“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us”
2 Corinthians 4:7
Each season brings about it’s own beauty…even the bleak winter that we find ourselves in! Have you ever noticed the calm that the winter brings? It’s almost as if we are given an invitation to rest…those days when the temps are below freezing, beckoning us to stay inside. Last week we had a week of true winter weather, with even a hint of snow! After a couple of very cold and wintry days, this girl needed some color and a little excitement, so I brought out a plethora of patterns! Come on in where it’s warm, there is room for you!

The table runner is a piece of fabric from a client’s job many years ago. I love the black background with the vases of flowers
The peacock bowl holds moss balls that provide texture.
The teal stemware is from Tuesday Morning several years ago…I love mixing it with the Artesian Road dinnerware by Tracy Porter.
The small vases, that are also by Tracy Porter, hold spray roses.

Jenna, thanks so much.. I do love to mix patterns. I have always followed Charles Faudree’s mantra…it is not about the match, but it is about the mix!

This is beautiful! And inspirational! Your peacock bowl in the center gave me a great idea for my upcoming Cork Poppers dinner — I have a wonderful soup tureen I could see as a quite dramatic centerpiece when filled with flowers. Definitely a possibility!

Explosión de colores que hace contrapunto con la ausencia de color que nos proporciona el paisaje cuando ha nevado.
Muy bello todo, cada detalle, cada pieza…
Buen trabajo, Pam.

I do love white/neutral homes, but I really LOVE when someone lets colors just rip. And in a dining room—what a great way to welcome guests, put bows on your home and experiment. The turquoise against the red is exciting and with all the bohemian tones here, you just know the dinner party will be a success. Thanks for the great post! Sandi
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Sandi…I did throw caution to the wind and let the color explode!!!
