“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23
Latte, cappuccino, espresso, dark bold roast…no matter how it’s served, I love coffee! I start my mornings at my coffee station, and if I’m honest, I would rather not have conversation before I’ve had my first cup! I have enjoyed coffee for years, but when I first started, I put so much cream and sugar in mine that it drowned out the flavor! These days, I am a three cup kind of girl…and I like it black! I like coffee so much that this is my second post on it…you can see the first one here! Today, let’s take a look at some pics of my favorite drink and then we can tackle the day…but first coffee!
For the last three mornings, our temps have been in the upper 50’s with lower humidities, perfect weather for an espresso in the garden.
A summer afternoon pick-me-up is an iced latte and a square of dark chocolate.
Katy had the cutest porch where we shared this sweet little brunch, with fresh fruit and coffee, of course. She has recently moved from her sweet home, but we will cherish fond memories of her first house.
What is a coffee table without a cup of coffee?
One of my favorite breakfast spots is Alabama Biscuit in Birmingham…a fabulous biscuit filled with mascarpone, fresh blueberries, and topped with fig jam and a steaming mug of coffee!
My own little coffee bar…Nespresso Pixie makes a perfect cup of espresso, cappuccino, or latte. A French press makes really great coffee!
Dessert and coffee…always a winner, especially at The Swag!
I always enjoy a perfect latte at Baristas on Oceania cruise ships!
Dark chocolate caramel with sea salt and espresso!
Who doesn’t enjoy a breakfast tray with a fresh cup of coffee and a muffin?
I like my coffee black, can you guess which one is mine?
Breakfast is often eaten at our kitchen island…but the coffee on the left was just for the photo, Butch doesn’t drink it, and I can’t imagine why!
A beautiful little cafe at the Paris Market in Savannah with buttery leather banquettes and marble-topped bistro tables is the perfect spot to enjoy a latte with pumpkin and chocolate-hazelnut macarons!
Italian roast coffee in a vintage cup and saucer!
You have probably noticed by now that I love an espresso accompanied with dark chocolate!
What better way to celebrate your birthday than with a delicious dessert and espresso at Highlands Bar and Grill! In case you are wondering about the dessert…a butterscotch tart with caramel pecan popcorn, chantilly, and butterscotch custard.
A little plate of pumpkin macarons and you guessed, espresso.
Coffee with a friend is a great way to spend an afternoon!
What about you, how do you take your coffee?
Thank you so much for your visits and the sweet comments, they always make my day!

Ooh, Pam, we could be best friends! Black coffee, and a great dessert….they all looked good to me!
I wish we could get together for coffee and dessert, and most importantly conversation!
The coffees all look wonderful! I wish I could do black coffee. I like Mochas…..sugar and calories but such a treat!
Aw, I also like mochas! Happy 4th!
I love to watch your enthusiasm for coffee but … my dear friend … I can not accompany you there because I think I have not tried the coffee for over 30 years. At first I did not sit well because it accelerated my heart rate until I was manifested hyperthyroidism that I feel guilty of those symptoms.
But … I willingly admit to accompany you with a delicious cup of tea and naturally without making the slightest gesture of displeasure to those sweets that look so delicious and attractive … hahahaha
The photos are beautiful and I enjoyed the coffee as you have presented it so wonderfully.
A hug
Dolores
¡Abrazos!
Dearest Dolores, I would be so happy to share a cup of tea with you and dessert! Butch doesn’t drink coffee and tasted it once and he thought it was terrible. Here in the South, we drink mostly iced tea! I like mine with mint and lemon! Hugs!
I feel like Everyday Living needs to publish a coffee table BOOK!! These gorgeous photos, and inspirational thoughts ..making extravagance out of everyday moments! So divine! Would make a beautiful book my friend!?☕️
Sweet friend, I would love to publish a coffee table book…your are so encouraging! Love and hugs!
Awesome! I love coffee, too!
Thanks for visiting, Gina!
I love black coffee also. Everything I saw in this post is calling my name. I got hooked on the Ghirardelli dark chocolate sea salt caramel when you posted about it a while back. It is so good but I have to hide it or when I have a craving there won’t be any!
Enjoyable post.
Bonnie, the chocolate with a cup of coffee is so perfect!
Lovely and elegant. Thanks for sharing.
