the strawberry patch!
Thank you Bonnie. We had a heavy frost this morning, so I know it will have a huge impact. Have a beautiful day!
God’s paintbrush is everywhere in the Spring. I always love seeing the many different shades of green as the woods come back to life.
Creation points to our Creator for sure! Thank you Roxanne!
Beautiful way to greet the first day of Spring Pam, with your lovely gardens. Your pics are stunning and are not whispering but screaming Spring…..Yay! We are all ready for Spring. God has chosen the most beautiful colors for awakening the rich soil…but He keeps on bringing gorgeous colors for each season. He knows what we need even before we know we need it. Blessings Always my dear friend.
Thank you Kari. I never cease to be amazed at God’s creation! ?
Wow, you want me to get out and take a walk and be in nature!
Go and enjoy Chloe?
Love this cheery post, Pam. I did miss a photo of Ella Mae, however. Happy Spring!
Thank you my friend?
Pam, This makes me so happy! I picked strawberries as a kid & they do taste so much better right off the vine. We adhere to the azalea law too! We have small buds but no blooms yet. The earth waking up with Spring flowers, blooming trees & singing birds is so joyous & welcome this year as it is every year. God sure does give us beauty in nature! Loved each & every picture. Happy Spring Pam! Hope you & EM have a wonderful day! Clara ❤️??
Thank you Clara. We had a heavy frost this morning which is sure to harm my Lady Banks and snowball bushes. God’s creation never ceases to amaze me! Happy Spring ?

So happy to visit with you today, sweet friend. 🙂

I am so glad you are seeing signs of spring!?
Well … spring has arrived and shows us in all its splendor with these beautiful images.
But, dear friend, as I predicted (and I’m not a fortune teller, it’s just experience) the time has changed and I had to put on my winter clothes again: cold, wind and rain, not yet, but soon it will. . .
This nonche will make 1º C (33F). So for the moment I am happy to see the beautiful images they show us, as well as the beautiful words of the quotes that they left us. To love nature is simply to love God.
Happy Spring
Dolores
¡Abrazos!
Spring is popping all around in Houston, and I love every new blossom, bird sound, leafing trees. It is such a season of rebirth.
I love it all!
a very cheery n pretty post indeed!
Thanks so much!
There is no season that gives us more delight and hope, and your presentation captures that essence. Thank you for always lifting our spirits with special beauty.
If, by chance, you would like to also share the recipe for that yummy looking Garganelli Primavera, I would feel doubly blessed!!! ?
Thank you so much Libby. I may do a post on the pasta! Happy Spring ?
Very pretty photos, Pam. That small yellow rose is what we call the banksia rose,a bit confusing as there are banksia plants too, that are very different!
Hi Cath! The small yellow rose is called Lady Banks.
What a gorgeous way to usher in spring Pam! I always enjoy a virtual stroll in your garden or seat at your table. Happy Spring! ???
Thank you Mary. It has been a beautiful day!
Pam, these are beautiful pictures. Surely spring is one of God’s greatest gifts to us.

So much pretty. Thx for sharing
Thank you Gail!
After a cold, wet or snowy winter in many parts of the country, spring is probably the most enjoyed season of the year. I know I always looked forward to the first day of spring in New Hampshire when we lived up north. Your photos are lovely.
Thank you Karen, spring is always a joy!
So much Spring beauty in one spot! What lovely thoughts and photos.
Thank you so much for joining the Grace at Home party at Imparting Grace. I’m featuring you this week!
