“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”
Proverbs 17:22
Hello sweet friends! I hope all of you are finally enjoying some beautiful autumn weather. I am joining a group of creative table stylists to bring you a week-long Halloween Tablescape Hop hosted by the talented Chloe @ Celebrate & Decorate. I am at the picnic table with no tricks, just sweet treats!
I have loved setting tables for more years than I can count…
…Everyday Living even began as a place to share tablescapes and over the past five years there have been more than 250 tablescapes. But I must confess that today is a first…it is my very first Halloween tablescape!!!
You will find all of the links for Halloween tablescape inspiration at the bottom of this post.
I decided it was time to get in on a little Halloween fun!
My three year old granddaughter was the inspiration for this table filled with treats, not scary but sweet!
EM loves to have lunch at the picnic table and it was fall ready with hay bales and pumpkins in place. A spider web tablecloth, ordered from Amazon, was placed over a white cloth chosen from my stack of table linens.
The pumpkin color dinner plates were in my dish pantry, but I needed some fun Halloween themed salad plates. These cute melamine plates were found at TJ Maxx.
Twig flatware joined with orange/black check napkins and spider napkin rings!
Candy corn and a tin of peanut butter kisses, mini Hershey’s bars, Reese’s peanut butter cups…
…and tootsie rolls will definitely please a sweet tooth!
“There is a child in everyone of us who is still a trick-or-treater looking for a brightly lit front porch.”
-Robert Brault
Gummy bears (an EM favorite) and Faygo orange drink!
My idea was to keep the table fun and light-hearted for a three year old. Baby sister is only six months old so she is unaware of Halloween. They both will be dressed as princesses for trick-or-treat!
I will be updating the links daily, you will not want to miss any of these fun tablescapes!

Pam, Your Halloween table is a delight for the young and young at heart! I cackled with glee when I saw your name on the Halloween blog hop list this year. I know Emma Mae must have gotten a kick out of your table and will enjoy dining on those cute plates! Love the spidery web cloth, especially with the sunlight highlighting the design over the ghostly white sheet. Your smiling Jack finial makes an adorable centerpiece! 🎃🕸️🍬🕷️
Thank you Mary. I loved Halloween as a child, but not so much as an adult. We have had two trick-or-treaters in 40 years of living in the country! But it is easier to get excited with two little princess granddaughters! 🎃
Pam, this was my first Halloween tablescape too! I love how you kept yours child friendly, knowing your girls would be with you. I’ll bet EM was very excited with this with all the candies, orange drinks and just enough “boo” factor in those cute plates. Kids get so ridiculously excited for this holiday. I wish I could say the same, but it’s just not my normal cup of tea.i love your backdrop of the outdoors with the hay bales and pumpkins, perfect. Your spider cloth looks terrific draped over the table, especially the sides! It was a treat joining with you on this hop.
I think you and I have the same feeling about Halloween! But, I have to admit I had fun with the table and I am rationing candy for EM!
Pam, I have delightful memories of our school’s Halloween Carnival with hay rides, bobbing for apples, country store, cake walk and many other activities. Trick or Treating was also so exciting. Your table has to be so much fun for Ella Mae with all the cute candy and decorations. You have created a tablescape that gives young and old alike that child like wonder.
Thank you Bonnie. I have those same wonderful memories from childhood!
Happy Halloween, Pam! I love your table and all the goodies. Especially the candy corn, my favorite. Ella Mae must love your table too and she is just the perfect ‘dress up’ age. Your picnic table makes the perfect Haloween table. Happy day to you, my friend.
Thank you Sandra, I am daily rationing candy to Ella Mae!
Aw, Pam, you did an outstanding job…Ella Mae must have been thrilled! Please get photos of the little princesses for us. I love the spider web tablecloth. And the white hobnail glasses are really lovely, but I’ve never heard of that orange drink! The only downside to living in the country for 25 years is that we never get trick or treaters. I used to enjoy dressing up to hand out candy when we were city dwellers!
Roxanne, we have had two trick-or-treaters in 40 years. I had never heard of Faygo, but they have been in business for over a hundred years. I enjoyed drinking a glass after I photographed!
