“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”
Psalms 118:24
The humidity and the hot temps that we’ve had lately here in the Appalachian Foothills have announced that summer is here…but the new season doesn’t technically begin until 11:24pm tonight for those of us living in the Central Time Zone! Last week, Butch and I enjoyed eating dinner on the patio four different nights…the mosquitoes weren’t too bad, and the scenery was perfect! Several mornings I sat in the cool morning breeze with my cup of coffee just enjoying the birds and wind chimes sing, the smell of lavender and magnolia, and the colors popping up all over the garden! Join me today as I am welcoming summer here at Everyday Living!
I hope y’all don’t tire of seeing hydrangeas on my tablescapes…limelights are now beginning to bloom!
I used a favorite linen tablecloth with sweet floral placemats.
A mirrored tray holds flowers cut from my garden: hydrangeas, angelonia, and a single zinnia!

Pam, your tablescape is lovely and the garden view is amazing! Love the pink touch ?
Thanks so much, Donna!
Happy Summer Solstice, Pam! It will be 6/21 in our Eastern time zone. We have welcoming, cooler temps here this morning (not for long, though) after another 1.5″ rain yesterday.
Rita, yesterday it poured rain within five miles of our house, and we never got a drop. Our humidity has been very high and sticky!
It must be so wonderful to sit under the pergola at a beautiful table overlooking a gorgeous garden! Feels like dining at a 5 star resort! Love to book a room Pam!!! 🙂
Aw, you are welcome anytime, reservations are not needed!
Pam, this is just beautiful as always! The gorgeous flowers from your garden make the most perfect and stunning centerpiece. I am swooning over the pretty toile china. This table welcomes Summer perfectly. Happy Summer, sweet friend!
Thanks so much, Shannon! Happy Summer to you!
Pam: Beautiful setting and a beautiful table. I do love the pink – pink is such a happy color. One would feel like a princess in your beautiful garden area !

Sandra, thanks so much…it is a lot of work!
Coffee early in the morning in your garden, mosquitoes and all, would taste extra special as your garden is so beautiful. When I see what you and Butch Have done with what God gave you I think how we are to keep his garden weed free and beautiful. Keep posting pictures of your garden. I love it!
Alice, your comments made my day…I shared them with Butch. We appreciate your very encouraging words. We are experiencing some cooler temps and rain from the tropical storm!
Summer is trying to come to Maine, but it isn’t quite here. Your table is lovely, and I’m in awe of your garden.
Thanks so much, Linda! Maine sounds delightful when our temps soar in July and August!
Lovely, Pam, and no I never get tired of seeing hydrangeas!!
Thanks so much, Carole!
I don’t think there is such a thing as hydrangea tire Pam, who can get tired of hydrangeas! Your table is perfectly lovely, gorgeous colors and china mix~ looks like dining will be inside this week ☔️
Jenna
Jenna, I hope you all are surviving the storm! It really looks rough on the coast!
We have a tropical storm headed our way.
I never tire of hydrangeas at all. Pretty zinnia. I planted some and they came up quickly but a ways away from blooms. They are lanky because there hasn’t been much sun. Rainy all last week and cloudy when it wasn’t raining.
Your table is pretty. I like angelonia and it looks pretty on the mirrored tray.
Wow, I didn’t know there was a tropical storm brewing. It rained really hard a few miles from us yesterday, but we didn’t get a drop. We actually need rain at our house. Have a wonderful Tuesday, Bonnie!
Pam and Butch, I always love seeing your garden-it is magnificent! Your table setting is beautiful as well, especially with your Hydrangeas. I have three plants, but none have bloomed yet-I can’t wait. My Peonies just finished and I miss them already. Thanks for sharing the beauty of your world.
Hugs,
Noreen
Noreen, thanks so much for your lovely visit and sweet comments! The garden is a labor of love! Hugs ~
Relajantes imágenes de tan bonito jardín. La imagen de la mesa con vistas a la fuente es sencillamente hermosa, ha mejorado todo su entorno y las hortensias son espectaculares.
Un placer que permitas estar en tu jardín.

Dolores, our garden is growing, we are getting some rain and the temps have not soared, yet! Thanks so much for your wonderful visits across the wide ocean!
A collection of garden flowers makes the perfect center attraction! Everything is so pretty – from your table to beyond. And, you are right. We must enjoy the outdoors now. Soon we won’t be able to stand the heat. Happy Tuesday! 🙂

When do we get to see your table AFTER dinner? hahaha! Just lovely!
It may be hot there but your table is as cool and fresh as a cucumber. A very pretty, charming one! I do love this particular setting, Pam.
Thanks so much sweet Jeanie!
Dear Pam, that just looks so fresh and inviting. It’s the Winter doldrums where I live, so that is a feast for the eyes! Mimi xxx

Just glorious! Looks so peaceful. Makes me want to “lie down in green pastures”… Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much, Cheryl. Our pasture is getting drenched today!
Pam, Love your table. Never tire of hydrangeas. The mosquitoes are really bad here! I generally wear long sleeves and pants when going outside but they found the holes in my sandals. While taking photos they take advantage of my being still to feast. I love to had the windows open and I hear the birds outside. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Sylvia D.
Thanks Sylvia, I think everyone is having to fight mosquitoes! Have a wonderful weekend!
What a beautifully set table out in the gardens. 🙂

Just beautiful Pam! I can’t think of a better way to welcome summer! We’re cooling off some next week and the humidity is dropping too, and I’m looking forward to some alfresco dining.
