It’s that time again…time to celebrate a birthday in our family! If you have been following our blog, then you know we love to celebrate special occasions! And this week, the guest of honor is our chosen daughter, Katy as she turns another year older on Thursday!
I try to keep the person we are celebrating in mind when party time rolls around…what they like to eat and their personality to make the table match! The menu is always their favorites…including dessert. Butch is famous for his grilled burgers and that’s Katy’s request, so burgers it is! For dessert, it will be my mother’s fabulous red velvet cake recipe…it is always a family favorite.
Katy is such a blessing to our small family…she is a special gift from God and we are thankful He brought her into our lives 4 years ago. Today, pull up a seat at our feminine and fun table as we celebrate our feminine and fun birthday girl!
While shopping at Whole Foods, I spotted these gorgeous pink tulips that became my inspiration for our feminine and fun tablescape.
Pink napkins and pink transferware add more girlie touches to the table!
Checking in my linen cabinet, I found the perfect pink and green placemats for our party!
A quilted green table runner picks up the green from the placemats…
…and the vintage green Noritake stemware.
I love to use the unexpected for a table setting…the Italian figurines are called Spring!
