“Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days”
Psalm 90:14
Hello sweet friends…wishing you a joy-filled day! Anyone else a morning person? I love to take time before the hustle and bustle of the day begins to sit quietly, read scripture, pray, and of course…enjoy my coffee! All of those things combined with a good breakfast make for a great jump start! For the past 21 days, our breakfasts have been Whole30 compliant, but we are not complaining….we are beginning to notice the health benefits! I am excited to share those with you in a later post! Our mornings usually begin at the island, and that’s where we are for this week’s Tablescape Tuesday! Nothing welcomes a day like pretty flowers and I just had to share our happy daffodils that are gracing our kitchen. They are popping up everywhere in our Appalachian Foothills…after all, they are one of the first signs of spring!
It is so easy to set the kitchen island for breakfast…the old wood charcuterie board provides warmth to the granite counter top.
Blue mason jars hold field daffodils and a scalloped bowl contains apples and oranges.
Mikasa dinnerware in the “fruit rapture” pattern is perfect for breakfast or anytime…I love its soft blues, greens, and yellows. The glasses are new, Katy found them at Anthropologie at a great bargain…they remind me of milk glass.
Happy daffodils are ready to burst open in full bloom!
A wood cake stand adds more warmth to the granite and provides a great place to stack plates!
Blue straw placemats add texture.
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
I so appreciate all your visits and I love to read your comments…they brighten my day!

How I would love to have some daffodils! We have nothing blooming yet because we tore so much out last year. I’m looking forward to enjoying your garden again this year. Yours is a dream garden, for sure! I’m glad you are feeling good results from Whole30. I look forward to hearing all about it. Your kitchen is lovely, and the added daffodils and beautiful china is a true treasure. I’m a morning person, too, and spend my mornings much like you. 🙂 Happy Tuesday!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Kim, you have accomplished so much with your sprinkler system and tearing out plantings. And, of course, all your inside projects. I am motivated to get moving on my inside projects! Stay tuned, sweet friend.
Stacey says
Such a bright beautiful kitchen! I love the yellow.
We are doing Weight Watchers right now and feeling pretty good too. The weight loss is going slowly for me but I’m ok with that. It’s nice to just feel better. Good luck with your plan. 😉
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Stacey. Hang in there, weigh watchers is a great plan!
Rita C. (Panoply) says
That’s a great place for tablescaping, Pam. I love casual, and all those elements fit the bill nicely. I always joke that I’m like a racehorse in that I can often be found eating while standing up. Your countertop would definitely invite sitting awhile. I’m so looking forward to getting my countertop without that blender on one end! HVae a great week.

Happy Spring Pam! Love the daffodils. Grew up in North Carolina and called them buttercups. Didn’t know the difference but they are all beautiful and make your breakfast setting so very welcoming.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Alice, has your area shown any signs of spring? You probably still have snow.
Belle Bleu Interiors says
