“Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord:
though your sins are like scarlet,
they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson,
they shall become like wool”
Isaiah 1:18
Snow is a rare occurrence in the Appalachian foothills of northeast Alabama…so, please indulge us as we are beyond excited to share the snow edition of Simple + Southern Sunday! As beautiful and peaceful as it is, we are thrilled that snow is not a part of our everyday living!
On the drive home last Tuesday, I had to get a photo of these guys and girls on the snow with their red barn!
A winter evening graces a beautiful church near the center of town!
Train trestle covered with snow over the Coosa River is a rare sight!
Katy had a perfect view of historic downtown!
An empty Broad Street Bridge! Not a normal afternoon!!
The gazebo in downtown near City Hall is also quiet and peaceful.
Hot chocolate with loads of peppermint marshmallows in a flower box overlooking Court Street!
Baby Harper’s first snow. Isn’t she a doll?
The pastures of Blackberry Farm during our visit last week!
The Main House at Blackberry looking pristine!
So tranquil at the farm!
Gate entrance to our cottage! Couldn’t have been more perfect!
One more view of the beauty of Blackberry Farm
Back home as the sun rises over our pasture behind our rose trellis. All wearing a soft white blanket.
Trees dressed in their winter attire!
Our always changing view of the mountain! In every season, these Appalachian foothills display beauty!
“I was glad when they said to me,
‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’”
Psalm 122:1

Gorgeous photo’s! I was wondering what camera you have? Have a wonderful week! <3
Pam Richardson says
Joy, you are more than kind since you are a photographer. We have a nice Canon (would have to ask my husband), but all of these photos were taken with an IPhone 5 and 6. I am technically challenged and I can use my IPhone when I can’t figure out a real camera as my son says! Blessings, Pam

Pretty indeed.
Here at the LakeHouse it can get up to 3-4 ft. We come in early December but quickly leave again because we have forgotten how to drive in it!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I wouldn’t want to have to deal with 3-4 feet. Yikes!
