“Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
1 John 4:11
I love tablescaping in the garden for so many reasons, mainly because it is so easy compared to one inside! The backdrop of God’s creation provides so much to see and enjoy…the table becomes secondary! After a couple of showers Saturday afternoon, the rain stopped and I took advantage of the clouds to have a little fun setting this impromptu table! The humidity was high, but I survived and wilted only briefly! I guess you can say it was the bright spot in my day! I hope it is for you, too!
This setting does not take itself too serious, it is just a fun table for four!
I cut the flowers for the centerpiece while setting the table…no arranging, just how they landed in the chartreuse vase!
The lemon napkin rings add a little more punch to the table!

The colorful tablecloth was a purchase last year from TJ Maxx!
I found the plates at Tuesday Morning last summer. The placemats are a few years old and came from TJ Maxx!
The glasses are a festive addition and a favorite of mine!
Ornamental grass adds a textural backdrop for the table!

I love your garden backdrop on this bright tablescape, Pam! As if the lead photo with the crape myrtle & hydrangea weren’t enough….then the ornamental grasses made it appear as though fireworks were going off! There is nothing more satisfying than witnessing the beauty unfold in a garden in which we toil, is there?! This has been a stellar year for gardening from every region I’ve seen posts, and yours certainly seems to be at peak beauty now.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, thanks so much! The garden has certainly been a labor of love, but it has been so pretty this year. Over the past week, we have gotten much needed rain and I am thankful! Wishing you a lovely Tuesday!

Yes, Bonnie anything outdoors during our hot and humid Summer’s will bring about wilting. I really don’t like being all dressed up and having to be outdoors! Thanks!

Fabulous! You hit a home run here. I am always in favor of using a plain charger or placemat when the tablecloth is this busy, and you found some great ones with lots of spunk. It’s all so perfect and full of joy!

Beautiful table with a drop dead gorgeous background. I have been so busy working on my “background – backyard” that I am yearning to do a beautiful outdoor table. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Marie says
The perfect summer table. The colors just capture the eye and convey a sense of happy innocence. How wonderful that you have flowers in your yard to cut for the centerpiece! There is nothing like a true garden bouquet. You don’t mention a source for the lemon napkin rings, were they a recent find? I have been wanting to “do” a lemon themed table with a lovely Kate Spade tablecloth that I couldn’t resist and those napkin rings would be just right. Thank you for sharing your tables. MM
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Marie, thanks so much! The lemon napkin rings were on sale for 80% off a few months ago at Sur la Table! I couldn’t resist!