I would never guess this was your first Halloween tablescape. It’s perfect with the combination of orange and black. Candy corn and peanut butter kisses along with your assortment of candy favorites on display are perfect for a kid friendly table. I love everything about this including that it is outside! No doubt your grandchildren enjoyed sipping the orange drink and climbing on the hay bales. All the Fall feels. I love it.
Thank you Shirley. I had fun setting it up!
I can just imagine the delight in EM’s eyes when she saw this table! So many tasty treats! It’s so cute! Your first Halloween table is a big hit! Love the buffalo checked napkins & the spider web tablecloth. Those salad plates are perfect for a child & them being melamine is even better since the girls can enjoy eating snacks off of them without worrying about them breaking. Have a wonderful day sweet Pam! Clara ❤️
Thank you dear Clara. I am rationing the sweets, she could eat them all!
What a creepy and fun table, Pam! Have fun with your princesses!
Thank you Carole!
So cute and fun Pam, I know Ella Mae was clapping with delight! Perfect for a child of any age as I agree with Robert Brault, there is a trick or treating child in all of us 🙂 LOVE the spider web cloth you found and the cute painted Trick or Treat pumpkins. Plus the outdoor setting this time of year is fantastic!! You are set for many Halloweens to come! 🎃
Jenna
Thank you Jenna. I loved Halloween as a child, but it was so different then.
What a fun table. I am sure your granddaughter loves it! I am so glad you chose to join us for Halloween, you certainly did a great job bringing the sweet side of the holiday to the table! The outdoor setting for your table is the perfect place to host a get together during the warm October days.
Thank you Chloe, it is fun to join!
Pam, this tablescape is adorable! The cute jack-o-latern and darling Halloween plates are perfect for creating a fun table. I know Ella Mae must of enjoyed this fun setting and all of the sweet treats! Happy Tuesday, sweet friend!!!
Shannon, thank you. I am rationing the candy, she would make herself sick eating too much. Have a wonderful day!
Pam, I sure do like this table. Fun, not scary and so inviting! It’s just too darn cute! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Thank you Cindy!
Adorable table! So fun and inviting! How Happy,I would love to be there!Hugs!
Maristella, it would be so much fun to have you!
Pam, I can see why your granddaughters would be very excited over Halloween by the cute outdoor tablescape designed with Dracula salad plates, jack o’ lantern centerpiece, spider web tablecloth and plenty of fun candy. I love seeing that your table was set outside in the beautiful surroundings. Although I do not have grandchildren, I am sure that this fun has created many fond memories for them to cherish for many years. As always, it is a pleasure to blog hop with you. Happy Halloween.
Thank you so much Marsha! I enjoyed setting up my first Halloween table!
Love this!! I stopped decorating for Halloween when my kids grew up. I’m sure I’ll start again when grand kids come along some day!
Thank you Stacy, only for the granddaughters!
So very cute and perfect for little ones like Ella Mae. i am sure she is thrilled with seeing all of the candy…LOL The salad plates are darling. Love the spider web covering. Beautiful setting for this fun table in your gardens. I missed getting the twig flatware. A unique touch to the table. Kudos on your very first Halloween table. A pleasure joining you Pam.
Thank you so much Linda!
I realize that you have not forgotten a single detail to put on this table so cheerful and fun. There are frankly delicious details like the cobweb tablecloth, it’s beautiful! Everything is perfect…
It will be a fun day for Ella Mae and her beautiful little sister.
Happy Hallowenn days.
Dolores
Abrazos
Pam, your tablescape IS sweet, and I am sure Grand will be delighted! Blessings, Cecilia @ My Thrift Store Addiction
Thanks so much Cecilia!
Oh Pam! I! LOVE! IT! Em really is going to have fun at the Picnic Table today! What sweet will she eat first? The Gummi Bears I bet!
I love how it’s fun and not scary! That is so important. I was an early childhood teacher before I retired. Let’s just say… the little ones got quite frightened with “The Scary!” Everything here is just fun and colorful and perfect! Love it!
