“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together”
Colossians 1:16-17
I have always loved to find the beauty in the ordinary. It’s most often the things we see in our everyday living that we overlook and think nothing about. When we started blogging a little over two years ago, one of the things we wanted to do was to share the ins and outs of our daily lives with you. About two months into blogging, we decided to start our Simple + Southern Sunday series with you…simply sharing pics of what we saw during the week. It gives you more of an idea of who we are, what we love and what we do! On this 100th edition of Simple + Southern Sunday, we want to share a few of our favorites! Keep in mind that there have been 900-1000 pictures, so this is just scratching the surface! We hope you’ve enjoyed seeing God’s beauty through our series!
We’ve seen many churches…
My Daddy has wonderful memories of this church!
This church stands near my Mother’s childhood home!
While on a business trip, Butch spotted this beautiful church!
We have had the privilege of seeing many old churches and cathedrals in Europe!
And some of the cutest kids ever…
Our first grandchild was born May 12, this was Ella Mae’s first appearance on Simple + Southern Sunday!
My nephew’s cute boys have been seen often on Sunday posts.
I loved this shot of Hunter riding his cow!
These three darling girls have made lots of appearances.
And being the foodies we are, you know you’ll always see a plate full of the best food around…
Butch and I often drive to Birmingham to eat at one of Frank Stitt’s restaurants!
I make my Mother’s fruitcake recipe every Christmas.
The best lemon tart at Chez Fonfon
And whatever else catches our eye, reminding us of the beautiful world God has placed us in…
*
*
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
*
*
Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
*
*
For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.
In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.
*
*
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land.
*
*
Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
*
*
For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”
Psalm 95:1-7
“I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’”
Psalm 122:1

I congratulate you and your husband to reach the 100th arousing interest in readers. Every week I’m hoping to be the 11 am (Spain time) to enjoy it. From my smarphone I read in the hospital where he is admitted Antonio … your health fails, but rather to comment via PC.

Me conduce hacia fuentes tranquilas aguas. Y repara mis fuerzas. Me guiará por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre. Aunque ande en valle de sombra de muerte, no temeré mal alguno, porque tú estás conmigo; tu vara y tu cayado me infundirán aliento. Preparas una mesa ante mí en presencia de mis enemigos; que ungiste mi cabeza con aceite; mi copa rebosa. Ciertamente el bien y la misericordia me seguirán todos los días de mi vida, y habitaré en la casa del Señor para siempre “.
Salmos 23: 1-6 Mucho amor y oraciones!
My dearest Dolores, my heart breaks that Antonio is back in the hospital. My husband and I just prayed for Him and you, our sweet friends! May God grant healing and comfort and peace to your souls. “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”
Psalms 23:1-6
Much love and prayers,
Pam and Butch
