“Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
Ephesians 5:1-2
Hello dear friends! We returned late Friday night from a week in Texas. The first couple of days were in Austin where Butch had business. The remainder of the week was for pleasure in the Texas Hill Country, with the majority of our time spent in Fredericksburg! While we were in Texas, our son, daughter-in-love, and two granddaughters were at the beach. The first ten pics are from Texas, the last three are at the beach. Hope you enjoy our week in photos!
This church on Main Street in Fredericksburg, TX was built on a native limestone foundation and dates to 1887.
The Colorado River and Lady Bird Lake in Austin as seen from our room on the 30th floor. Not a bad view!
The Fairmont Austin Hotel offers a neat reflection of sky and passing clouds on a hot summer day.
The Bird of Paradise offers gorgeous blooms this time of year!
When in Austin, BBQ is a must! Our friends, who are locals, knew where to take us to find the best. Not exactly white tablecloth dining but the best brisket we’ve ever had…a white cloth napkin would be destroyed within minutes!
This is probably so true of many of us?
I guess this is the “sheep gate”? This little one took up with Pam and was always close by the fence in front of our rustic cabin!
We were wondering what the original owner of this truck would think about my F-150? We drove the F-150 over 2,000 miles last week and that was challenging…not sure we’d try it in this one.
A nice sunset reflects on Lady Bird Lake. A bat tour boat makes its way toward the Congress Avenue Bridge where over a million bats will take flight when the light fades!
Emma Kennedy loves chillin’ at the beach!
Ella Mae prefers action above chillin’ !
Seth captured this beautiful sunset at Grayton Beach!

Pam, such beautiful photos. The Bird of Paradise is beautiful, I have never seen one before. It looks as though it should be a Caribbean plant.
The photos of the girls are always a favorite for me. Miss Emma Kennedy is really growing. She looks like she is a happy little soul. I am sure Ella Mae had a wonderful time, she is a perfect age for sandcastles. And your son has your talent for sunsets, the one he captured is gorgeous. Dear friend, wishing you and your family a beautiful day and week ahead.❤
Thank you dear Sandra! Emma is really a happy baby. Have a wonderful week!
Loved all these pics! The sunsets are beautiful 🙂
Thank you Maggie for stopping by!

Sounds and looked to be a great for everyone! But it’s always good to be home too. Happy Sunday.
Thank you Rita! Have a wonderful week!
Pam, What a wonderful set of travel pictures from Austin & the beach! A mini vacation for us! The water shots are relaxing. The little sheep made me smile as did the “change” plaque-how true! The bird of paradise was so colorful & the cloud reflections pic was great! Your princesses are little dolls! EK is so precious & just makes you want to hold her. She has really grown! EM is ready to play & her pic has you ready to kick off your shoes & head for the water! She has such an infectious smile! I’m ready for brisket now! Lol Have a relaxing Sunday my friend; after all that traveling it’s always good to be home! Clara 💕
Thank you dearest Clara, you always make my day with your comments. Have a lovely week!
Dear Pam, I so enjoyed this post, especially since I’m from Texas! Lol! Loved looking at all your pictures! Did you get to visit Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center? If you haven’t maybe next time, it’s a beautiful place to visit. Be blessed! 😉
Thanks so much Elizabeth. I didn’t make it to Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, hopefully next time.
Pam these are beautiful photos. Ella Mae and Emma are cuties.
Marilyn

Marion
Aw, thanks so much Marion!
Thanks Butch and Pam. Looks like a great trip. Love the girls pics. Both are growing fast. I know they mean the world to you.
It’s fun to have a change of scenery. We drove that distance four times last year to Texas. Thanks for sharing.
We are now at Cape San Blas for family vacation. We usually go to St George Island so it’s different this year. Lots of visible hurricane damage.
Thanks Bonnie, have a great vacation and enjoy the beach!
Wonderful pictures, Butch and Pam! That was a lot of miles to travel, but it looks like it was worth it…especially for the BBQ. Seth’s sunset picture is stunning. I don’t remember a summer with so many pink sunsets. I had just gotten back from my hometown of Charleston for a few days when I got an emergency call last night my sister was admitted to the hospital from the ER…golf ball size kidney and kidney infection that will require surgery. I drove back down at first light, she and I are only surviving members of our family and she is single. Prayers appreciated.
Roxanne, I am so sorry to read about your sister. I will be praying for her and you. I know that you two are very close. Please keep me posted, love and hugs!
Many thanks for journeying us to Texas, Pam dear… what splendid photos… Ella Mae and Emma K really got into the beach spirit…bathing beauties, both. After that long trip, I wager you
and Butch are gratified to be back in your lovely nest. Have a grand week. Prayers for Roxanne’s Sister …..
Thanks so much Mary, it was so good to get back home. Thanks so much for praying for Roxanne’s sister. I feel like my readers are family and we pray for each other. Blessings dear one!

Jennifer
I am so happy you got to spend time in Texas Hill Country! We enjoy it every time we head that way.
Your pictures are gorgeous! But the Mexican Bird of Paradise is a favorite! We have two bushes in our yard in Arizona.

What a beautiful getaway. I have never been to Austin.I heard bbq is the best there. The sheep look so cute. I have a soft spot for critters. The water shots plus the florals are lovely. Your littles are growing so fast. What special times and memories in the making.
Thank you Linda. The brisket was fabulous!
While we were in Cleveland for the memorial we met a couple from Fredricksburg who raise goats! It’s a spot in that state I’ve always wanted to visit — looks lovely!
You would love it Jeanie!
