“Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;”
James 1:19
Happy Tuesday dear friends! We just returned late last night from a wonderful 5 day trip to Aspen, and I will give you a hint of why we were there…it truly was music to our ears! But that is for a different post…stay tuned!
If you have been around Everyday Living for the past few months, you’ve noticed that on Tuesdays we have been outside. I love tablescaping in the garden or on the patio…because God’s creation is the perfect backdrop for an alfresco setting! Since the cooler weather is now upon us, we will soon find ourselves inside…but not just yet! I am enjoying it as long as I can! This week’s tablescape is brought to you by my April Cornell tablecloth that I had nearly forgotten about until I saw it in Southern Lady magazine. I searched though my linens and pulled out the cheerful blue and green paisley print for a non-traditional fall table! I always like to use something a little different! Grab your sweater and join me on the patio for A Happy Harvest!
I brought out the blue from the tablecloth with napkins and stemware! The green shows up in salad plates and candles!
The centerpiece is a happy harvest of Indian corn and an assortment of pumpkins!
The cute French appetizer plates are from Sur La Table a couple of years ago!
I like to use the rattan chargers for their texture!
I purchased the denim napkins during the spring and misplaced them. Do y’all ever do that? Please tell me I’m not the only one! They were perfect with the tablecloth and I found them just in time!
Noritake “sweet swirl” in dark blue is stemware that I use year round!
“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver”
Proverbs 25:11
The dough bowl was made by a sweet man that he and his wife were my parents best friends. When my Mom passed away, I brought the bowl to my house to enjoy. Since then this precious couple have both passed away, and needless to say, I treasure it!
Thanks for all your visits and comments! They sure do brighten my day!

Love the AC cloth, and yes, I sure do exactly as you in misplacing an item (or two…). Another pretty setting, Pam. Looking forward to your Aspen happenings……we just returned from a country roads trip here in WV. 😉

Thanks Rita, I need a road trip to WV!

Since I am a blue girl, I love the tablecloth and stemware. Your dough bowl is a treasure to you, I am sure. When we have and can use things like your dough bowl, it seems to make everything more special. All just beautiful.
Will be anxious to hear all about Aspen. Have a beautiful week!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Sandra! Aspen was truly beautiful!

Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Karen…I hope to have one more table outdoors!
Alice says
Love your blue table Pam as once a year I set my table in blue for a month. Currently I am searching every corner of my home for a cookbook I love. I am looking for Enda Lewis and Scott Peacock’s carrot cake recipe. It’s the BEST. I’ve made it before and it disappeared before my very eyes? Hope you had a fabulous trip to Aspen.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Oh Alice, I love carrot cake! I am so glad I am not the only one who misplaces stuff!
RS says
Thank you for sharing this table setting. I love it all, that tablecloth is a statement piece for sure.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much, I am glad I pulled out the cloth to use!

Isn’t it wonderful to be able to create outdoors in the fresh air? Just something about it…really activates the creativity! I like the back story on your dough bowl. Very sweet. Those items with a fond history make the best tablescapes, don’t they?
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Alycia! I love that most of my table ware has a story!

Thank you for sharing the memories with your beautiful, soothing tablescape. The blue and green with the sweet French plates was a very nice transition. I really enjoyed seeing another view of your garden with something beautiful growing on your arbor. We have frost warnings in the mountains. Just have to say that the Book of James is one of my favorite books of the Bible.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thank you so much Dianne! The weather has been so pretty here, cool mornings and warm afternoons…perfect for autumn!
Pinky says

Aspen! Can’t wait to read all about it! I adore the tablecloth with blue swirls. Both a traditional and modern look together.

Thanks so much!
Esther Maddux says
Really pretty blue background – blue denim, blue glasses, but they look so light & refreshing against the tablecloth.
And Pam, my dear, you are always so efficient & organized I can’t imagine you misplacing anything. I see you boxing every setting up in each box of its own! But I know you don’t do that as you use things over & over in other settings, which always impressed me! So creative & original!
As always this post blessed me! Thank you! ♥️
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Esther, I have always flown by the seat of my pants. I am a procrastinator and unorganized!

Kim, I had searched high and low for the napkins all summer.

Oh my goodness I love it all. The tablecloth is so pretty. I think I have commented on your beautiful dough bowl before but I must comment again on it. I LOVE IT! So versatile. I have one that was handed down to me from my great-grandmother. Such a pretty setting outside. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

Thanks so much Cindy! Blessings~

How beautiful a setting…on the table and in the view! Your dough bowl is certainly a precious treasure. Here is a random question…how do you keep your white columns so pristine? Here in SC with our high humidity and heat, it’s a constant mildew battle with my columns!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much Roxanne. We had the house painted last fall, so everything still looks nice! We don’t have much of a mildew problem, at least not so far!
Karen says
I love your table, it is a perfect transition into fall. Your centerpiece picked up all the colors in your table cloth so nicely.
Pam @ Everyday Living says
Thanks so much for your visit, Karen!

April Cornell designs are so distinctive and I love your pretty tablecloth and blue accents at your table. Yes, I misplace items A LOT, usually when I’m in a hurry, but it tends to be one napkin or napkin ring that goes missing, so aggravating!
Pam @ Everyday Living says
I am glad I am not alone, Mary!
