“And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands.
This he set aside, nailing it to the cross”
Colossians 2:13-14
As we enter Holy Week, we are faced with two events that changed all of history…the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our thoughts and attention are focused on his brutal death on Good Friday, and shifted over to the one thing that gives us life…the resurrection of Jesus Christ, where sin is forever defeated! It seems as though creation rejoices with us as we look around to see the Bradford Pear trees exploding with white blooms, the forsythia’s golden stems of sunshine, and the daffodil’s happy faces! As these things bring forth beauty and new life to our earth, may the new life we have been given in Christ be pleasing as we offer ourselves back to Him!
I love the bright sunny color of the forsythia and wanted to use it on a tablescape before the blooms were gone!
