“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen”
Hebrews 11:1
Happy Wednesday to all of you sweet friends! I hope you all had a fun and safe July 4th….with all of the grilling and homemade ice cream that comes along with the celebration of our nation’s Independence Day! You may think I’ve lost track of my days, posting Tablescape Tuesday on a Wednesday, but let me explain. Every afternoon over the past several days we have been getting terrible thunderstorms with winds in excess of 40 mph and torrential rainfall with lots of lightning…and it seems to come out of nowhere, very unexpected! And guess what…you won’t find this girl outside doing a tablescape with the rain coming in sideways! On Monday, it looked very promising and I thought that I could surely make it outside for an alfresco tablescape…and I even had everything ready! But as soon as I got everything together, the dark clouds started rolling in and the wind started to pick up. So I marched back inside and waited for it to pass. When it was over, I decided not to be defeated. I wiped off the table and chairs and set my garden table to bring you this week’s Tablescape Tuesday…or I guess we should say Tablescape Wednesday…better late than never!
*
I wanted just a fun table, but very simple in detail…
.. .the festive cloth lends itself to a wide variety of colors to be used…
…apricot colored napkins, pink vase filled with limelight hydrangeas!
Rattan chargers add much needed texture…
…ruffled yellow candle stands holding lime-colored candles…lemon napkin rings!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver’
Proverbs 25:11

Thanks so much for your visits, your comments make my day!

What lengths we’ll go for our tables! Nice color and texture, Pam – even without the chargers, the garden always provides. And you can see evidence of the wind in the flames almost sideways in a few of those stills. 😉

Thanks Rita, we had another bad storm yesterday afternoon. We have had so much rain!

This table setting was worth the wait Pam! So beautiful and fun! The tablecloth certainly set the tone for your fun outdoor table and the candle sticks are just perfect! Always love to see the beautiful garden in the background…your limelights are stunning!

Thanks Shirley, we had more storms again yesterday!

‘Tis the season for blazing-hot days and pop-up afternoon thunder showers! The rain comes close to us but usually separates and goes around us. It’s the summer pattern we get every year. Crops need rain for WEEKS, and nothing. It’s better this year, though. We had two quick showers last week. We go with what we get, right? Your apricot napkins are a delicious pop of color with the cobalt glasses. That colorful table cloth calls for a simple setting. It adds so much on its own! Another lovely table in your gorgeous garden for any day of the week, Tuesday, Wednesday, or whenever storms allow! Happy Wednesday! 🙂

So nice to wake up to the beauty of your table while I sip my coffee. I have been so inspired by your tall grass that I planted some in my garden..a little different variety but I have high hopes for it. It is a beautiful day here in Asheville, NC. Blessings. Dianne

Thanks so much, I know your grass will be lovely! Blessings~

Loved that “marched right back inside and waited for the storm to pass”. Perseverance wins the game every time. Your table makes me want to get in the car and drive until I get there. Hope your holiday was perfect.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Alice, how I would love that. It is 11:40 am and it is pouring rain after a beautiful morning, comes up so suddenly, I feel like I am living at the beach!

Another stunning table in your gorgeous garden Pam! I have been getting text alerts all week from WBRC about storm alerts, wow, how much rain you’ve had! We’ve had some showers on the coast but mostly during the night. My poor SIL, in Homewood, has a leak in her roof and can’t get anyone to come fix it! I admire your determination, and love the apricot napkins with the lemon rings!

Jenna, we had two storms yesterday with torrential rain, high winds, and cloud to ground lightning. I don’t want to complain after last year’s drought, but too much rain is as bad as no rain!
Sandra @ Maison De Jardin says
Pam: I am in love with the lovely and cheerful tablecloth. Such a beautiful table, set in your fabulous garden. One would only want to sit and savor the moments.
Wishing you blue skies and fair weather.

Your table looks so cheerful amid the rain storms!! I did that the other day – was all set to start hauling everything outside – then a big cloud rolls in and the winds pick up. Your garden setting is just beautiful, I need some help in that area!!! No pretty flowers yet, we are still working on some landscaping for this house – it had nothing but weeds when we moved in. I am in awe over your pretty gardens!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Ann, thanks for your gracious comments. Gardening is back breaking work…but we enjoy when it rewards our work.
Sylvia D. says
Pam, thanks for sticking to it. That is a fun tablecloth. It will provide a wide range of color schemes. Love the cobalt glasses. Have a great day. Sylvia D.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much for your visit, Sylvia. Happy weekend!

I always enjoy your alfresco tables. We haven’t had much rain and could really use some. But I can relate to getting a table set only to have the rain start falling. I experienced that this spring. I was scrambling to get things back into the house. Thanks for sharing this pretty table.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks Sarah. I can’t believe it is July and we are having so much rain!
Liz @ Infuse With Liz says
I just love that bright tablecloth it really is so summery! I like how you were able to pick up on all the colors with your details like the blue glassware, napkins and candles! The rain and lightning you’ve gotten sound kind of scary!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Liz, we finally have had 3 days without rain!

It’s been terribly windy here too. I don’t think I could have pulled together a photo without things blowing all about so kudos to you! I love that tablecloth — such a good cloth for so many different colors!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Jeanie, the wind does present certain challenges!
Chloe Crabtree says
I love the colors in this tablescape, it is so bright and refreshing! I should ask you what folks ask me, where do you keep all of your dishes and linens? Thank you so much for sharing at Celebrate Your Story! I am pinning this to my tabletop board!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Chloe! The dishes I use often are all in my kitchen cabinets. Seasonal and less used dishes are in large Rubbermaid containers and stored in closets. Basically wherever I can find a spot!
