“Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.”
Galatians 6:7
Mountain laurel graced our Appalachian hiking trail last weekend!
These blooms look almost like a fancy dessert !
Lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer have arrived!
Moss seems to be fairly common in the temperate rain forest of the Great Smoky Mountains !
A delicious appetizer of flatbread !
I think they are frustrated with people running around with small devices in their hand invading their space!
Foxglove is beautiful but we understand it is also good for the treatment of certain heart conditions. It belongs to the genus Digitalis !
Mr. Glow Worm? Not really but he sure favors the toy of the 80’s ! Actually a caterpillar that will one day be a swallowtail butterfly.
The close of a wonderful day at 5,000 feet!
The close of a peaceful day as seen from above the Coosa River!
”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”.

Thank you Pamela. Have a wonderful Sunday!
Oh what glorious captures! That caterpillar looked just like the Glow Worm of the 80’s! Tooooo cute!
And our sweet Ella and Emma… princesses for sure!
Happy Sunday sweet friend! Thank you for your glorious Sunday Pictures!
Thank you Nancy. I thought the caterpillar was a little spooky😂
Happy Sunday to you and those sweet Princesses! I love green moss and am trying to encourage it in shady areas where my grass just won’t grow. I kept looking at your hiking trail and thinking “leaves of three!”, but it looked mostly like leaves of 5! Several years ago my girlfriends and I took a llama trek on the Appalachian Trail…we each walked a beautiful llama. It culminated in a sitdown lunch atop a high meadow, and the llamas had carried everything including the table and chairs.Your son’s drone pictures continue to be stunning!
Roxanne, I love the memory your shared. Hiking with girl friends and llamas sounds like fun! Have a wonderful week!
Beautiful photos, Pam. The Mountain Laurel is beautiful and I know your trip was as well. The Smoky Mountains are such a magnificent place on our earth. But, the real beauties are your darling Princesses – precious ‘little ones.’
Wishing you and your lovely family a Sunday full of joy.
Thank you Sandra. Wishing you a beauty-filled week!
The many different pictures capture what life brings us, beauty can be found in all of Gods’ creation. From a lowly worm to your two beautiful princesses. Have a blessed day.
Thank you Alice. There is much to be discovered in God’s creation! Have a wonderful week!
Your precious princesses are beautiful! I remember the sweet cuddles of little ones.
Your other pictures are beautiful.
It is so interesting that different varieties of swallowtails all have different caterpillars. Yours looks like perhaps a eastern swallowtail.
Thank you Bonnie. Enjoy the grands this week!
The flowers are beautiful, but not as beautiful as Ella Mae and Emma Kennedy! Emma looks so much like Seth!
Thank you dear friend. Emma does look so much like Seth!
Love the photos and your little princesses are adorable.
Thank you Della, have a most wonderful week!
Pam, The mountain Laurel is so colorful & pretty. The real beauties are your sweet precious girls! Enjoyed all of the pics as they are all so vibrant. Have a great day! Clara ❤️
Thank you dear Clara. Wishing you a wonderful week!
Beautiful photos Pam. Your littles are so cute. I know you must spoil them. Isn’t Mother Nature truly breath taking? Thanks for sharing your adventures. Happy Sunday.
My pleasure and thank you Linda!
for me Sunday is the day I meditate on the goodness that God has given us. Based on this principle, you provide me with the material to be able to thank God for such a beautiful world.
The mountain laurel has never seen it and it is very beautiful …
Nature in its splendor of spring that has already left us but still retains its youth.
And those two gems that are Ella and Emma … My God! They are beautiful, they are very beautiful.
What a beautiful Sunday, thanks Pam and Butch you are two very special people.
Dolores
Abrazos
You are so right! That bloom does look like a dessert! Your little princesses are just so adorable and growing so fast! I’m with the cows….tired of people invading my space with little devices in their hands! LOL! I miss face to face conversation and getting more than a grunt when I ask someone a question! I wish the little devices were never invented and long for the old days!! I know I sound like a grouch so will stop for now. 🙂 Many blessings to you, my friend!
The devices are useful, but they have overtaken our lives. Blessings to you my friend!
Your darling little granddaughters are so beautiful. They have beautiful smiles. I love their names too. My paternal aunts were named Emma and Ella Mae. That’s we’re I got my middle name. Is Kennedy Emma’s middle name? Your other photos are great too.
Carol, thank you so much. Yes, Kennedy is Emma’s middle name. Have a wonderful week!
Both Princess Ela and Princess Emma are so beautiful. Wonderful photos of mountain laurel and foxglove. So much of God’s great creation. God Bless.

Roll out those “lazy-hazy-crazy days of summer” are here for us in eastern NC as well! I so enjoy your Simple + Southern Living post! Your granddaughters really are little princesses…enjoy them while they are young they grow up so fast! I loved your analogy of the mountain laurel to a fancy dessert!
Thank you Linda. Have a wonderful week!

Jennifer

Your Sundays are a feast for the eyes! Thinking of mountain laurel as a dessert triggers my imagination, and always I enjoy seeing the beauty you find in and around your home. Such gifts!
How kind and gracious, many thanks!
Your crown princesses are both looking pretty darned adorable. And as always, loads of lovely beauty here in your Sunday!
Thank you Jeanie, talk care of yourself!

The mountain laurel fancy dessert could be an embroidery with French knots dotting each petal
and the foxglove are just beautiful (one of Tasha Tudor’s favorites) Don’t those adorable little
princesses just make your heart swell with joy and pride? You have been blessed. Bless you
for your Sunday message that always uplifts one’s spirit. Have a grand week, dear Pam & Butch.
Mary, the embroidery sounds so beautiful! I haven’t done any embroidery work in years. I still think it is so lovely and timeless. Blessings on your week!
