“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
1 Corinthians 2:2
Welcome to the post that is all about guest bedrooms! Why? I’m glad you asked! In a few weeks, we are beginning projects that I have put off for a while…and I am taking you, my readers, along for the entire journey! So, what will this journey look like? I have two guest rooms and both will be completely transformed! The smallest will soon be a study/library…finally a permanent place for all of my many books! I want to pull up the carpet and install hardwood, change the paint color, add built in bookcases on one wall, and finish it off with two comfortable reading chairs! I can hardly wait! The other guest room will get hardwood, new paint, new bedding and window treatments! Whew! Writing that makes me tired, and this may take a while to accomplish…but it’s time to get started… I have put it off way too long! I hope you will follow along as we share updates. Today I am sharing some inspiration from my Pinterest board “Beauty Sleep“!

Hard to pick a favorite. They are all beautiful! I’m redoing a guest bedroom so I need some inspiration!
Karen, what are your plans for your guest room? We had a contractor supposed to be here today at 5, and he didn’t show or call…I am amazed that people apparently don’t need or want to work! I expected it, I worked with them for years as a decorator! Blessings, Pam
These are truly beautiful rooms! Great inspiration!
Thanks so much, I could enjoy any of them! Blessings, Pam
Guest rooms are so fun because you don’t have to live in them and your guests only have to for a short time. You’ve got some beauties here! This next guest room for me I’m doing twin beds. I’ve never done that before so I’m looking forward to it.
Lisa, I think twin beds are a great choice for a guest room! Happy Sunday!
I’m tired just thinking of doing your projects! (Maybe because I’m headed outside to tackle some bush whacking and weed pulling!) Like you, my favorites are the rooms with books. They add such warmth to a room. I look forward to following your progress. Please share all the juicy details. 🙂
Kim, thanks! We had an appointment set for 5 on Thursday for a contractor to come and look, he didn’t show or call! I just have never understood why people do that!
Without a doubt I’d choose #9! Love the soft sunny yellow and the 4 poster bed.
Thanks for sharing this gorgeous inspiration at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. 🙂
Stacey, the soft sunny yellow always works for me! Thanks!
5, 12 and 13. Love the canopy and the toile. Couldn’t make one choice.
Alice, I am thinking I want to use toile…I have always loved it!
I will eagerly await your new rooms and following the process. You are a busy lady.
Bonnie, I am deciding on colors and fabrics! Fabric is always fun to choose!
How exciting to be starting a new project, or “projects” to be more exact! Can’t wait to see the results!
Leslie Anne, I don’t look forward to the mess of a project, but look forward to the finished product!
I can’t pick a favorite. Think I could be happy in almost any of these rooms! How wonderful to have two rooms to makeover!
Jean, thanks! I agree it is hard to pick a favorite! Have a joy-filled week!
Well, like many others, I can’t pick a favorite, they are all lovely. I look forward to following along on this journey.
Lea, I can’t really pick a favorite! Hopefully starting our project soon! Have a joy-filled week!
WOW! Thank you for all the inspiration! I’m sharing this post for sure! I hope you have a great weekend!

I am pinning this for the wonderful inspiration. I also need to spruce up my guest room and there are some great ideas. I love the one with the built in bookcases.

Great inspiration and hard to choose a favorite! Love the blue for a master (15), 17 and 20 for guests but really love them all.

Cindy, thanks so much for being such a gracious host! Happy Easter!
1 & 4. Just put a fresh coat of paint on the walls in my guest room and boy what a difference it makes. Can’t wait to see how yours turns out!
Wow, you are ahead of me! Hope to get started in a couple of weeks! Happy Easter!

Thanks for the great opportunity to snare with SYC!
Such beautiful bedroom inspiration!! I like the bedrooms with the blue hues the best for some reason.
I also love the blue spaces…thanks Angelina!
I know this is a late comment. Seven and fourteen seem to be the same space. I pinned both! I love the height of those lamps.
Bonnie, you are right they are the same space. Aren’t the lamps beautiful?
