“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.”
1 Corinthians 2:2
Welcome to the post that is all about guest bedrooms! Why? I’m glad you asked! In a few weeks, we are beginning projects that I have put off for a while…and I am taking you, my readers, along for the entire journey! So, what will this journey look like? I have two guest rooms and both will be completely transformed! The smallest will soon be a study/library…finally a permanent place for all of my many books! I want to pull up the carpet and install hardwood, change the paint color, add built in bookcases on one wall, and finish it off with two comfortable reading chairs! I can hardly wait! The other guest room will get hardwood, new paint, new bedding and window treatments! Whew! Writing that makes me tired, and this may take a while to accomplish…but it’s time to get started… I have put it off way too long! I hope you will follow along as we share updates. Today I am sharing some inspiration from my Pinterest board “Beauty Sleep“!

Hard to pick a favorite. They are all beautiful! I’m redoing a guest bedroom so I need some inspiration!
Everyday Living says
Karen, what are your plans for your guest room? We had a contractor supposed to be here today at 5, and he didn’t show or call…I am amazed that people apparently don’t need or want to work! I expected it, I worked with them for years as a decorator! Blessings, Pam

Guest rooms are so fun because you don’t have to live in them and your guests only have to for a short time. You’ve got some beauties here! This next guest room for me I’m doing twin beds. I’ve never done that before so I’m looking forward to it.
Everyday Living says
Lisa, I think twin beds are a great choice for a guest room! Happy Sunday!
Kim says
I’m tired just thinking of doing your projects! (Maybe because I’m headed outside to tackle some bush whacking and weed pulling!) Like you, my favorites are the rooms with books. They add such warmth to a room. I look forward to following your progress. Please share all the juicy details. 🙂
Everyday Living says
Kim, thanks! We had an appointment set for 5 on Thursday for a contractor to come and look, he didn’t show or call! I just have never understood why people do that!
Stacey says
Without a doubt I’d choose #9! Love the soft sunny yellow and the 4 poster bed.
