Hay and yellow mums are a fall staple. If the mums only lasted a bit longer!
Even a view from beside the porch reveals that fall must be here (in spite of continued record high temps)!
It appears the zinnias will be with us until frost. They’ve needed very little attention other than a lot of sprinkler time! However, we were surprised Friday evening by a very welcome rain shower.
Miss blue eyes is now 6 months old and becoming an active little sister!
A newcomer to the garden last week!
Magnolias offer so many unique shapes, colors, and forms as the season progresses…
…all a part of the circle of life!
Hard to believe these trees will soon be bare and the shadows will fade.
We discovered quite a number of red spider lilies have suddenly popped up in various places around the house!
God’s handiwork bids farewell to another beautiful day!

Dear Pam, such a beautiful post. I love the opening scripture, it certainly speaks to our current world. “Miss Blue Eyes,” is a pretty baby girl. She and Ella Mae will have such fun together. We just cut down our zinnias, they were looking quite tired and worn from the heat, as is everything. We had all sorts of lighting and thunder last night and not one drop of rain. My neighbor in VA had red spider lilies and I always admired them. And beautiful magnolias, like yours, were every where down there. I do miss them.
Wishing you and yours a beautiful day. Many blessings to all. β€

The lightning and thunder gets your hopes up. The leaves on our zinnias are tired, but they are still providing beautiful and abundant blooms!

Lovely fall photos, and I can’t believe the baby is already 6 months old, you are going to have your hands full soon! I bet Ella Mae will be a good helper with her baby sis! I think it’s going to be summer forever…yesterday we thumbed our nose at the temps and set up a tent on our patio with 2 huge fans and watched the game outside!! Needless to say, we are looking forward to fires in the fireplace rather than fans! I hope you have a lovely special Sunday…

It is hard to believe it is the end of September. Your parade of pumpkins is impressive.
Love the spider lilies. A few of mine were blooming when we left for Texas so I probably have missed all of them blooming but I have had a wonderful time with our family.
Baby sister is adorable and has grown so much. I am having a senior moment and can’t think of her sweet name!
We are in a drought in south Alabama. No rain for six weeks.
Happy Sunday.

How I rejoice in your Sunday Scriptures and photos ~ Like so many, I am placed in Sabbath peace by the spirit of it all. Little Emma is looking like little Miss Gravitas…that old soul born into the wonder of her Grandparents’ garden; still taking it all in….where has she seen such before…
she will remember…. Just love the new addition to the garden…who could resist bringing him home to stay? The magnolias and red spider lilies punctuate with their bursts of crimson and remind us of His many gifts of beauty. Bless you both for this Sunday hymn, dear ones…..

Thank you Mary. Butch surprised me with the rooster for an early birthday present!

Thatβs a lot of pumpkins! Here, itβs the opposite season, so our chickens have finished off the last pumpkin, a bit the worse for sitting around, that hubby threw onto the compost pile. I think they will have spread the seeds everywhere, O -oh! They can take over!
Baby looks like Ella Mae of course. Same look of concentration.

Hi Pam! Happy Monday! I was just thinking of that verse last night … to see it here this morning is such a grace-filled encouragement.
May God help us live those truths out …

Iβm entire day late commenting, but the scripture and photos are still powerful. Emma looks wise beyond her years, or should I say months! Christmas will be so much fun at your house this year! I love the new rooster addition, he looks quite handsome Iβve loved spider lilies since I was a child. 95 degrees again today, but we got a very brief shower.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Roxanne, any rain is welcome even brief! We are supposed to start cooling down by Sunday, I certainly hope so. Have a wonderful week!

The seasons come and go so quickly, it seems! I must be getting old, but is time going by quicker than it used to? I can’t believe that sweet little one is already six months old, either! She is just adorable! God bless you, sweet friend. π

Zinnias have done well for you and I! I just love them! I have some 5 ft tall!
Sending mid week hugs to you!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hugs back at you my friend. I think some of my zinnias are between 7 – 8 feet tall. I canβt even photograph the blooms. Emma is crawling everywhere and trying to pull up, I will need running shoes to keep up with her.
