“When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul.”
Psalms 94:19
Every Sunday here at Everyday Living, most of you know to expect our week in photos! Whether it be an old barn, a gorgeous church, or some delicious food, we attempt to share our lives with you from behind our lens. Oftentimes you will see pics that others in our family have taken, mostly around Northeast Alabama. But this week, since we were in Aspen, Colorado part of the time, we will be taking you to a few other places! From Aspen, to Atlanta, to our Appalachian Foothills, this is our week in photos…
“Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:6-7
Driftwood at Maroon Lake near Aspen!
Beautiful aerial shot of DeSoto Falls in NE AL!
Aspen trees in downtown Aspen…they are often referred to as “quaking aspens” because their flat leaf stem causes them to quake or tremble in the wind!
A beautiful area around our downtown riverfront!
Besides their beautiful autumn color, the aspen’s bark is white and quite beautiful!
These cuties, Nola and Grey, had a great time at their fall festival!
Cotton fields are in abundance near our home here in the Appalachian Foothills…soon it will be harvested by large cotton picking machinery!
Ajax Tavern is a popular restaurant in Aspen…Butch loves cheesecake and this cinnamon creme fraiche cheesecake with salted caramel, apples, and pecans did not disappoint!
Late afternoon sun glistens on the water of Maroon Lake!
Beautiful sunset looking out over the lights of Atlanta as we were about to land!
Gorgeous sunset over our Coosa River!
“I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber.”
Psalms 121:1-3

All so beautiful, Pam. My favorites are of Maroon Lake, the Aspen trees, and the cotton fields. But, you do have a gift for catching sunsets, they are glorious.

Maroon Bells area is indeed a beautiful area any time of year. Here in Boulder the Aspens have shed there leaves but the white bark on the trees are especially pretty during our long winters when the snow is falling. We had to take out nine in our terrace and two in the front because Aspens only live twenty years at our altitude. We tried to save them by spraying but nothing worked. The down side is that sonething falls from them all year long causing lots of yard word. Glad you had a nice trip and returned home safely.
