“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.”
Jeremiah 17:7
Have you all noticed how much I love color? I like it in my wardrobe, in my home, and of course on my tables! I’m just a big fan of color! But sometime it’s fun and even necessary to change things up a bit! This past weekend, on a whim, I decided to do something totally different for this week’s tablescape. I put away the color, and let the white and gold take over for a more elegant look and feel. Butch (Renaissance Man) and I put a lot of work and effort into this one, but in the end, it was worth all of the sweat drops and trips to and from the kitchen! Step into our garden and join us for an “elegant evening”!
An elegant tablesetting called for the dining room chairs to be moved into the garden…they are so heavy and that is when Butch had to step in and rescue this damsel in distress!
*
Limelight and vanilla-strawberry hydrangeas are blooming, so they were my obvious choice for the centerpiece.
The white china was purchased last year at the Longest Yard Sale…it has a beautiful gold band around each piece.
The napkin rings are Christmas ornaments purchased last year at 80% off. I love a little bling!
I spotted a pair of vases a few years ago at Tuesday Morning and immediately loved them, but they were ridiculously high. I waited patiently for them to go on sale and finally one day I walked in and there was only one and it was marked down at a big reduction! I didn’t think twice, I bought it and it is the star of this table!

So pretty, Pam. Obviously, someone was letting go a wonderful set – likely wedding – of china at the LYS {sigh}. I’m glad you rescued it. All the other elements are very complimentary, beautiful. What a blogger (and a partner in crime) won’t do for the wow! factor. You did it! 😉
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Rita, I think I paid $30 for the complete set of dinner, salad, butter plates and cups and saucers service for 8…I really didn’t need it, but how could I resist? Have a joy-filled Tuesday!

Your table is stunning with the beautiful hydrangea backdrop! What a great idea – and a lot of work. But, it was so worth it! This may actually be my new favorite of yours. That china is gorgeous, too. I’ve always wanted to go to that yard sale, but I never know when it is until it’s already over. I can’t wait to see what you come up with for next week’s tablescape feature! 🙂
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Aw, Kim thanks so much. I think I paid $30 for the complete set! There are great buys at the yard sale, but huge crowds and usually extreme heat, ugh! Happy Tuesday!
cindy says
Pam, your table is beautiful. Love your china and those napkin rings are precious! I know I have said it before but must say again…you have a beautiful outside area. So full and luscious and perfect for outside dining. Oh if the heat wasn’t so horrid I would surely love to do more outside dining. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Cindy, you have a beautiful gift of encouragement! Thank you, my friend!

Stunning Pam! I can’t believe how fabulous your dining room chairs look in your garden, thanks Butch 🙂 The grasses make such a perfect backdrop, so beautiful! I am a color person too, but I really love this serene setting of gold and white. The glam is such a fun contrast to the outdoor garden!

Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jenna, you are so sweet! I am not sure I can do many more tablescapes outside if this heat doesn’t break!
Shannon@Belle Bleu Interiors says
This is absolutely stunning! I love that you brought your elegant dining chairs outside. That is such a special touch. Your flower garden in the background makes the perfect backdrop. The vase that you bought at Tuesday Morning is gorgeous! It makes the perfect centerpiece to your elegant table. The china with gold accents around the edges set off by the gold chargers looks beautiful. I love tablescaping, and I always look forward to seeing your tablescapes.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Shannon, thanks so much for your sweet words. Hopefully the heat will break soon and I won’t be sweating while tablescaping! Blessings~

Pam, Your “dining room” in your garden is beautiful! The white and gold looks so serene, elegant and makes me feel like the mercury reads 10 degrees cooler 🙂 I’m in love with your gorgeous vanilla-strawberry hydrangeas, I need to plant some!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Mary, thank you so much for visiting! The vanilla-strawberry hydrangeas have not been as pretty this summer…beautiful vanilla but now that they are turning strawberry, they just look dead. I think our extreme heat this summer is the reason!
