“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable.”
Isaiah 40:28
Is it just me or does anyone else feel a sense of renewal and refreshment as the seasons change? They each bring about a certain and peculiar beauty that I love, especially when it comes to my favorite place…my garden! Whether it be winter when the garden is dormant and bare, or spring when everything comes to life with buds, or summer when blooms are at their peak…or autumn when shades of gold and brown replace green, I love it all! Since the weather is close to perfect on this autumnal day, let’s take a little stroll!
My favorite time in the garden is when the sun is barely peeping over the horizon and the light gives a golden glow!
The ornamental grasses are changing…
…only a few white hydrangea blooms remain.
Sunshine ligustrumns really stand out against the fading garden!
By accident, this photo seemed to frame Butch’s workshop. Next spring, you all need to help me campaign for my Renaissance Man to get busy on my potting shed…I have been most patient!
Black-eyed Susans are a perfect autumn bloomer!
Most of the blooms on the limelight hydrangeas are dried and brown except this lone soft pink one!
We have had dry weather since Irma. By this time, I am tired of watering and you can tell by looking at the vinca!
The rusty scarecrow is still hanging out in the corner!
The apricot drift roses bloom from spring until frost!
I never dreamed that gardening would become a hobby. I have learned so much from so many of you who are passionate gardeners! Thank you for your visits and comments…they truly make my day brighter!

You really have a beautiful garden. The way it’s set up is very dramatic. I do enjoy this time of year too and watching the garden change is a treat. Those ligustrums look fantastic. I’m not familiar with them- I think they’re for warmer zones than mine. You must start campaigning for your She-Shed early next year so you can get the plans and motivation all set!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am working on the she-shed, Liz! Thank you and have a wonderful Thursday!

Oh, my gosh…what a visual treat! Autumn gardens are too often overlooked for their great beauty.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Alycia. Each season brings a certain beauty!
Alice says
With a garden this large and beautiful a potting shed is a must, Pam?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I definitely want one! Did you get snow?
Alice says
No snow in Boulder but just above Boulder that area received 18″. However our high one day was 41. We’ve been burning the fireplace every day. It makes me want to put the Christmas trees up.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
We may freeze in Aspen, hopefully it gets warmer!

You have so much more gold and orange than we do here! It’s just beautiful, a real haven.
I’ve been doing the cutting back and all… always a little sad!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Yes, I love autumn, but it is always a little sad when everything dies back!

Sigh, your garden looks beautiful in every season Pam! Those apricot drift roses are quite wonderful…I was wondering about your potting shed, tell Renaissance Man we’re all waiting!

Your garden is awesome! Love the photos.
I do get a sense of renewal with the new seasons and I love Fall before the time change. I’m not fond of the darkness, but I love candles so the Fall/Winter are great times to smell the scents of some great candles and give my home some lovely lighting 🙂
Blessings,
Elizabeth

Thank you so much Elizabeth for your comments! Have a wonderful weekend! Blessings, Pam

Your garden is fabulous, Pam. You definitely need your potting shed, complete with a good work bench. I do love your apricot roses and your rusty scarecrow. Your scarecrow has such personality.
We are terribly dry in this area also. There is a promise of a bit of rain next week. I know cooler days will be here soon and I am so ready.
Have a great day and a lovely weekend!

Thank you Sandra! We are expecting lots of rain by Sunday from Nate. Have a wonderful weekend!

Good Afternoon Pam, You have a beautiful garden and even though it is autumn, there is still a fair bit of colour in your garden.
I have left behind my beautiful garden as we have moved to a new house. The garden is in a terrible state, but we are working hard to bring it back to life. At the moment I am planting snowdrops, bluebells and whitebells ready for Spring.
I have really enjoyed strolling around your garden with you, it has been a lovely treat.
With warmest wishes.
Daphne
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much for visiting Daphne, I just visited with you as well! Best wishes on your new garden…I am still very much an amateur, but I do enjoy trying! Have a wonderful weekend!

Your gardens are a work of art. That’s just a fact. I so enjoyed the stroll…so much beauty to take in. I love the lingering pinks with all the autumn colors. I got out and took pictures of my lingering roses this morning. It thrills me that they are still blooming. I have a hunch that Butch is going to build you the She-Shed of your dreams. Have a happy and blessed weekend.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you Dianne. Butch wants to build it himself, and he really doesn’t have time. He is still working and is not ready to retire
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I sent that before I was finished. Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!
Rita C. (Panoply) says
Oh, Pam, your garden still looks wonderful. I am still watering annuals and, like your region, we haven’t had any rain for nearly three weeks, since Irma. We may get some this weekend, not sure if it’s Nate or not. My annuals are very leggy and leaves turning yellow. Whether you have your shed or not, your creativity will still flow through the coming years, I’m sure. Enjoy the Harvest Moon tonight!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
It looks like we could get a lot of rain from Nate. Have a great weekend, Rita!

Pam dear, 2 years ago I received your posts and I can see how your garden is evolving every day more beautiful. The central roundabout with the figures of the two children is incredibly beautiful, I love the lawn between the stone tiles. I know that it is the work of your husband Bucht that as you say is a man of the Renaissance (this phrase is not known in Spain)
My congratulations to you both for the magnificent result that your work gives you. Always a strong hug
Dolores

Yes, I love when the seasons change. Each season does give a sense of renewal and refreshment! God knew us well and provided that for us.
Thank you for the pleasant stroll through your autumn garden. Amazing how long the apricot drift roses bloom. Black- eyed Susans are the best!
I enjoyed your garden parties all summer so much! Thank you organizing the linky party and inspiring us with your lovely garden, too.
I’ve had my granddaughter visiting here all week during her fall break. Looks like she will stay longer because of the storm headed our way. Have a good weekend.

Thank you Bonnie! Praying that Nate will spare us her wrath! Blessings!

Jill, welcome to my little space in blog land. I am excited to meet you. I have a sweet friend and follower in Boulder, perhaps you saw her comment! My hubby and I are flying to Aspen on Thursday, I am hoping not to have snow. I hope your sweet visits will be often!