Now that I’m in Arizona… it takes me a while to comment on blogs. Soon the time change will occur and it will be only 2 hours difference. It’s 3 hours right now. (We don’t change our clocks here in AZ… while everyone else does.)
Happy Tuesday! 🧡🖤 🎃🖤🧡
Thank you Nancy. I have never been able to keep Arizona time straight in my mind. I am on central time, so you are currently two hours behind me??
Oh… central time. Then we will be one hour apart when the time changes.
🎃🎃🎃
It’s adorable! She can just trick or treat around your table! I love the candy corn in the soda glasses. I’m not a huge candy corn fan (though once you start eating it, you’re stuck eating the whole of it!) but it’s so pretty for table decoration and the various sizes of glass make it so interesting. She’ll love it. And if she doesn’t, well, I do!
I am rationing candy, Jeanie. She loves candy corn and well all of it!
All sweet, tempting treats and no terrifying tricks at your fun and fearless tablescape. Can’t believe it’s your first Halloween table! Love those plates, especially friendly Frankenstein. And, how lucky you are to be able to set an outdoor picnic!
Thank you Debbee!
Awwwww…. so darling…. I love those mini pumpkin candy treats…please? The web table cover
sets the mood so well. EM is going to have a great time taste testing…… The entire tablescape is spot on for a fun Halloween without a scary creature in sight….
Hi Mary, I am rationing candy. EM could eat it all….thank you sweet friend!
Very cute, Pam!
Have to share with the daughter-in-law and daughter having Halloween parties for the munchkins!
Thank you sweet friend 🎃🎃🎃
You’ve used Halloween as a very fun inspiration for your table, and your garden is the perfect backdrop. Ella Mae must love all that is there and it won’t be long until her little sister will also get a kick out of what you do.
As you know, granddaughters are so much fun! Thank you Linda.
Pam I love your Halloween table. the candy in the jars.
Marilyn
Thanks so much Marilyn!
Everything looks ready for Halloween. The orange and black napkins are pretty.
Marion
Thank you Marion!
Oh how Ella Mae is going to love this table! Of course love your garden setting. You had me at candy corn!!
I love candy corn, thank you Shirley!
I love how the orange faygo pop looks in the white goblets! I can only imagine how much little EM enjoyed sitting there at such a fun and festive table! God bless you, sweet friend. 🙂
God bless you Cheryl, thank you for your sweet visits!
Pam, you have styled such a fun Halloween table perfect for the young, and the young at heart! It definitely speaks to my love of all things sweet!! I love the melamine salad plates. So cute….and melamine is perfect for the youngsters! We don’t have Faygo orange pop here in Canada, and whenever I pop over to the States, I always buy some to bring home! Such a pleasure sharing in this blog hop with you 🙂
Thank you Maureen. It is always a pleasure blog hopping with you!
Love the tablescape, really cool! It is cute and kid friendly 🙂 I have never heard of Faygo before, is it like a soda or a juice? It does make a great contrast for the table.
You have knocked the Halloween tablescape out of the park to make it 251 fabulous tables!!! I love every detail, every piece of decor, dish and candy!! So inspiring!
Kristin, you are a sweetheart…thanks so much!
Ooh I love this! Love those cute dishes and the candy filled glasses! That Fargo orange pop looks so good in those white goblets! For a first timer doing a Halloween table you sure created a great one!
*Faygo
Thank you Liz. The Faygo orange pop is quite delicious!
Your table makes me smile. Although I am not a fan of Halloween it was fun to create my first Halloween table too. I love yours, it feels fun and festive and having it outside makes it all the more special. Pinned and it is a pleasure to be on the hop with you my friend. Hugs!
Thank you sweet Katherine!
Your table is absolutely darling Pam, and it captures the “sweetness” of Halloween perfectly! Your little princesses will love it!
Thanks so much Amber!
Pam, my six year old daughter would go crazy for this! I can’t believe it’s your first Halloween tablescape. You nailed it! LOVE the orange and black buffalo check napkins and the white hobnail glasses. The outdoor setting is just lovely. It’s so fun hopping with you!
Thank you Rebecca!
