“For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly”
Psalm 84:11
“To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens!”
Psalms 123:1
“Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.”
Isaiah 12:2
Yesterday I was looking at some of our travel photos and found this one from one of our favorite destinations, Santorini, Greece…
…and I don’t ever remember seeing this photo of me in front of a small church
in Koper, Slovenia!
When I see flowers, I take pictures!
An appetizer of heirloom tomatoes, grilled red onion, mozzarella, basil, and croutons is summertime on a plate at a favorite cafe…
…dining alfresco is so enjoyable especially in perfect weather. We considered it but a look at the radar convinced us otherwise. Lots of folks were dining outside when we arrived but were quickly driven indoors by rain and wind. However, I couldn’t help but notice these two ladies who refused to miss the outdoor experience. After several attempts by their gracious waiter to move them inside, I watched as he was just as attentive to them while carrying an umbrella. I was amused that it didn’t seem to bother them at all!
I think the tractor has seen better days!
It was a perfect day for sailing!
This is just about as simple and southern as it gets!
“I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
Psalm 122:1

You always make my Sunday beautiful Pam! I love the shot through iron gate in Greece and the old tractor especially! As for dining in the rain, that is hysterical! We certainly have had our share of showers lately 🙂

The older ladies were oblivious to the rain, Jenna!

It’s rare to see people enjoying rain so much. Maybe they have a new perspective after times of droubt. That would do it! The old tractor is a jewel. I hope you have a blessed Sunday, friend!

I always am blessed by your blog. May God continue to use you and yours for His glory….and that tractor made me think of my Papaw and Mom (grandma) who are now with Jesus. My beautiful grandmother would have loved the tiger lilies around it.

Last picture is awesome as well as your Greece photo. The second scroll back reminded me of the first pic that is gorgeous. I do love sunrises and sunsets and you do so well making food shots. Was the food shot from your cell? That looks delicious.
Always enjoy your Simple Southern Sunday’s.
