“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth,
visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or
authorities—all things were created through him and for him.
And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together”
Colossians 1:16-17
We always enjoy putting together our weekly “Simple + Southern Sunday”! It makes us keep our eyes open to the wonder of everyday living!
We hope that you will be reminded daily of God’s goodness!
Small but beautiful Anglican Church near Butch’s office!!
The brave turkeys of Turkeytown. A group of 5 gobblers have been recent regulars in our back pasture, turning up their beaks in defiance of Thanksgiving. They keep an eye on us and aren’t fond of posing for photos.
Seth and Allie all dressed up–only in the South can you have an outdoor wedding in late November!
Seth made these rustic & elegant antler candle holders for me for my birthday! The antlers were from a deer that Butch killed about eight years ago. I always love a gift that has been hand-made and these are one of my all-time favorites. You will most definitely be seeing these on Christmas tablescapes!
Our friend, Tyler who is on mission in Cambridge, England captured this photo. The wall and doors are on the campus of Sidney Sussex College on Jesus Lane.
Virginia decided to paint her lips with her Mother’s pink lip gloss!! I think she did a great job!!
Orange Cranberry Apple Salad– be sure to see the recipe at the bottom!
You can’t get more southern than this–dried okra pods painted with a Santa face! Aren’t they the cutest ornaments?!
“Would someone please open the door?”
Look who was spotted at Gadsden Variety yesterday! See tomorrow’s post for more about our hometown!