Marilyn
Thank you, Marilyn!
I like my coffee black, but I got into a bad habit of adding vanilla caramel creamer. I gave it all up in January. It’s hard to smell coffee every morning and not drink any! When I just can’t resist, I have one cup and then let that be it for days or weeks. I know. How could I? I know! The caffeine affects me so much worse now that I’m not used to drinking coffee. I have trouble sleeping the entire night after having one cup of coffee in the morning. Totally not worth the splurge! I do love your kitchen, too! It’s such a happy place. 🙂
Caffeine can be bothersome to many people. I wouldn’t drink it if it kept me up all night…just enjoy the smell!
Oh, my day starts with coffee as well and has for over 50 years. I have a Keurig and I add cream, a flavored Skinny Syrup and some Stevia. Makes this girl happy very early in the morning. Enjoyed this post so much!
Lea, thanks so much…I am drinking mine now!
Pam, your photographs look wonderful! Mr. Bleu loves coffee. I worry that he drinks too much. I’m more of a tea drinker, but I do like a good cup of black coffee with a delicious desert. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Shannon, thanks sweet friend! I also love tea! Happy 4th!
What a delightful post. I begin every day with a cup of coffee piled high with frothed milk which makes it even more special. I must confess to adding a little sugar, too, as I just can’t do black.
Linda, your coffee sounds great to me and even better on a beautiful summer day in Maine!
On those beautiful days, you can be sure it’s on the porch!
I hate to admit that I down a pot of coffee before 10am!….Just pass the cream please!….Love all of your gorgeous photos of coffee and the pretties that accompany it. When I am having dessert, it must be accompanied by coffee…like peanut butter and jelly! Oh and I spy my fav dark chocolate and sea salt caramel!
Have a great weekend Pam!
Shirley, you and I could put away the coffee for sure! Wishing you a great weekend!
I’m with you Pam, coffee first, then conversation!! 3 cups of black too, but mine must be Starbucks~ I am sure sipping it in your garden setting is pure heaven! Of course, now I’m craving a sinful biscuit and a decadent dessert!
Jenna
Jenna, coffee on the beach is perfect!
I’m one of the few who doesn’t like coffee (but adore the smell!). But you make it so inviting I would be sorely tempted! Loved that birthday photo and all your beautiful pictures!
Thanks Jeanie! My hubby thinks it smells good!
Love the coffee blog! I knew we should have more things in common! I love coffee too…any flavor any style! But I have to watch the amount I drink a day because my heart pitter-patters too much with caffeine.
I’d love to sit down with you, and have coffee with conversation with an Alabama biscuit! That looks too fabulous!
Love you, my friend!
Esther, how I would love to share coffee and a biscuit with you my friend! Love and hugs!
I never drank coffee until I worked at a coffee shop serving it to others. They roasted beans there from around the world and the smell of the delicious roasted beans got me. I have been drinking it ever since…..cream, no sugar. I can only drink regular till noon but always have a decaf after dinner. I just love all the ways you have your coffee! Having coffee with a friend is the best kind of coffee break.
Ann Marie, coffee with a friend is truly the best. Thanks for your lovely visit!
Although, I was taking black tea while reading your post in the morning, yet I felt the taste of coffee in every sip?☕
Thanks so much for your visit! ☕️
Beautiful pictures, and I love coffee too. I am in awe of your kitchen, I love chickens and roosters, and you have the ones I would love to have on your counters. I don’t have any room for them in my tiny kitchen.
Thanks so much Carole! Happy 4th!
If I didn’t already love coffee, I would now! I do add French vanilla creamer to mine though. All of these pastries and desserts look yummy (especially with coffee)!
JoAnne, coffee and desserts just go together like peanut butter and jelly!
Gorgeous photos! I’m the same way, I can’t even handle a conversation before I’ve had coffee. And I love it sweet and light. I recently discovered cold brew, which I love during the SoCal summers.
Thanks, Amy. It is good to know that there are others like me! ☕️?
Lovely and delicious post,I’m hungry now!Love coffee too and drink it everyday in the morning…Best wishes!
I love your visits, Maristella!
I must admit that I love the smell of coffee brewing when I am out camping, but I’ve never been a coffee drinker. Never had a cup. 🙂 Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
Jann, you sound like my hubby, no coffee for him!
