Raise your hand if you are ready for tomorrow! As you all know, tomorrow is no ordinary Friday, it’s the day that we officially welcome my favorite time of the year…fall! And why do I love fall so much? I am so glad you asked! Wood burning fireplaces, cups of dark espresso, soft cashmere sweaters, fields of white cotton, roadside goldenrods, and all things pumpkin spice are just a few reasons why! Being the foodie that I am, I always anticipate the joy of big pots of soup simmering on the stove…the ultimate comfort food! Today, I have rounded up some recipes that will soon make their way into my kitchen…and may I be the first to wish you a Happy Fall Y’all!

Pam, I am so excited for fall to start! However, here in Oklahoma it has been in the 90s, but next week the highs are supposed to be in the 70s. I can’t wait. I think this is my most favorite time of the year, and I do love soups too! I make a lot of different ones in the fall. The ones you showcased today look yummy! Happy Fall, sweet friend!!!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, Shannon. We are anxious waiting for cooler temps! ???

To answer your question, SOUP is my favorite soup. I love them all! Thanks for sharing these delicious recipes. Can’t wait to try them when the weather gets out of this current humid heat wave. Happy Thursday!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Hopefully, soup weather will be coming soon!
Sandra @ Maison De Jardin says
Oh Pam, you created this post just for me. I love, love, love soup! And of course soup corresponds with autumn. Maybe I love autumn so much because I love soup? I agree with Kim, that SOUP is my favorite soup. Although, I am partial to Brunswick Stew and potato corn chowder.
Enjoy this beautiful season and especially those cotton fields.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Sandra, I love Brunswick Stew!
Carole @ From My Carolina Home says
I just made some chicken chili last week. I have to say my favorite is creamy tomato basil soup. The crab and corn soup I made last summer and served cold will be made again to serve hot. Your Italian Sausage Orzo soup looks really rib-sticking good. I’d have to leave out the celery in the recipes, but that’s no biggie.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Carole, all of your soups sound wonderful! Hopefully, it will be soup weather soon!
Esther Maddux says
How can anyone not like soup?!!
As for me, they all sound fabulous….even though it is hot & mucky outside! I can live on soups alone!
Thank you for some awesome ideas!

My husband loves soup of any kind, be it good or bad! Here in Colorado this week we have been waking up to very chilly temps, 40 degrees is chilly. Forecasters say we could havesnow this weekend, yuck! So the soup pot will be on and the oven will be turning out baked sweet potatos to make sweet potato bread.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Oh my snow in September! Wow, it doesn’t feel remotely like autumn here! Alice, I would love your recipe for sweet potato bread if you would email it to me, I would make it for my Daddy! Have I told you we are coming to Aspen in October?
Alice says
Lost your email address, please send and I’ll get the sweet potato bread to you. It’s delicious!

One of the things I love about this season is being able to serve more soups and chili. My dinner time hour can be a little busy as I keep Maddie in the afternoons so being able to make these ahead and transfer to crock pot is helpful. Both Bob and I love these one dish meals. I am definitely going to try some of these…Taco being one and the Chicken and Mushroom. I have a recipe for cauliflower soup that is to die for. Thanks for sharing Pam.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Dianne, I know you enjoy keeping Maddie in the afternoons, one dish meals are helpful during busy schedules! Maybe, you will share your cauliflower soup soon!

Here in Italy soups are beloved! More or less every city has a traditional kind of soup: in Veneto region, where I live, our best soup is “Pasta e fagioli”, a creamy beans soup with olive oil, a little tomato sauce and rosemary with broken tagliatelle. If you like, you can also add a little bacon for a stronger taste. It’s deliciuos!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I have enjoyed Pasta e fagioli…it is delicious!
